  1. RosenkrantzGM Arrival at Port Wander produces a challenge from the Administratum, as Terms of the Rosenkrantz Warrant are called in - specifically, the Rite of Visitation. The Port Authority has placed an indefinite hold on any undocking permissions until the matter with the Administratum is resolved.
  2. RosenkrantzGM The Librarium Vault has been sealed off from any non-Dynastic personnel. This, as it happens, includes all of you. Only Confessor Berahrt, Lord Heinrich, and the Household Guard are allowed on the same deck as the Librarium.
  3. RosenkrantzGM The reason is very clear: The Rosenkrantz Warrant will be reviewed and examined against the Digesta Emporia Calixia. A rare occasion indeed for the Warrant proper to be taken out of its security vaults.
  4. Makh_Chomun is currently dressing himself appropriately for the coming dinner. This includes his immaculately tailored uniform that is the representation of his station: Master-At-Arms. Draped over his left shoulder is a fur from a massive predator he himself had killed with his own hands in service to the dynasty. Almost as an after thought, and at the suggestion of 3rd Lt. ven Dreiger, he clips one of...
  5. Makh_Chomun ...his holstered bolt-pistols and his trusty mono-edged falchion.
  6. Varenus_Grandier is engaging in conversation with Lucretia
  7. Lucretia is engaging in conversation with Varenus before starting to dress up and get ready.
  8. Makh_Chomun "Spiffy enough?" He asks his subordinates.
  9. Varenus_Grandier "I'll leave you to get ready."
  10. Lucretia "I'll pay you a visit once I'm ready." She apologizes with a soft smile.
  11. Varenus_Grandier bows and exits, heading for his chambers
  12. Caerwyn_Beraht is busily reading a Tome of Navigation Laws, one book of many in his "To Read" stack. He's like a machine, flipping through the pages of parchment at a furious pace. His face is a mask of concetration.
  13. RosenkrantzGM Downfield: "The true air of an officer, Master Chomun."
  14. Lucretia gets to work on getting ready, preparing her finest naval dress uniform and making sure her chainsword and revolver are in top condition.
  15. Baine_Mort wounder around the bridge. He is dressed in his Navy Uniform, as he has both his bolt pistol and Mono-Sword holstered.
  16. Varenus_Grandier wanders around for while, dressed in his best clothing as always
  17. Makh_Chomun Makh lets out a bark of laughter at that.
  18. Varenus_Grandier seeks the techpriest, curious to see what he is up to
  19. RosenkrantzGM In the Librarium, the young Ecclesiarch is surrounded by Household Guard, that is until Lord Wilhelm arrives holding a large tome under his arm.
  20. Neue-Ziel is in his office in the engine room.
  21. RosenkrantzGM Wilhelm: "Mr. Berhart, there you are..." he sets the heavy book down.
  22. Varenus_Grandier finds Neue and asks "How is the ship running?"
  23. Neue-Ziel "Systems appear to be functioning properly."
  24. Caerwyn_Beraht slowly looks up, eyeing the tome before him. "graviterqus, my lord. A little light after noon reading?" He grins and cranes his neck. "Anything specific I need to focus on?"
  25. Varenus_Grandier "How have you been holding up on the ship?"
  26. RosenkrantzGM Wilhelm: "The Digesta, Lord Confessor. There are no legalities in the Calixis Sector that you will not find in here. But this, you will use as a reference when reviewing the more important of the documents..." he looks up and calls out to the approaching Lord Heinrich, "Uncle, perfect timing. I was just explaining to our talented young Confessor that he will do us a great service to review the Terms of our Warrant and contrast them with the Emporia."
  27. Makh_Chomun "I'll leave it to you three of you to decide who shall accompany me this time, let's make it interesting, yeah?" He continues laughing as he makes his way back to the bridge.
  28. Neue-Ziel "Aside from nearly jettisoned out the airlock by Lord-Captain Wilhelm, my journey aboard this holy vessel has been satisfactory."
  29. RosenkrantzGM Lord Heinrich holds in his arms a dark wooden box with golden trims and engravings. Inside, you gather, is the Rosenkrantz Warrant.
  30. Varenus_Grandier "What did you do before you joined the crew?" he asks inquisitively
  31. Neue-Ziel "I served aboard a few explorator fleets."
  32. Caerwyn_Beraht slides the Digesta towards him, setting the hoary old tome before him. He's postively ebuillent now, overwhelmed by feelings of pride and importance. Here for a short while and he's alraedy indispenable.
  33. Varenus_Grandier checks his nonexistent time keeper awkwardly "Well I must be going, big night tonight."
  34. Caerwyn_Beraht "These thieves will soon find that the Rosenkrantz dynasty is not to be trifled with. If there is even a hint of a legal loop hole, I'll tie it into a noose and strangle them with it."
  35. RosenkrantzGM Heinrich sets the box in front of the Lord Wilhelm, who raises his Captain's Baton up to the box, and activates a series of runes on its grip, and on the box itself, unlocking the chest and revealing the ancient Warrant.
  36. Caerwyn_Beraht smells the ancient parchment. "Sanctus autemin cartam officium tuum . Et unde!"
  37. Varenus_Grandier quickly exits the engine room and makes his way to the bridge.
  38. RosenkrantzGM Wilhelm: "Now, Mr. Berhart, let us dive into this. We have..." he checks his pocket chrono, "just under 3 hours before our guests arrive."
  39. Lucretia decides to start a speed regicide tournament among the officers to pass the time.
  40. Makh_Chomun Once Makh arrives at the bridge he paces around and makes small chat with the crew.
  41. Neue-Ziel dresses in his 'cleanest' red rode. He heads towards the Sensorium after hearing about the regicide tournament.
  42. Baine_Mort see Makh arrive on the bridge,"Seems you ready for tonight Makh."
  43. Makh_Chomun "Indeed, Mr. Mort, are you joining us?" He asks while he looks over one of the consoles.
  44. Varenus_Grandier strolls towards the two men, listening in on the conversation
  45. Baine_Mort "As far as I know I am."
  46. Caerwyn_Beraht throws the tome open, thumbing through the table of contents, the list of contributors, the acknowledgements...A wisp of a smile lingers on his face. "Of course m'lord. Let the word of law be our chevy this eve."
  47. Lucretia plays with Ziel for most of the time.
  48. RosenkrantzGM If Priest successfully runs through Digesta Emporia Calixia and the Rosenkrantz Warrant of Trade, legality of Tithe Marshal “overseeing” operation is valid only until “Compelling Imperial Interests” are interrupted as a result.
  49. RosenkrantzGM The Warrant’s Compact with the Adeptus Mechanicus is unusually thorough, with strong ties between it and the Dynasty being defined again and again due to the trust placed in the Dynasty to operate a vessel like the Praeliator Aurorae.
  50. Varenus_Grandier clears his throat "Mr Chomun, may I ask a favor?"
  51. RosenkrantzGM It is, therefore, defined as the utmost priority to aid Explorator Fleets, a priority higher than any other Terms in the Warrant which include service to the Imperium in the form of Inquisitorial investigations,
  52. RosenkrantzGM or if the Dynasty is “doing its utmost to spread the Imperial Creed to worlds beyond the Imperium” with loosely-defined “Ecclesiastical Missions” as being particularly high on the list of the Ministorum’s Compact; all of these taking precedence over the Rite of Visitation imposed by the Administratum.
  53. Makh_Chomun "Ah! Professor! What can I help you with?"
  54. RosenkrantzGM Evidence of any of these “Compelling Interests” to the Imperium could render the Rite of Visitation a request of secondary importance with it’s completion defined only as “under the good Judgment and Discretion of the holder of the Warrant, conditions of Higher Interests served permitting”,
  55. RosenkrantzGM negating any direct Administratum oversight; a Tithe Marshal being allowed to board the vessel under precisely the, “good Judgment and Discretion” specified in the text..
  56. RosenkrantzGM - Lord Wilhelm being the only Authority that may invite any Administratum official on board the Ship.
  57. Varenus_Grandier "You see, I would like to take up the art of fencing, and you seem the most capable on the ship of lending me a hand."
  58. Neue-Ziel says to Lucretia "I forgot to say how much I appreciate your efforts in helping me obtain my new cybernetics."
  59. Baine_Mort returned to roaming around the bridge as Varenus and Makh talk.
  60. Caerwyn_Beraht After a long session with the tome, Caerwyn binds it shut once more, immensely pleased with the insight he gleaned.
  61. Lucretia shakes hands with Ziel at the end of the match, a rather close one which followed the old wisdom of war being a contest to see which side comits the least mistakes. "Just doing my job and helping out. Good game, by the way."
  62. RosenkrantzGM Wilhelm looks visibly drained from all the cross-referencing, happy to have the aid of the young priest.
  63. Makh_Chomun "Fencing? Varenus, I don't really fence, I'm more of a....hands on man." He grins. "I believe ven Dreiger has fenced plenty in his youth, if he's to be believed. I could arrange for him to drill you on the basics for now, if you want?"
  64. Neue-Ziel "Thank you."
  65. Neue-Ziel "You did well. We should have another match soon."
  66. Varenus_Grandier smiles "Excellent, I am just worried that my lack training in the art of combat will come to haunt me in the future. I would be horrified to die and leave you without a experience navigator in the dangers of space and warp."
  67. Lucretia "I hope they work to your liking. And I wouldn't mind that at all. So! Shall we head to the bridge?"
  68. Neue-Ziel "Indeed."
  69. RosenkrantzGM Wilhelm gives a long deep sigh. "Well, Mr. Berhart... that will have to do. We have a dinner to get to. I appreciate your help, and look forward to making our case over dinner."
  70. RosenkrantzGM The Lord-Captain rises, carefully places the Rosenkrantz Warrant back inside the ornate chest, and hands it to Lord Heinrich. Satisfied with the Warrant's safety, he exits the Librarium.
  71. Makh_Chomun looks him up and down, and then smiles. "I think you might want to work on your aim then, with your build you'd be safer shooting at the enemy than blade to blade."
  72. Caerwyn_Beraht "With any luck, they might be more inclined to commiserate with our cause. At the very worst they'll offer their blandishments, preganant with double meaning, and leave us to our machinations." Caerwyn scracthes his chin before rising with his lord captain and accompanying him as he leaves, spouting some rigamarole about the blessings that shall be requierd to properly facilitate the
  73. Caerwyn_Beraht dinner.
  74. Lucretia arrives soon after at the bridge, probably with Ziel and Bolton in tow. "What's this talk about blades and shooting?"
  75. Varenus_Grandier "I wish to expand my knowledge on the art of combat, especially bladework."
  76. Varenus_Grandier "Maybe I am dreaming of becoming a swashbuckler, ranged weapons might suit me better." he chuckles a bit
  77. Lucretia "Probably. But if you'd like to pick it up as a hobby, I could give you a few pointers."
  78. Lucretia grins. "I personally preffer a good gun."
  79. Varenus_Grandier smiles "I'd like that."
  80. Baine_Mort walks back over to where Makh, Varenus, and Lucretia are.
  81. Lucretia "I'll see what I can do for you, then."
  82. Lucretia then turns towards Baine. "Hello, there."
  83. Baine_Mort "Hello Lucretia, good to see you."
  84. Lucretia puts her hands on her hips. "Nice to see you, too. Everyone ready for what I'm sure will be a most entertaining diner?"
  85. Makh_Chomun "Our Navigator fancies himself a swordsmen, so he wants to learn how to fence." Makh shrugs, "if anything it'll be good practice for yourself, Professor Triclops."
  86. Baine_Mort "If its anything like the last dinner we had, I'm sure it should go just as well."
  87. Makh_Chomun "So long as I don't have to duel anyone this time." He chuckles at that.
  88. Lucretia "Hey, I'd rather be the one fighting if it happens this time."
  89. Makh_Chomun "Why dear sister, I could never allow that! Your hands must never be sullied in such barbaric matters." He gives her a mock curtsy.
  90. Varenus_Grandier "I'd rather this all go smoothly, this face is far too attractive for scars."
  91. Lucretia sighs. "Riiight... truly a shame. Some sparring with my good brother would have been fun."
  92. RosenkrantzGM Your guests arrive, and various junior aides race across the ship to find you and inform you of their arrival.
  93. Caerwyn_Beraht does last minute preparations, making sure his robes are immaculate and his censer is primed and filled. HIs bodyguard, Tao Xen, is garbed in her dress armor. She shadows him as he mvoes towards the location of the dinner, a staff-wielding guarding angel as obdurate as stone.
  94. Makh_Chomun is waiting by the entrance, overlooking all entering guests as he waits for one of his subordinates to arrive.
  95. RosenkrantzGM Outside the chamber, patiently waiting are Captain Bolton and Lieutenant Downfield, both sharply dressed, they make conversation among themselves in the meantime.
  96. Varenus_Grandier is standing near lucretia, conversing quietly
  97. Lucretia speaks with Varenus on the way to the room, seems they were getting along well.
  98. Makh_Chomun notices Downfield and Bolton and approaches them both. "Both of you look spectacular!" He says with a low-whistle.
  99. RosenkrantzGM Bolton: "Thank you, Master Chomun. You are looking rather sharp yourself."
  100. Lucrezia grins as he spots the three of them. "Good to see I wasn't the only one who prettied up. At least I don't have to wear a stupid dress."
  101. RosenkrantzGM Downfield: "Thank you... sir," she replies with some hesitation.
  102. Makh_Chomun Makh just notices the dress. "My oh my, did those two make you wear that?" He asks with a sly grin.
  103. RosenkrantzGM Downfield: "I'm afraid they did, sir" she nods.
  104. Lucrezia looks at Downfield. "Didn't think you were the dress wearing type."
  105. RosenkrantzGM Downfield: "I'm certainly not, my Lady."
  106. Varenus_Grandier "Well if you don't mind me saying, you look nice."
  107. Caerwyn_Beraht turns a corner, his shadow trailing behind. He smiles as sees the gathering crowd. "Don't be silly, the flower of woman's beauty can only be purely expressed by a properly made dress."
  108. Caerwyn_Beraht eyes Lucrezia up and down. "Lady Lucrezia, Et splendidis respiceriun. Pudica , etiaris."
  109. RosenkrantzGM Downfield: "Yes, Lord Confessor," she replies, her face flushing slightly red.
  110. Lucrezia "For what it's worth, you look nice." She then turns towards the approaching Caerwyn. "Surprised you said that, considering your comment on a woman's beauty."
  111. Neue-Ziel reads "Passions in Battle 2".
  112. Caerwyn_Beraht digs out his censer and begins to swing it on a pivot, the smell of roses emnanting from it in thick coils of smoke.
  113. Baine_Mort stands with his back to the wall, waiting to enter the room.
  114. Makh_Chomun "To think I would live to see my leftenant blush like a maiden!" Makh makes a mental note to take his other two subordinates out for expensive alcohol later.
  115. RosenkrantzGM From down the hall, you can hear the voices of Lords Wilhelm and Heinrich, and the trailing footsteps of what is no-doubt the bodyguard as they all approach.
  116. Neue-Ziel starts coughing from the smell.
  117. RosenkrantzGM Wilhelm: "...Emperor willing, Uncle. The boy has talent, and I'm sure he won't disappoint."
  118. Lucrezia then focuses on Bolton. "You also look rather nice, by the way. Sorry for dragging you into this but I need the company." She then turns towards the approaching Lords, smiling politely.
  119. RosenkrantzGM Heinrich: "Do I sense a glimmer of hope? Wilhelm appreciating the company of a man of the cloth?" his laughter echoes in the halls
  120. Caerwyn_Beraht shrugs, a little red. He too perks up and spins to face his lord, smiling.
  121. RosenkrantzGM Downfield approaches Makh, and stands close to him, you notice the commbead in her ear. "Arbitrators from the port are on-board the ship. They insist on being given clearance to provide security for the Administratum officials."
  122. Makh_Chomun "Inform them they may have a small escort, not larger than ten, if they don't like it, our armsmen will do it for them."
  123. Makh_Chomun "Ah, also make sure we provide an escort of our own, much larger than theres, for obvious reasons." He gives her his usual predator's grin.
  124. RosenkrantzGM Downfield: "Of course" she separates from the group, and speaks into her commbead. After a few seconds, she turns back to the ship's Master-at-Arms, and gives a nod.
  125. Caerwyn_Beraht begins to chant, quietly, rising in energy and tempo as he paces back and forth. "Imperator, Benedictis haec. Imperator, Benedictis haec. Imperator, Benedictis haec..."
  126. Makh_Chomun nods back.
  127. RosenkrantzGM Wilhelm: "What a good-looking crew I have, don't you think Uncle?"
  128. RosenkrantzGM Heinrich: "Come, let us find our seats."
  129. Neue-Ziel [Techna-lingua] "Good looking?"
  130. Baine_Mort salutes to Wilhelm.
  131. RosenkrantzGM At that, the double doors in front of you open up, and the bright light of the finely decorated interior fills the hall around you.
  132. RosenkrantzGM Wilhelm: "Ladies, Gentlemen... please, follow me in."
  133. Caerwyn_Beraht dips into a bow, letting his lords move past him first.
  134. Makh_Chomun follows the procession in, keeping to the back of the group.
  135. Baine_Mort follows Wilhelm.
  136. Lucrezia salutes before following the Lord Captain into the hall. "Someone wants to impress."
  137. Neue-Ziel bows to the Lord-Captain then finds a seat.
  138. Varenus_Grandier follows behind everyone else
  139. RosenkrantzGM Wilhelm finds his seat on one end of the table, and stands behind his seat.
  140. RosenkrantzGM Heinrich stands to his right.
  141. Baine_Mort finds a seat next to Ziel.
  142. Varenus_Grandier takes the seat a chair down from the left of Wilhelm.
  143. Caerwyn_Beraht files in last with his bodyguard, cantillating all the way. He takes out his vial of holy water and begins to splash the tables, the seats, and even some of the crew members. "Imperator, nos in viam justorumian. Imperator, nos in viam justorumian. Imperator, Imperator, nos in viam justorumian. Dirige nos! Dirige nos! Dirige nos animae peritium!"
  144. Neue-Ziel says to Beraht [Rogue Cant] "Can you take this seriously for one second?"
  145. Caerwyn_Beraht Tao Xen moves behind Caerwyn, each step a whisper. Most of you haven't heard her utter a word since her time being here. She takes a position near the wall.
  146. Varenus_Grandier shakes the water off his robes "Thank you, I feel very blessed."
  147. Caerwyn_Beraht "How DARE you? Do you think I invoke the name of the God-Emperor in jest? Be silent, you court heresy with your words."
  148. Lucrezia sits at Downfield's side and opposite of Mort, with Bolton at her other side.
  149. Caerwyn_Beraht does a final circuit around the table, cantillating. He stops to place some holy water on Lucrezia's forhead before finally settling into his seat.
  150. Neue-Ziel [Rogue Cant] "then enough with the water, Priest boy."
  151. Baine_Mort "Calm down boy." Baine says to Caerwyn.
  152. Varenus_Grandier mutters "Keep it in your pants."
  153. Lucrezia smiles and nods politely at Caerwyn's blessing. "Thank you."
  154. Makh_Chomun "Let the man do his, work, he is our brother after all." Makh says while entwining his fingers on his lap.
  155. RosenkrantzGM Wilhelm: "Let them in."
  156. RosenkrantzGM From the other side of the chamber, doors open, and a man in ornate Imperial robes walks in, he is followed by a man in what appears to be military dress uniform - high ranking, by its looks. After they enter the room, a squad of Arbitrators walks in. They stand behind them once they find their seats.
  157. Caerwyn_Beraht prays to himself silently. He's sweating, thumbing his aquila nervously.
  158. RosenkrantzGM Wilhelm: "Welcome Mr. Kerhoff, Marshal Marbay. Please, everyone have a seat."
  159. Lucrezia looks at the two men leading the group, studying them.
  160. RosenkrantzGM The two men sit across the table from Lucrezia and Bolton.
  161. Lucrezia nods at them politely as they sit. "Happy to make your acquaintance, gentlemen."
  162. RosenkrantzGM Kerhoff: "My pleasure," the older man says.
  163. RosenkrantzGM His companion, however, only gives you a nod.
  164. Varenus_Grandier nods respectfully to the men
  165. Makh_Chomun Makh gives them both a smile and a nod and has a seat.
  166. RosenkrantzGM Servants flood the room, pouring drinks into your ornate glasses.
  167. Baine_Mort smiles and nods to the two men sitting to his left.
  168. RosenkrantzGM Wilhelm: "Theosophist's Philtre, ladies and gentlemen. A fine drink, from Sophen, no less" he raises his glass.
  169. Varenus_Grandier raises his glass in response
  170. Caerwyn_Beraht takes the glass, sprinkles a little holy water around the rim, and raises it in a toast.
  171. Makh_Chomun Makh raises his glass.
  172. Lucrezia raises her glass.
  173. Baine_Mort takes his glass and raises it.
  174. Neue-Ziel raises his glass and says "Deus Mechanicus' blessing."
  175. RosenkrantzGM Your 'guests' raise theirs, too.
  176. RosenkrantzGM Wilhelm: "To a fruitful conversation! And to He on Terra!"
  177. Caerwyn_Beraht "Salubri fides et aeternium!"
  178. Varenus_Grandier "Here here."
  179. Makh_Chomun "Ave Imperator! Ave Rosenkrantz"
  180. RosenkrantzGM With that, he takes a drink; Heinrich does the same.
  181. Lucrezia whispers to herself, adding. "And to a peaceful dinner." She then takes a small sip.
  182. Varenus_Grandier doesn't drink
  183. RosenkrantzGM Bolton doesn't waste a second, drinking half his cup after a quick nod of acknowledgment.
  184. Caerwyn_Beraht takes a swig, lightly setting it down afterward. He rearranges his utensils, making sure everything is in order.
  185. Makh_Chomun Makh follows suit, downing the entire glass in one go.
  186. Neue-Ziel takes a sip.
  187. Baine_Mort takes a drink from his glass, only drinking about a third of it.
  188. RosenkrantzGM The first course of the meal is brought in. Wilhelm has spared no expense, despite his Uncle's warning on the futility of Wilhelm's usual "wine and dine" habit of pre-negotiation with Administratum officials.
  189. Lucrezia slowly and politely eats, partly because of the previous months acting as a propper noblelady.
  190. RosenkrantzGM Wilhelm: "Stuffed Alois Kartoffel with Tuffin Quail. I've never had it myself, but I know it's a favorite here in Port Wander!"
  191. Baine_Mort begins eating the food that has been put out on the table.
  192. RosenkrantzGM Servants orbit the table, refilling cups.
  193. Neue-Ziel takes small bites from his meal.
  194. Caerwyn_Beraht "Sisteta devorator, instat! We haven't said grace yet! To touch your food is heresy!"
  195. Baine_Mort ignores Caerwyn.
  196. Lucrezia makes sure she doesn't drink as much as she would normally, in case she needs her senses in top condition.
  197. Caerwyn_Beraht looks like he's about to break out into a tantrum. Only the presence of guests is containing his temper.
  198. RosenkrantzGM Wilhelm: "The good Confessor is right. Let us give thanks to the Emperor."
  199. Neue-Ziel "I think the water splashing counts as saying grace."
  200. Lucrezia stops and looks at Wilhelm.
  201. Caerwyn_Beraht "...I suppose the tech-priest speaks the truth. I apologize for my behavior."
  202. RosenkrantzGM Wilhelm: "Mr. Berhart, please. Lead us in prayer."
  203. Neue-Ziel makes the sign of the Machine God.
  204. Caerwyn_Beraht folds his arms. "I shall pray in the lay tongue, so all of you can follow along." he clears his throat...
  205. Baine_Mort stops eating and looks at Wilhelm.
  206. Lucrezia follows Caerwyn's example.
  207. Varenus_Grandier follows along after Caewyn
  208. Caerwyn_Beraht "Oh God-Emperor, we thank you for this bountiful feast, for the multitude of blessings that such bounty implies. We ask you, humbly, to guide our souls away from gluttonous excess and into the radiant embrace of your immaculate perfection. Without you, even the mightiest warrant is nought but dust. Without you, all the weals and woes of our existence mean nothing. Through this prayer, we
  209. Caerwyn_Beraht reaffirm our repudiation of the dark and heretical. In the name of the Throne, Your Ascension, and Your guidance. Ave Imperator."
  210. Neue-Ziel starts praying in Techna-lingua.
  211. Makh_Chomun "Ave Imperator," Makh intones.
  212. Caerwyn_Beraht makes the sign of the aquila. "Now, my brothers, feast."
  213. Neue-Ziel "Bless this fuel, Omnissiah"
  214. Neue-Ziel starts eating.
  215. Baine_Mort returns to eating.
  216. Lucrezia "Ave Imperator." She then resumes her eating.
  217. RosenkrantzGM After the prayer, Wilhelm's dinner guests begin eating.
  218. Makh_Chomun "Would you say the dress was worth the upgrade in food, Downfield?" He asks playfully in a low voice.
  219. Neue-Ziel checks his data-slate on maintenance progress reports.
  220. RosenkrantzGM Downfield: "I don't think I've ever had a meal like this before, but if rations are the price of not having to wear... this, I am happy with the quality of food by the barracks" she replies with a smile.
  221. Caerwyn_Beraht slowly slices apart his food, taking it in one tiny portion at a time. He looks over to his lord, a little jittery, waiting for him to indicate the beginning of business talk.
  222. RosenkrantzGM Bolton: "Mr. Mort, you were formerly in the service of the Navy?"
  223. Makh_Chomun chuckles softly, "I'll take that into consideration for the future."
  224. Lucrezia "Quite a few of us seem to be ex-Navy, it seems." She comments.
  225. Baine_Mort "Yes I was at one time, but that was a while ago before I meet up with Wilhelm." Baine says to Bolton.
  226. Neue-Ziel starts reading "Passions in Battle 2" on his data-slate. He's pretending to look at reports.
  227. Neue-Ziel *the
  228. RosenkrantzGM Heinrich clears his throat, glaring at the techpriest from across the table.
  229. Caerwyn_Beraht gasps as he sees Ziel break out the data-slate. "Tech-priest," He hisses in a barely audible whisper. "Mind your manners!"
  230. Neue-Ziel puts away the data-slate.
  231. Varenus_Grandier turns to the guests " How is your meal, if you don't mind me asking?"
  232. Neue-Ziel "Checking on ship maintenance."
  233. Lucrezia "Rather good, actually."
  234. RosenkrantzGM Kerhoff: "Delicious, truly."
  235. Varenus_Grandier "I can see you are a man of ranks, do you mind sharing?"
  236. Neue-Ziel whispers to Beraht "Calm your voxhole, Priest boy."
  237. RosenkrantzGM Marbay: "If a bit lavish..."
  238. Caerwyn_Beraht "The God-Emperor does not provide what he deems unneccesssary, my good man."
  239. Lucrezia "Our good Lord Wilhelm likes our guests to be treated with the utmost hospitality."
  240. RosenkrantzGM Marbay: "Yes, indeed..."
  241. Makh_Chomun "Here, here!"
  242. RosenkrantzGM As the first course comes to its end, servants clear the table, and prepare for the second course to be served, bringing with them different bottles of amasec for the table.
  243. Lucrezia helps herself to a bit more amasec than normal.
  244. Varenus_Grandier again does not drink
  245. Neue-Ziel requests one of the servants to bring him water.
  246. Baine_Mort decides to not have any more amasec for the moment.
  247. RosenkrantzGM "In service to the Administratum, I am a Tithe Marshal. Have been so for a decade. Previously..." he pours himself a glass of the newly served amasec, "previously, I served in the Imperial Guard. But that's not a story I would wish to discuss."
  248. Makh_Chomun asks for the servant to stay near him to refill his glass for the next hour or so.
  249. Lucrezia "Ah, a fellow warrior."
  250. RosenkrantzGM Kerhoff: "In point of fact, we are here to discuss matters of a much more important nature, Lord Wilhelm," he steers the conversation.
  251. Caerwyn_Beraht takes a sip of the amasec, listening to the guests attentively. "Ah, a warrior of the God-Emperor? A thousand blessings 'pon your house and health!"
  252. Lucrezia raises her cup at the Marshal with a smile before drinking up what was left. "Ah, straight to business?"
  253. RosenkrantzGM Heinrich: "Indeed we are," he leans back on his seat, sustaining eye-contact with Kerhoff for a moment.
  254. Caerwyn_Beraht straightens himself out, adjusting his robe before sprinkling some holy water upon his hands and then his lips. "Paratus suum", he whispers.
  255. RosenkrantzGM Marbay: "I will put it as simply as I can, my Lords," he takes his napkin and wipes the corner of his mouth, slowly, before continuing.
  256. RosenkrantzGM "As a Tithe Marshal for the Calixian Administratum, I have all the authority necessary to board this vessel and ensure the Tithe collection is carried out."
  257. RosenkrantzGM Kerhoff: "Baltus..."
  258. RosenkrantzGM Marbay: "No, they must hear this," he replies.
  259. Makh_Chomun swirls the contents of his glass while giving the Marshall a long stare.
  260. RosenkrantzGM Marbay: "There is little point in having any sort of 'conversation', Lord Wilhelm."
  261. Caerwyn_Beraht "Incorrect."
  262. Caerwyn_Beraht clears his throat. "My lords, if I may?"
  263. Baine_Mort looks at Marbay
  264. Lucrezia raises her hand. "Maybe we should hear what they have to say first."
  265. RosenkrantzGM Wilhelm: "Please, Mr. Berhart" he nods.
  266. RosenkrantzGM The doors open once more, the second course ready to be served.
  267. RosenkrantzGM Wilhelm raises a hand, dismissing them.
  268. RosenkrantzGM Wilhelm leans over to one of them, "But keep the drink coming."
  269. Neue-Ziel whispers to Mort [Rogue Cant] "You think our captain will try to soften our guests with the alcohol?"
  270. Makh_Chomun raises a glass in salute to that.
  271. Baine_Mort whispers back to Ziel [Rouge Cant] "I think so, I hope it does lighten them up a bit, they seem really uptight."
  272. Lucrezia looks at Ziel. [Rogue Cant] "Maybe they know this tongue, be polite, techpriest."
  273. Caerwyn_Beraht "By the various torts, judgments, and arbitrations of the High Courts of the Calixis Sector my lord need not entertain the rite of visitation so long as there are matters that supercede the enacting of the rite. As of my embarking on this ship, there is indeed such a matter: the proselytization of the Emperor's Creed. I was taken onto this ship for the express purpose of spreading the word
  274. Caerwyn_Beraht of the God-Emperor to heathen planets. The Warrant of House Rosenkrantz specifically states, in detail, that such a mission from the Ministorum is a pressing matter and thus supercedes any action you may take as Tithe-Marshal. I am sorry, but this is the way the God-Emperor wishes things to be."
  275. Neue-Ziel [Rogue Cant] "I meant no disrespect."
  276. RosenkrantzGM Kerhoff: "Remind me, Baltus, how many Rosenkrantz vessels have been held in the port?"
  277. RosenkrantzGM Marbay: "Only one," he entertains the line of thought.
  278. Caerwyn_Beraht takes his censer and swings it a little, whisipering "Sit timorium rationem triumphauitius."
  279. RosenkrantzGM Kerhoff: "And how many penitents and pilgrims have we encountered on board this vessel?"
  280. RosenkrantzGM Marbay: "None, of course."
  281. Caerwyn_Beraht "Look around you, my good man! All you see before you can be considered penitents and pilgrims, of a sort."
  282. Neue-Ziel [Techna-lingua] "This Priest boy will be the end of me."
  283. RosenkrantzGM Kerhoff: "I see no evidence of an 'Ecclesiastical Mission' here, Lord Confessor."
  284. Caerwyn_Beraht "Praytell, Lord Kerhoff, what is an Ecclesiastical Mission if not a band of men and women who carry the God-Emperor in their heart? Their very presence brings His word to the stars."
  285. Lucrezia "Our good confessor here is on a mission to spread the word of He on Terra beyond the official borders of His Imperium. Part of why we came here, considering the situation of the Expanse."
  286. RosenkrantzGM Marbay: "What resources, Lord Wilhelm, have you put to use for this... 'mission'"?
  287. RosenkrantzGM Wilhelm: "Lady Lucrezia has in fact recently secured the services of a Chartist Captain, at no small expense, to transport penitents and pilgrims."
  288. RosenkrantzGM Heinrich shoots his nephew a look.
  289. Lucrezia subtly looks at Wihelm, trying to keep a straight face to hide her surprise.
  290. RosenkrantzGM Bolton clears his throat, and takes a large gulp of his drink, avoiding eye-contact from anyone.
  291. Lucrezia takes a full cup and downs it.
  292. Lucrezia also looks at Bolton from the corner of her eye.
  293. Caerwyn_Beraht begins to sweat even more, dew forming on his furrowed brow. He takes too fervent swig of his amasec.
  294. Caerwyn_Beraht Tao Xen, hanging in the back silently, can't help but be amused with the antics of profligates and degenerates.
  295. RosenkrantzGM Kerhoff: "Oh?" he looks at Lucrezia.
  296. Lucrezia "Uh, my good Lord, I'm currently in process of doing that. The propper paperwork sits on my desk, awaiting a few final touches."
  297. Neue-Ziel whispers to Beraht "You did decently."
  298. Varenus_Grandier tries to give lucrezia a reassuring look
  299. Lucrezia "With His favor, it should be done on the morrow."
  300. Makh_Chomun nods his head several times, while continuing to partake in the amasec.
  301. Baine_Mort thinks to himself, "Well I think we are going to be fucked soon."
  302. Caerwyn_Beraht elbows Neue-Ziel, hard, before nodding vigoursly along with Makh.
  303. RosenkrantzGM Kerhoff: "I see. You are aware, I'm sure, that I will be requiring copies of said paperwork with the utmost expediency, Lady Lucrezia?"
  304. Neue-Ziel "ow..."
  305. Lucrezia "I will gladly pay you a visit tomorrow with said papers all done and sealed. During which hours will you be available?"
  306. RosenkrantzGM Marbay: "Before we answer anything, I still see a problem with what you claim. Priest. Am I wrong in saying you claimed not to have any pilgrims beyond... those sitting at this table?"
  307. Lucrezia "I would say that's a play on words. He said that all you see are pilgrims and penitents of a sort. Not the totality of them on board."
  308. RosenkrantzGM Kerhoff: "Then I shall wish to see evidence of these preparations, too, before I release the hold from the Port Authority."
  309. Caerwyn_Beraht "Lady Lucrezia speaks correctly. Every soul onboard is a pilgrim, a penitent, a questing soul seeking a better understanding of the God-Emperor."
  310. Lucrezia "What preparations? Do you mean that matters of faith are simple bureaucratic nonsense to you?"
  311. Lucrezia "Some people would take offense to that... Our confessor included."
  312. Caerwyn_Beraht nods, solemnly.
  313. RosenkrantzGM Marbay rises from his seat.
  314. Lucrezia tries to rise slowly as well.
  315. RosenkrantzGM "Do not think yourselves too important, gentlemen. In Imperial Space, you will be made to bend to rules and laws. This is the trouble with you Rogue Traders... Mr. Kerhoff, let us go."
  316. Makh_Chomun "Emperor be with you, gents~" Makh coos, raising a glass from his seat.
  317. RosenkrantzGM Kerhoff rises, too, "Without the clearances I have demanded, you will not be permitted to undock, remember this."
  318. RosenkrantzGM With that, they both exit, followed by their Arbitrator escort.
  319. Caerwyn_Beraht "It was a pleasure receiving you, gentlemen," Caerwyn says with a cold stare. "Tutus iterium."
  320. Baine_Mort "That went well, so whats plan b?"
  321. Lucrezia just looks at them, her face emotionless for now. Once they leave, she stares at Wilhelm. "My Lord, with all due respect... What in the Throne's name were you thinking?!"
  322. Caerwyn_Beraht leans back into his chair and pours the pent up tension in his lungs, wiping the sweat from his brow. Tao Xen snickers.
  323. Makh_Chomun "I dunno, but he's sure making it interesting."
  324. Caerwyn_Beraht "I..I thought I had this. How could this happen?"
  325. RosenkrantzGM Wilhelm: "Buying us time. Do what you must to acquire a Chartist vessel. Mr. Berhart, round up zealots from the port. The Solstice Imperialis is in no short supply."
  326. Lucrezia stares daggers into Makh. "Who do you think will have to do all the rushed legwork to even TRY pulling this off?! It sure ain't you."
  327. Varenus_Grandier "Think positive everyone, I'm sure we will figure something out."
  328. Lucrezia "Why couldn't we just accept their demands?"
  329. RosenkrantzGM Wilhelm: "Because, my Lady..." he rings a bell on the table, and a servant comes out to the table.
  330. RosenkrantzGM Wilhelm: "Get me Ensign Ridhert. Quickly."
  331. Makh_Chomun simply shrugs. "I'll help however I can."
  332. Caerwyn_Beraht grins. Looks like he has a chance to redeem himself. "The fires of zealotry shall burn like Sol itself tonight. And the faithful shall come. Sicurius praedixit Interlocutus."
  333. RosenkrantzGM A young ensign enters, holding charts.
  334. RosenkrantzGM He places them in front of Wilhelm.
  335. Neue-Ziel "The Adeptus Mechanicus wouldn't enjoy having an Miinistorum officer on board a holy vessel, overseeing our operating."
  336. Lucrezia sighs and steps off. "Don't wait for me tonight! Gotta get you your damn pilgrim vessel!"
  337. RosenkrantzGM Wilhelm: "Mr. Grandier, come by my side, if you please."
  338. Varenus_Grandier stands and makes his way to Wilhelm's side
  339. RosenkrantzGM The charts have been manually and roughly modified.
  340. Baine_Mort whispers to Ziel, "What if this plan doesn't work?"
  341. Neue-Ziel "We have another pest on the ship."
  342. RosenkrantzGM Wilhelm: "There is a system. Uncharted" he looks up to the navigator, "I found these records on the Librarium."
  343. Makh_Chomun +My offer of help is open, if you need it, dear sister.+ Makh says over the vox to Lucrezia.
  344. RosenkrantzGM Wilhelm: "They are old charts... Angevin Crusade, at least. Here are the new charts I purchased, so you may cross reference. Can you take us there?"
  345. Varenus_Grandier "I very much can, Emperor willing."
  346. Lucrezia +"I think I can make it on my own. Just frustrated at our Lord's foolish wager. I'll need priest boy, though. That ship will need people to fill it."+
  347. Baine_Mort "My Lord, how do you plan to reach that system while our ship is still stuck here?"
  348. RosenkrantzGM "I trust Lady Lucrezia and young Berhart to do what is necessary."
  349. Makh_Chomun +Don't you worry, he's on that with a righteous priest.+
  350. Baine_Mort "I hope you are right my Lord."
  351. Neue-Ziel heads back to his office to continue his work.
  352. RosenkrantzGM Successfully putting together an impromptu Ecclesiastical Mission, the Administratum officials finally withdraw their demands. The Port Authority grants you undocking permission.
  353. RosenkrantzGM The ship enters warp travel after a mall cruise in realspace. When you finally exit the Warp, you find yourselves on the other side of the Maw - WELCOME TO THE KORONUS EXPANSE
  354. Makh_Chomun "Ahhhhhhh, now this, this is what I've been waiting for!"
  355. RosenkrantzGM Wilhelm: "Hail the Pilgrim vessel. Dismiss them from our service."
  356. Baine_Mort "It is good to be under way again my lord." Baine has his newly acquired power sword attached to his belt.
  357. Caerwyn_Beraht "And leave them to their devices? The disciples of His word are mighty, but I fear we are throwing them to the wolves."
  358. Lucrezia sighs and sinks into her seat. "All that effort and tricks... gone..." She sadly mourns into her cup.
  359. Lucrezia speaks up. "Why would you dismiss them?"
  360. RosenkrantzGM Wilhelm: "With respect, Lord Confessor, none can know where we are going. The Emperor protects." he makes the sign of the Aquila.
  361. Caerwyn_Beraht "The Emperor protects," Caerwyn says without heart.
  362. Lucrezia frowns. "As much as I hate to admit it, it might be a mercy to send them back to Wander... maybe escort them to Damaris? If it is in the route?"
  363. Lucrezia "I hate the idea of offering them a pilgrimage just to betray the thrust of 30 thousand or so faithful, my Lord. Not to mention our bureaucrat friends when they find out."
  364. Neue-Ziel recovers in the medical deck after various implants.
  365. Caerwyn_Beraht "It may leave a trail that leads right back to us."
  366. Lucrezia looks at Caerwyn. "I thought you'd care about the men who might be considered in part to be your flock?"
  367. RosenkrantzGM Heinrich: "The Administratum's influence is only secondary to Wilhelm's in the Expanse."
  368. Caerwyn_Beraht rubs his aquila, praying silently to himself. "I do," He says, quite severe. "But what am I to do? My expostulations are finding no purchase, it seems."
  369. Caerwyn_Beraht "I am forced to leave the faithful to fend for themselves. May the God-Emperor find it in himself to offer me forgiveness, and perhaps a chance at martyrdom."
  370. Lucrezia "But what when we return, Lord Heinrich? Members of the Adepta are slow to forget and slower to forgive."
  371. RosenkrantzGM Heinrich: "By then their mission will have been fulfilled by another Captain, surely."
  372. RosenkrantzGM Wilhelm: "Lady Lucrezia has a point."
  373. Makh_Chomun is drumming his fingers on one of the consoles nearby, as he listens.
  374. RosenkrantzGM Wilhelm: "I cannot afford to escort them, though they are exposed to pirate attack, or worse. Lady Lucrezia, you have mercenaries under your employ, is that right?"
  375. Lucrezia nods once. "Yes, my Lord. What do you wish of them?"
  376. Caerwyn_Beraht "I cannot believe that possiblity of leaving the faithful to die is not reason enough," He mutters. "Cupiditastist damnat omnes homines."
  377. RosenkrantzGM Wilhelm: "Have them board the vessel, provide for their security. If nothing else, they will be able to defend against boarding."
  378. RosenkrantzGM "Either that, or the vessel comes with us... though their bridge crew will have to be executed upon arrival," he shrugs.
  379. RosenkrantzGM Wilhelm: "This includes their navigators..."
  380. Lucrezia regrets this particular part of the outcome but lowers her head in acceptance. "Could I try and keep 2 or 3 squads on board of the Aurorae, my Lord? The rest can escort the vessel."
  381. Makh_Chomun "The Pilgrims could be used....where exactly are we going, m'lords?"
  382. RosenkrantzGM Wilhelm: "Of course, Lady Lucrezia. That will be your choice to make."
  383. Lucrezia kneels down. "Thanks for your comprehension, my Lord."
  384. RosenkrantzGM Wilhelm stands, and approaches Chomun. "To a world..." he places his hand on Makh's shoulder, "uncharted... unkown to the Imperium! Exciting, no?" he says with a wide smile.
  385. Lucrezia then stands up. "I shall get to do the needed preparations immediately. Unless I'm needed here?"
  386. RosenkrantzGM Heinrich gives Lucrezia a nod.
  387. Makh_Chomun Makh grins, "Very exciting, my lord."
  388. RosenkrantzGM Wilhelm: "Ah, yes, Lady Lucrezia, please do see to this matter."
  389. Lucrezia heads off to discuss things with Bolton, hopefully he'll agree to the negotiated terms. And hopefully they'll be picked up on the way back or return to Wander.
  390. Varenus_Grandier flawlessly travels the tides of the warp, moving them much faster than would be expected. shrinking the travel time significantly
  391. RosenkrantzGM When you exit into realspace, you are met with the blinding violet light of the local star... it is unlike any star Wilhelm's ever seen, and his face brightens up with awe.
  392. Makh_Chomun While travelling to the unknown system, Makh has the newly acquired flamers distributed to the armsmen at the squad-level. He makes sure all armsmen equipped with them are trained appropriately.
  393. RosenkrantzGM "Incredible..." he says to himself.
  394. RosenkrantzGM He rises from his command throne.
  395. Makh_Chomun "Quite a color to it." Makh comments off-handedly.
  396. Varenus_Grandier +Quite a quick trip.+
  397. RosenkrantzGM He activates a rune on the throne, +You've done it, Varenus! By the Emperor you've done it!+
  398. Lucrezia looks at it. "So a big burning ball? That's what we came here for?"
  399. Baine_Mort "That is an interesting star."
  400. Lucrezia "Well, a pretty big, burning, ball."
  401. Makh_Chomun "There's usually things around big burning balls, dear sister."
  402. Lucrezia "Haha. You're a funny guy. I'm sure yours are an exception to that."
  403. Neue-Ziel monitors the augur system on a nearby console.
  404. Makh_Chomun Roars in laughter at that.
  405. Caerwyn_Beraht "Quidix pulchrum. Such a sight reminds me how humble I am compared to the incandescent power of nature."
  406. Lucrezia walks up to Makh. "What do you think are the odds we run into trouble here?"
  407. Caerwyn_Beraht stares at Lucrezia and Makh, gawking. "What manner of planet could survive so close to such a mighty furnace? Only the most distant heavenly bodies could hope to escape unscathed."
  408. Lucrezia "Maybe we'll find one of the lucky ones, Caerwyn."
  409. Makh_Chomun "My Lord-Captain is not the type to have us running in circles, there's something here. We've just arrived, so give the crew time to find what's here." Makh looks towawrds Caerwyn, "have a little faith, brother."
  410. RosenkrantzGM Slowly, the data starts coming in... the star is an anomaly, it doesn't fit into any single classification of stars. The Inner Cauldron is home to the orbits of two rocky planets.
  411. Caerwyn_Beraht smirks. Faith. Right.
  412. RosenkrantzGM The primary biosphere, then reveals an asteroid belt, a dust cloud...
  413. Lucrezia whispers to herself as she continues to watch. "I have a bad feeling about this.."
  414. Makh_Chomun looks back towards to Lucrezia. "Odds? Hah! We'll run into it soon enough, just give it time. But it'll be fun."
  415. Varenus_Grandier enters the bridge and walks to Wilhelm
  416. Neue-Ziel transmits the information on the scans on the main screens.
  417. RosenkrantzGM and then, it finally comes in. A planet with readings of a vast planet. A gravitational pull of 1.4 Gs. And... an atmosphere.
  418. RosenkrantzGM Before any more data comes in, however, the ship begins receiving a signal...
  419. Makh_Chomun "There you are Caerwyn! Faith's reward dear brother!"
  420. Neue-Ziel "Ladies, Gentleman, and boy, I have news."
  421. RosenkrantzGM Wilhelm: "Impossible..."
  422. Lucrezia curses under her breath. "Shall we see what that signal is?"
  423. Baine_Mort "What have you found Ziel 2.0."
  424. Caerwyn_Beraht "Guard thy minds before making any decisions. Who knows what godless thing is on the other side of the signal..."
  425. Lucrezia "I agree with you on that."
  426. Neue-Ziel "This planet is transmitting a signal sign. Possibility from a long forgotten station."
  427. Lucrezia "Sounds like we have a destination now, then..."
  428. Makh_Chomun "Sounds like we should investigate it."
  429. RosenkrantzGM Heinrich: "It really is here..."
  430. Lucrezia can't help but grin at her sharing a thought with Makh. She then turns towards Heinrich. "What are we here for, my Lords?"
  431. Makh_Chomun folds his arms as he watches the lines of data dance across the bridge-screens.
  432. Baine_Mort "My guess, something really old that has been left there."
  433. RosenkrantzGM Heinrich: "Infinite opportunity... the Dynasty has guarded this secret for hundreds of years. A small Explorator scouting squadron was lost here, the charts gone with them. The remnants of their vessels are likely still here."
  434. Lucrezia "Lost to what, I wonder?"
  435. Makh_Chomun "I'm sure our metal friends would love to hear about anything we recover."
  436. RosenkrantzGM Wilhelm: "They must not know. No one must know."
  437. Lucrezia "The fighting men and machines of the mechanicus are tough adversaries."
  438. Lucrezia "Why not?"
  439. Makh_Chomun "My lord will that be possible?" Makh looks around, "given present company and the ship's history?"
  440. Neue-Ziel "This will displease the Adeptus Mechanicus."
  441. Lucrezia "He has a point."
  442. RosenkrantzGM Wilhelm: "Mr. Grandier... you have brought us here with masterful skill. Please, prepare for new navigation charts to be made... and of course, do us the honor of naming the star."
  443. Caerwyn_Beraht grumbles, thumbing his aquilla. Skullduggery is unbenefiting of a man of the cloth. "This can only end in disasster, methinks."
  444. Baine_Mort "Don't be so negative boy, who knows what riches await us out there." Baine says to Caerwyn.
  445. Lucrezia approaches Caerwyn. "Hey, we are trying to make this as right as we can."
  446. Varenus_Grandier "I think the priest should name it."
  447. Varenus_Grandier bows and begins preparations for charts to be made
  448. RosenkrantzGM Wilhelm: "Lord Heinrich, prepare parchment. Lord Confessor, be my witness before the God-Emperor; and honor me with your signature as my First Witness."
  449. RosenkrantzGM Dynastic servants enter the room preparing for the declaration.
  450. Caerwyn_Beraht thinks for a moment, eyeing Lucrezia before turning to the Navigator. "Truly, you want me to have the honor?"
  451. RosenkrantzGM A new claim like this comes once every a hundred or so years. There is a measure of ceremony to this, as the parchment is prepared and taken to the Lord-Captain.
  452. Neue-Ziel "If we hide any arceotech from the Mechanicus, they will deem all of us as heretics and will take this holy relic by any means."
  453. Baine_Mort "That's only if they find out about it."
  454. Varenus_Grandier "I wish for no claims to fame, I will be happier knowing a servant of the Emperor has named it."
  455. RosenkrantzGM Wilhelm: "I, Wilhelm Friedrich Johannes von Rosenkrantz. Holder of the Rosenkrantz Warrant of Trade, do hereby claim this system and all that is in it, for House Rosenkrantz, and the God-Emperor on Holy Terra. I call as my First Witness, Lord Confessor Caerwyn Berahrt, primary signatory of this claim."
  456. Neue-Ziel "You are in a holy vessel of Mars full of tech-priests."
  457. Lucrezia "They'll get their cut. Just not the location."
  458. RosenkrantzGM A quill is prepared for the priest.
  459. Neue-Ziel "That's acceptable."
  460. Lucrezia "We can say we found it on a derelict somewhere?"
  461. Caerwyn_Beraht nods. "I, Lord Confessor Caerwyn Beraht, Son of Geraint Beraht, Humble servant of the Emperor, accept the honor of bestowing the star of this new realm its appellation. Let it be known, before all present the God-Emperor, that this heavenly body shalt be called Gillam."
  462. Lucrezia stops for a moment as she hears the name, giving Caerwyn a quick and curious look, followed by a subtle smile and nod.
  463. RosenkrantzGM Wilhelm: "As Second Witness to this claim, and in honoring the priesthood of Mars, I call Enginseer-Prime to be signatory to the claim, and to do us the honor of naming the two inner-cauldron planets found herein."
  464. Varenus_Grandier whispers to Lucrezia "Better do something quick, he named a star after you."
  465. Lucrezia grins at his words. "A lady does not show her favor openly, my Navigator friend."
  466. Caerwyn_Beraht turns to the whispering pair, and winks. Cheeky.
  467. Neue-Ziel "I, Enginseer Prime Neue-Ziel of the holy vessel Praeliator Aurorae accept this claim under priesthood of Mars. I name the first orbiting body 'Pres Prime' and the second 'Bilhes'."
  468. Makh_Chomun continues to observe the ceremony, never before witnessing such a thing.
  469. Varenus_Grandier whispers to Lucrezia "Just make sure he doesn't do anything stupid."
  470. Baine_Mort watches the ceremony.
  471. Lucrezia whispers back before smiling at the priest. "What do you mean by that, Varenus?"
  472. Varenus_Grandier winks and walks away
  473. RosenkrantzGM Wilhelm: "As Third and Final Witness, in honor of those Houses who have served the Dynasty for so many centuries, I call Lady Lucrezia Isabelle Gillam to be signatory to this claim, and to name the Primary Biosphere planet, a place which harbors life despite the darkness that surrounds it. A beacon of hope and rebirth for the Rosenkrantz Dynasty."
  474. Lucrezia approaches the main viewport and sits, watching her star in all it's glory.
  475. Lucrezia then turns around and looks at Wilhelm after being called."I'm honored, my Lord." She then walks up to the group. "I, Lucrezia Isabelle, last scion of the house of Gillam, hereby name this planet Faith, may it serve as a guide to all men in the darkness of the void and cold of the Immaterium."
  476. Caerwyn_Beraht looks over to Lucrezia, and nods in approval.
  477. Neue-Ziel "The name is fitting."
  478. Makh_Chomun gives Lucrezia a short applause.
  479. Baine_Mort "I would agree."
  480. RosenkrantzGM Wilhelm now takes a step forward, and reaches for a quill. He takes it into his hand, and signs his name, and presses the Rosenkrantz seal next to it, formalizing the Claim on the Gillam System.
  481. Lucrezia smiles at the attention, even blushing faintly as she lowers her head in thanks. "I'm flattered, gentlemen, I really am."
  482. RosenkrantzGM Wilhelm: "The Gillam name shall live on forever, Lady Lucrezia. Despite your enemies' best efforts."
  483. Caerwyn_Beraht "Hear hear!"
  484. Makh_Chomun "Well done." Makh gives a big grin to that.
  485. Lucrezia "And for that, Lord Wilhelm, you have my deepest thanks."
  486. Neue-Ziel shows off the subskin armor implants of his left arm and says "Thank you, Lucrezia. I feel closer to the machine spirit."
  487. Lucrezia "And of course, so do you, Caerwyn. For you decided the name."
  488. RosenkrantzGM Wilhelm: "Lady Lucrezia, the bridge is yours."
  489. RosenkrantzGM Wilhelm rises and walks to the view ports, he'd rather be a spectator to this, taking the experience in.
  490. RosenkrantzGM Heinrich walks with him.
  491. Makh_Chomun "Shall I summon some Amasec, Lord-Captain?"
  492. Baine_Mort returns to his post.
  493. Lucrezia "Wow... it's been so long since I commanded a vessel. Helm! Set course towards Faith, full speed ahead. Keep the auspexes running for any anomalies."
  494. Lucrezia then turns towards Ziel. "You are welcome once more, friend. Even if I'm just trying to help as much as I can."
  495. RosenkrantzGM Wilhelm: "Aye, Mr. Chomun. If anything calls for celebration, it this."
  496. Neue-Ziel bows and leaves to his office.
  497. RosenkrantzGM "Aye, Captain!"
  498. RosenkrantzGM The course is altered, and you slowly approach Faith.
  499. Makh_Chomun "Bring one of the Lord-Captain's better stock, this is a momentous occasion!"
  500. RosenkrantzGM "Yes, Master Chomun!"
  501. RosenkrantzGM "Captain, scans reveal a single moon orbiting Faith!"
  502. Lucrezia "Slow our approach. Let's see what the scans can tell us about it."
  503. RosenkrantzGM Heinrich: "Remarkable..."
  504. Caerwyn_Beraht takes up Lucrezia's flank, staring out ahead at the void. "Ite, et suprac."
  505. RosenkrantzGM "The moon shows no atmospheric readings. Radioactivity scans suggest small concentrated mineral deposits."
  506. Lucrezia "We should give it a name as well... "
  507. RosenkrantzGM Wilhelm: "Agreed. Mr. Chomun?"
  508. Lucrezia "Mister Chomun, how would you feel about naming it?"
  509. Makh_Chomun "Sure! Why not?"
  510. Caerwyn_Beraht "Oh boy..."
  511. Makh_Chomun approaches one of the front ports and stares at the moon, a finger under his chin in thought.
  512. Lucrezia "By the way, Lord Heinrich, I'll need a word with you in private at some point." She says before standing near Caerwyn.
  513. RosenkrantzGM Heinrich: "Of course," he turns his head toward Lucrezia, and nods.
  514. Makh_Chomun "Talya."
  515. Makh_Chomun "I'll call it Talya."
  516. RosenkrantzGM Wilhelm: "Sweetheart of yours?" he teases
  517. Makh_Chomun smiles sadly. "It's the least I could do..."
  518. Makh_Chomun "Once."
  519. Lucrezia looks at Makh, surprised. "That's... rather touching..."
  520. RosenkrantzGM Wilhelm nods in deep understanding.
  521. Lucrezia "Didn't knew you had it in you."
  522. Makh_Chomun "She brought me from the brink of insanity before you found me, m'lord. I don't believe I've ever shared that story."
  523. RosenkrantzGM Wilhelm: "Then it is a suitable gift to her memory, Mr. Chomun."
  524. Makh_Chomun "Aye..." He continues to stare out at the moon.
  525. RosenkrantzGM "Focusing scanners and augury on planetary surface!"
  526. Caerwyn_Beraht is actually a little touched. The smile fades from his lips as he silently prays for a soul long ago sent to the Emperor's side.
  527. Lucrezia lightly pats Caerwyn's back before refocusing on commanding. "Let's see if we can find this station."
  528. RosenkrantzGM "Atmospheric levels are moderate, composition... mostly Nitrogen, Oxygen... Carbon... My Lords, it is pure to human life."
  529. Caerwyn_Beraht 's face lights up. "Miraculous. Even I can be wrong, it seems."
  530. RosenkrantzGM "Climate is temperate, and the surface is verdant. Full of life. Two major continents, one vast ocean. My Lords, it's... beautiful."
  531. Lucrezia "I don't buy it just yet. I say we should head down there and see for ourselves."
  532. Lucrezia "Don't take me wrong, I really hope beautiful Faith is habitable. But we should be cautious."
  533. RosenkrantzGM Heinrich: "Lady Lucrezia is right," he advises.
  534. RosenkrantzGM Wilhelm: "So... any volunteers?"
  535. Baine_Mort "I wounder who or what is living down there?"
  536. Lucrezia "I'll go!"
  537. Caerwyn_Beraht raises his hand. "My oaths as Questor require me to seek whatever new knowledge may sleep beneath its surface."
  538. Makh_Chomun "I'll have to go, who else will lead our brave armsmen?"
  539. Varenus_Grandier raises his hand
  540. Lucrezia "Alright. Those that wish to acompany me. Meet me at the landers in say... 30."
  541. RosenkrantzGM "I will remain on the bridge, and provide you whatever support I can from the Aurorae," Wilhelm approaches the command throne once more.
  542. Lucrezia nods as she steps down. "Of course. And again, thank you, My Lord." With that, she rushes off to get ready.
  543. RosenkrantzGM Wilhelm: "And Mr. Chomun? I want everyone in House Colors. Banners and all."
  544. Baine_Mort "I'll go as well. I'm not one for, open areas much."
  545. Varenus_Grandier leaves and prepares to land
  546. Makh_Chomun "Of course, m'lord, it shall be done."
  547. RosenkrantzGM "And Mr. Chomun?"
  548. Makh_Chomun "Sir?"
  549. RosenkrantzGM "In case you encounter any intelligent life, take the Claim on Faith with you. Enforce it without mercy," he smiles, as he hands you the scroll.
  550. Makh_Chomun takes the scroll reverently and then salutes him with it, before exitting the bridge to gear up.
  551. Baine_Mort leaves the bridge to gear up as well.
