  1. Little basket, I do remember you. How you were cradled and clutched against my bosom, never out of my sight for more than a moment. For such a short time, but you did your job flawlessly. How you ended up down here, I’ll never know.

  3. In the storeroom, amidst the crates and barrels I found this precious gem. A basket. Ordinary in appearance. A soft hat at one end, a pillow. The bottom lined with two of Snake’s softest shirts. Still in their place after all these years. No worse for wear aside from the cobwebs. A common thing, but priceless for it’s purpose and for the memories the mere sight of it still brings. Before Snake built their first cradle, these baskets were there for them. There were two. I guess the other might still be upstairs, in use to this day. I think this was Fanar’s basket. There is no way of knowing, but I just think so.

  5. I should take it upstairs, wash the shirts and hat. See if they still held up as well as they seem. Maybe Fannah could carry it around the yard, put flowers in it or something. Maybe I could bring it to town with me on occasion. Let it carry food or supplies back and forth. It is small for a basket, but I’m sure it would work out. Just let it pretend to be a plain old ordinary basket until it’s true calling finds it again. Someday soon or far off.
