  3. i was in a bit of a haze when i did this, also new to speedrun routing, notes could be iffy.

  5. get larvitar
  6. run away from shinx
  7. get potion in acqua cave
  8. get oran berry from NPC in acqua cave
  9. get potion beside rival house
  10. get antidote on route 70 for safety (koffing or double houndours are more likely to poison at least once)
  11. beat rival
  12. get 2nd oran berry from tree on route 71
  13. get pokeballs from NPC in route 71 gate, you dont want to be spending money that early
  14. catch marill with huge power
  15. put oran berry on marill
  16. fight picnicker
  17. fight youngster wilson with 2nd oran berry
  18. you should be lv 7 or 8 by oxalis city
  19. get cyndaquil using trainer hall to grind marill
  20. heal marill before josiah (use battle hall PC)
  21. get 10 potions and rest in repels
  22. marill should be 15 by the time you get to rival 2, RNG your way through paras and double slap bagon with a 3 hit+, use other party to KO sneasel
  23. marill should be 17 or so, memorize the dark areas of the mound cave so you dont have to catch a shinx
  24. take the detour and grab the super potion before going to 2d area
  25. for the order of the palette patrollers, start with black, the order i used was black blue green yellow pink (using the drop down to blue to get on green's level to minimize walking), marill should evolve right after blue, watch out for Sing abuse
  26. after beating green, escape rope out and restock potions/repels
  27. beat yellow then pink (dropping from above floor to below to save time)
  28. spurge city
  29. buy repels/potions at spurge mart
  30. deposit everyone but azumarill and cyndaquil (hm slave)
  31. palette red
  32. get bike from heath village
  33. get nature badge
  34. take a detour get repels at spurge again: laurel does not sell repels, also enter center for flypoint if you havent done that yet
  35. USE A REPEL BEFORE ENTERING POKEONLY SECTION AT LAUREL FOREST
  36. order of things to do in laurel forest: get caterpie, get giant rock via switch, get curo shard in maze, get 2nd giant rock, return caterpie, fill river, get 3rd curo shard in charizard maze. (note: if you're running on a later build, you can just beat pikachu up and get a 3rd curo shard that way. if thats the case, get pikachu's curo shard on the way to filling up river; in older builds, this method is bugged and will pull up a glitch PC menu. could be viable for ACE? look into later)
  37. USE A REPEL AFTER LEAVING POKEONLY SECTION
  38. get charm badge
  39. the path for magikarp caverns is: right, down, left, left, left, down, down, down, left, up, up, up, down, left, down, right, down, right+down, right, left, right, left
  40. gravestones: red gray blue yellow brown teal, red before sage, gray then blue after female sage, yellow brown and teal after last sage before mansion
  41. dementia: left down left then go right and go around for fastest path
  42. for 2nd part of dream, just jump off building wall and go left and then down at trees
  43. grab the 2 super repels
  44. get midnight badge
  45. MAKE SURE YOU VISIT CENTER FOR FLYPOINT
  46. do shopping for potions/repels, focus on potions
  47. catch pidgey (for fly)
  48. dont run down on right side of path, you'll run into camper
  49. center if necessary and fight rival 3
  50. ROLLOUT IMMEDIATELY, parasect will use sleep powder if you dont
  51. use rollout immediately on palette yellow and hope no para from Tpunch
  52. order of switches in 1st 2d area: red yellow blue yellow grey yellow blue yellow
  53. order of switches in 2nd 2d area: red red red yellow brown red brown (get jumping shoes) red
  54. dizzy punch everything in andre's gym, dont center before andre just use def curl + rollout and dont miss
  55. buy potions/repels
  56. repel at firelight cavern
  57. fight cooltrainer ace instead of the other one (go north) to speak to old man
  58. fight butch instead of firebreather (go south on floor below when heading around)
  59. get haze badge, teach surf, your moveset should be rollout defense curl dizzy punch and surf by now
  60. fly to phacelia
  61. SAVE BEFORE ENTERING NALJO RUINS, there is a known softlock if you fall into basement which has an extremely rare chance of trapping you without escape rope
  62. for naljo ruins, blue jewel, gas mask, hit 1st switch which disables the traps, hit 2nd switch, red jewel, brown jewel (it's the one on the right), green jewel, get prism jewel
  63. buy balls at prison
  64. catch bronzong and both hariyamas
  65. catch shiny rhydon
  66. GRAB MAX REVIVE FROM PHLOX LAB BASEMENT
  67. make PC trip and shuffle PC party into gym 8 team + pidgey, this is the only PC trip in the route
  68. buy 6 X Attacks for Scientist No 1
  69. --DO SCIENTIST NO 1 ROUTING HERE-- (this hasnt been tested)
  70. SAVE BEFORE SCIENTIST NO 1 IF ON 0.92+, DO NOT SAVE ON 0.91 (game will crash)
  71. setup 3 X Attacks azumarill on weezing, pray for no poison
  72. get magneton on sturdy 1 HP, switch into cyndaquil and quick attack, max revive azumarill
  73.

  75. use body slam PRZ on charizard then cross chop on magcargo on josiah gym 8
  76. do rinji before cadence in gym 8
  77. finish game
