  1. Mateusz Grabowicz
  2. John Locke was among the most famous philosophers and political theorists of the 17th century. He is often regarded as the founder of a school of thought known as British Empiricism, and he made foundational contributions to modern theories of limited, liberal government. He was also influential in the areas of theology, religious toleration, and educational theory. In his most important work, the Essay Concerning Human Understanding, Locke describe an analysis of the human mind and its acquisition of knowledge. He offered an empiricist theory according to which we acquire ideas through our experience of the world. The mind is then able to examine, compare, and combine these ideas in numerous different ways. Basically he says that at the moment of born our brain is empty. We don’t have preferences, we don’t know whether we like something or not. We find out it by experiencing things .I strongly believe that this statement is true.
  3. There is popular saying that says “a wise man changes his mind, a fool never will”. In my opinion this statement proves the truth of the thesis above. For example when we hear about something new, lets say new movie. At first we base our opinion based on the opinions of friends, on the reviews and trailers. If everything we heard about this movie was negative then we think that this movie must be really bad, but I had a lot situations when I heard a lot of bad things about movie but I had a lot of fun watching it and it was really well spent time. At first I based my opinion on the experience that I had, which was basically other peoples experience, but then I gained my own experience by watching this movie which shaped my own opinion about this movie.
  4. I will base my second argument on dogs because they are perfect example of how the world that surround us, it builds our character. There is popular opinion saying that there are more dangerous and more friendly breeds of dog. For example everyone is afraid of pit bulls, rottweilers or german shepherd and a lot of people feel comfortable when they see yorkshire terrier or shih tzu. That is true that rottweiler is stronger and looks more aggressive than shih tzu but that doesn’t that it will behave how it looks. My aunt from my mother side have a rottweiler named Chester. Chester was raised with my cousins which means that he experienced a lot of love from kids. He loves being pet and is happy to welcome any new guests. He don’t bite when you trying to pet him, he won’t even bark at you.
  5. In summary, if somebody asked me if I agree with Locke thesis, I would automatically say yes. There are a lot of arguments which proves that we don’t born as a bad guy or that we don’t born as a someone who don’t certain things without any logical reason.
