- Chemistry and Biology have always been my two favourite subjects in school. I find it fascinating how everything from breathing and digesting, to making soap, is centred around chemical reactions, and that chemistry can be found everywhere around us on a daily basis. Biology on the other hand, is something that I have been passionate about for as long as I can remember. I was always amazed by nature, wildlife and marine life alike, especially when I was younger. That passion only grew bigger as I got older, and through reading I got to satisfy my curiosity about animals and nature. And now, I have the opportunity to learn and understand a lot more than I could before.
- The fact that there is still much to discover about the world, and even about us humans, is one of the main reasons that I want to study a science-related subject, and especially biology. In the last year of highschool, I had the fortune of studying Genetics and I liked it, and that gave me a good understanding of how Genetics work, and ever since, I wished to continue studying Genetics in university in hopes of graduating and conducting my own research eventually.
- My goals and aspirations are rather big. As I previously stated, I wish to conduct my own research, possibly about genetic diseases, and look for possible cures for them. I also plan on further studying genetics after graduations, and partaking in graduate schools after gaining experience with my career, to earn a Masters degree and then a PhD in my field of studies.
- Outside of career goals and academic ambitions, my interests are varied. I enjoy reading books, watching movies along with some documentaries, as well as simply spending time with friends. Along with reading, I also regularly read the NatGeo magazine and website, and I'm always on the lookout for up-to-date information on any new scientific discoveries or achievements.
- I chose (college) based on the research I had previously done on the universities in (city). I chose (city) because it's the city I feel is the best in (country) and the one I liked most. And the research I had previously done on the subject showed that (college) has a lot of cultural meaning and history behind it, as well as being a main site in the (city).
