	Yuri was born as an only child to two Korean parents in Annecy, France. Her parents had both grown up in the busy city of Seoul, South Korea, and her mother didn't want to raise a child in a crowded city. She had vacationed in Annecy, France as a child and they made the big decision to move there when she found out she was pregnant. Yuri grew up speaking French in school and Korean at home since her parents were not very fluent in French. Learning English was mandatory at her school, so she is quite fluent in that, as well.
	She discovered her passion for dance at the young age of six. She knew from that age on that she wanted her career to be dance-related. Her mother supported her and wanted her to do what made her happy. Her father, on the other hand, was the opposite. He thought it was best for Yuri to grow up to be something like a doctor or a lawyer like him so she could make a lot of money. He refused to pay for dance lessons for his daughter, so Yuri's un-employed mother had to take family money without her husband's knowledge to secretly pay for Yuri's dance lessons. Being the determined and hard-working person Yuri is, she improved rapidly and was placed on a competitive dance team by the age of ten.
	Yuri decided to work as hard as possible to get to the top of her team, wanting to eventually prove to her father that she could turn her passion into a career if she became good enough at it. Yuri started being placed front and center for almost all of her team's dances, and she was given all of the dance solos. Her team began winning nearly all the local and state competitions and, at the age of thirteen, Yuri, along with two other girls from her local team, was recruited for a French dance team that competes internationally. She attended the competitions that her mother could make excuses for and lie to her father about the reasons for their travels. The other ones, she missed. Her and her mother had to make sure to turn off the TV or change the channel over the weeks after competitions so her father wouldn't see her dancing on TV.
	A few months after Yuri turned fourteen, her coach announced that their next competition was being held in Seoul, South Korea. Using the excuse of visiting her grandpa (her mom's father) who lived in Seoul, Yuri convinced her father to let all three of them fly to Seoul for the weekend of the competition. She and her mother snuck out of the house Saturday night to attend it. Her team from France ended up placing first. It was their first time placing first internationally, and Yuri was extremely proud of herself and her team. There were many scouts in the audience that night for various entertainment companies, looking for talent. After seeing Yuri dancing in the center of the winning team, an SM scout approached her on her way out of the building, recruiting her as a trainee. Her mother said yes but her father was outraged upon finding out. He was furious that they hadn't told him about Yuri's dance lessons and competitions all these years. Yuri and her mother insisted on staying at Yuri's grandpa's house so Yuri could train with SM Entertainment, and not believing that Yuri's talent could get her anywhere, her father went back to France, deciding not to be involved. But, unfortunately, a few months later, Yuri's grandpa passed away from a heart attack, leaving her mother devastated and without a place to live in South Korea. Her mother had to move back to Annecy with her husband and, not wanting to live thousands of miles away from her parents in a foreign country at the age of fourteen, Yuri went with her, leaving SM Entertainment.
	Yuri continued dancing and practicing singing back in France and as soon as she turned eighteen, she moved to South Korea on her own. Starship Entertainment was holding open auditions and after being amazing by her dance skills and powerful vocals, they accepted Yuri as a trainee after one audition. That was four years ago, and Han Yuri has been a Starship Ent. Trainee ever since.

ㅡ PERSONALITY:

-Determined
	Yuri is one of the most determined people you will ever meet. She's not necessarily an optimist, but in a way, she is. She doesn't assume everything will turn out well from the beginning, but she knows that if she works her butt off, she can make the best out of a situation and it can turn out relatively well if she's lucky.
-Competetive
	Yuri generally likes seeing others do well and succeed in things - she's not a mean person. But, she has no problem with seeing people lose if it means that she wins. In fact, she even enjoys it sometimes, although she would never admit it. 99% of the time, all Yuri is thinking of is winning. Being the best. Standing out from the other trainees. She wants to debut BADLY and she will do whatever it takes to make sure that it happens. She doesn't have much of a problem stepping on other people to get where she wants, either. She would never go out of her way to make another person fail at something, but she doesn't mind seeing other people fail if it means that she gets to the top.
-Sassy
	Yuri isn't usually considered mean, she's just quite sassy. Sometimes this can be a bad thing, but usually, people find it rather funny. She always has a witty insult on the tip of her tongue that she's ready to throw at anyone who bothers her or who she thinks deserves it.
-Cold (on the outside)
	Yuri likes to think that she doesn't get attached to people because she considers everyone around her competition that she may need to beat at any point in time if it comes down to it. She tries to be cold towards people to act like she doesn't like anyone but, in reality, she gets attached to people just as much as any regular person. She just doesn't show her love in a very obvious way. She doesn't like people to think she cares about anyone, including her friends, but she secretly cares about them much more than she'd like to admit, and she gets concerned for them often.
-Hard-Working & a Perfectionist
	Yuri was born into a relatively wealthy family because her father is a successful lawyer, but he did not support her passion. Yuri had to work to get to where she is now, and she's willing to work even harder to get even further. Yuri is the opposite of lazy; she gets everything done when it needs to be done. Every task thrown at Yuri is executed perfectly. She can't remember a time in her life when she's half-assed anything, whether it be a school assignment or dance choreography. This seems like a good thing, but sometimes it can get in the way of her health and happiness. She will skip meals, deprive herself of sleep, and over-work herself until she can barely stand. She often needs people to interrupt her and tell her that she's overworking herself. She needs reminders to do basic tasks like to brush her teeth and eat breakfast because she's too busy working on other things. Even when she has something like a dance choreography as close to perfect as anyone could possibly get it, it's not good enough in her eyes, and she keeps practicing until she can't anymore.
-Independent
	If Yuri asks someone for help, no matter what it's for, it means there is a serious problem that needs immediate attention. Yuri never asks for help. Ever. It doesn't matter how much she's struggling, she just can't ask for help. She doesn't think she needs it, and it hurts her own pride to admit to herself that she can't do something on her own. She convinces herself that she can do anything she sets her mind to as long as she works hard enough, and in her mind, asking for help means she's failed.
-Caring
	This mostly applies towards children. When people are younger than Yuri and they aren't any sort of competition to her, she is extremely caring. She picks out qualities in kids that she had at their age and/or still has, and she likes to help them get as far as she has. She loves helping younger trainees practice dancing and singing. She likes to cheer them up and tell them the story of how she got where she is, so they realize that sometimes, all of life's circumstances seem to be stacked against you, and you have to work extremely hard if you want to end up living out your dream. When young trainees feel like giving up, Yuri will find them and convince them to keep working, but she doesn't let people catch her being nice to young kids, because she doesn't want anyone to think of her as soft and sweet.

	Yuri doesn't have much of a filter in her head. She struggles to bite her tongue and she always says whatever comes to mind, regardless of whether or not it could hurt someone's feelings. When someone has food on their face or their singing is off-pitch, Yuri is the first one to tell them. She's just brutally honest; sometimes that can come off as her being rude, but she's really not trying to be.

ㅡ HOW DID SHE BECOME A TRAINEE?: (oops I included this in her background, but I'll sum it up here again) She moved to South Korea when she turned eighteen to pursue her dream of becoming a dancer. She saw signs on the street that Starship Entertainment was having open auditions in three days. She remembered that when she trained at SM for five months a few years ago, they worked a lot on dancing, and she had been improving a lot in singing since then, so she decided to audition. She passed the audition immediately because she was good-looking, her dancing was incredible, and her vocals were good, too.

ㅡ DURING TRAINEE YEARS: Yuri always worked extremely hard during trainee years so that she would one day get the chance to debut. She would choreograph dances, practice dancing constantly, and she got vocal lessons to improve her voice because although she was naturally a talented singer, she had never been professionally trained like she had with dancing, with the exception of her five months as an SM Ent. Trainee. She would get up early and stay up late to train as hard as possible to prove that she has what it takes to debut in a girl group.

ㅡ PRE-DEBUT: Yuri didn't really do much pre-debut other than dance. She was on a competitive dance team since the age of ten that competed around France and in various countries in Europe. At the age of fourteen, she was recruited for France's international competitive dance team, and she gained some fame around the world from doing well in the televised competitions. Many people may recognize her when she debuts from winning dance competitions pre-debut.

ㅡ ON STAGE PRESENCE: On stage, Yuri is very focused. She doesn't let anything distract her. She acts however she's told to. If it's a cute concept, she acts cute (although she doesn't really like cute concepts), if it's a tough concept, she acts tough. She rarely lets her true emotions through in singing, but she does in her dancing, especially in dance solos. She really lets her emotions show in her dancing and people praise her for how moving and beautiful her dancing is, no matter what style.

ㅡ SCANDALS:

-About a year ago, footage was released of Yuri "bullying" another trainee by calling her rude names and insulting her, but Starship Ent. quickly released an official statement clarifying that the two girls were close friends and Yuri was completely kidding. Some people are still skeptical of Yuri and her personality/sense of humor, though.

-Yuri had a dating scandal with NCT's Ten when she went to visit SM Entertainment and another trainee took a picture that appeared to show Ten and Yuri kissing, although the picture was from a distance. Starship and SM Ent. later confirmed they were kissing each other's cheeks like people do in France (the camera angle caught it awkwardly) and that they were just close friends because Yuri used to be an SM Trainee and they both speak English.

-A picture is taken of Yuri hugging Monsta X's Kihyun (who is in the audience) after performing at a Luxe concert, and this, of course, sparks dating rumors. The rumors are quickly shot down when Starship Ent. releases a statement that the two idols are just good friends, even though this statement is a bit of a lie.

「 FOLLOW ME 」

ㅡ REQUESTED SCENES:
1. They're being woken up in the morning by their manager because they have an early practice and Yuri doesn't realize who's waking her up and she says something rude towards them and then she realizes it was her manager and she gets embarrassed but she can't stop laughing.
2. The choreographer for a dance puts Yuri in the back for most of it and she gets annoyed so she says that she's the best dancer here and should get put in the front. She shows them a freestyle dance and the choreographer changes their mind and puts her in the front but everyone else is kinda annoyed with her for showing off.
3. A younger trainee comes to Yuri for advice about something during practice and Yuri ignores her at the time and tells her she's busy, but then she finds her after practice when no one is around and she gives her advice and helps her with whatever she needs help with.
4. She choreographs's a dance that's too hard for some people in the group and they ask her to make it easier and she gets annoyed and says that then it won't be good enough. Instead, she tells everyone to come to practice for more hours so they can practice the harder dance and after a while everyone gets it and they're glad Yuri made them work hard.
5. Lots of scenes with Yuri's sassy/feisty personality and funny moments when she roasts people

ㅡ REQUESTED SCENES WITH L/I:
1. Kihyun has been watching Yuri practice dancing and he's amazed by how good she is. Yuri has also heard Kihyun sing and she's blown away by his vocals. Kihyun comes to one of Luxe's performances mainly just to see Yuri. Yuri is doing great but then she sees Kihyun in the audience and she gets nervous and she accidentally messes up on one of the moves. It's a small mistake and she quickly recovers, but she's really angry at herself for messing up such a simple move. Kihyun comes to see her backstage and he finds her yelling at herself out loud for messing up. The other girls tell him it's normal and that she does this whenever she messes up. Kihyun goes over to her and tells her she did amazing and that she's the best dancer he's ever seen, and Yuri gets kinda shy and blushy because she's always looked up to him as a singer and a performer and as a person.
2. Kihyun is taking a walk behind the Starship building to take a break from practice and he hears crying. He follows the sound and finds Yuri sitting on the ground behind the studio crying. He sits down next to her and asks if she's okay and what's wrong. She tells him she's fine and that she's worried she's going to get kicked out of Luxe because her singing isn't as good as some of the other girls. He hugs her and tells her that her singing is amazing and, although it may not be the best in the group, her dancing easily makes up for it.
3. Yuri HATES asking for help, but she's assigned a high-note in one of their songs and she's worried she won't be able to sing it during a performance. Kihyun is the best vocalist she knows and she finally forces herself to ask him for help, and he's very glad to help. They meet up after practice and he helps her practice hitting the high note. She's embarrassed that she had to ask him for help, but she gets over it after a while because she finds that he's actually a great vocal coach.
4. Kihyun stays up really late one night in the studio (which he doesn't usually do) because he has to practice singing for their concert in a few days. He thinks he's the last one in the studio and he is leaving to go back to his dorm, but he hears music. He follows it and finds that Yuri is still at the studio practicing her dancing. It's like 1:30 a.m. and he knocks and asks what she's doing up. She says that she always stays up late because she's practicing. He turns off her music and tells her that she needs to get sleep. She says that practice is more important, and he jokingly picks her up and puts her over his shoulder, carrying her out of the dance studio. She's laughing and telling him to put her down and stuff and he carries her into her dorm and puts her down on her bed. She keeps trying to get up and he says he isn't leaving until she goes to sleep. He ends up lying down next to her and she falls asleep but he accidentally falls asleep there, too.
5. The next morning all the girls are gathered around Yuri's bed, confused as to why Kihyun is sleeping next to her. They're both embarrassed and Yuri tells everyone to mind their own business and Kihyun says to ignore her and he explains what actually happened so they don't suspect anything, then he quickly leaves.
6. Lots of scenes where Yuri insults Kihyun and he pretends to be hurt and then she apologizes because he looks too cute when he's sad, and he tells her he was never really sad because he knew she was kidding.
7. Kihyun comes to another Luxe concert and Yuri does a really good job and she sees him in the audience and she runs up to him and hugs him after performing. Some people take pictures of them and this turned into a minor scandal, but luckily, it's quickly dismissed by Starship.

ㅡ HOW YOU MET?: They actually meet for the first time when Kihyun talks to her backstage and tells her not to yell at herself. He caught sight of her dancing through the studio window a few weeks before the concert and he had been watching her practice each day ever since, amazed by her skills. Yuri looks up to Monsta X immensely, especially Shownu for his dancing and Kihyun for his vocals. She loves to wait outside the recording studio whenever Kihyun is singing and listen to him, but she always leaves before he notices her. At the concert when Yuri makes eye contact with Kihyun and then messes up, he knows it's because of him. She made obvious eye contact, and he was staring at her the entire time. After she performs, he goes backstage to apologize for messing her up and to officially introduce himself, and that's when he finds her yelling at herself about messing up and he tells her she did amazing and that she's the best dancer he's ever seen.

ㅡ HOW YOU ACT AROUND EACH OTHER?:
[Yuri's P.O.V] I try to act normal around him because I know that he's a human just like me, and I would want to be treated like a normal human by other people. But it's hard because I look up to him and admire him so much. His voice is amazing and he's so attractive, I often stutter around him and get shy, then I cover it up by insulting him and laughing, and it makes me look even more awkward.

[Kihyun's P.O.V] She gets pretty shy around me, it's honestly adorable. I like how stubborn she is, too.  But one minute she's blushing and quiet, the next she's roasting me about something and laughing about it. Her jokes are always funny, but I have to pretend to be sad so she apologizes and tells me to stop pouting because it's too cute. She often over-works herself and she doesn't seem too confident in her own skills. Whenever I'm around her, I make sure to compliment her and tell her how good her dancing looks so she knows she's doing a good job because she's really doing an amazing job, she just can't see it.

ㅡ RELATIONSHIP:
⟳ BEGINNING; They start out as friends, Kihyun kind of as a mentor to Yuri. He also comforts her and boosts her confidence whenever she needs it.
⟳ MIDDLE; They begin to really enjoy each other's company and they hang around each other as much as possible. Their talking and joking becomes very flirty.
