  1. For the past few days and weeks, I’ve been noticing a lot more girls around. A lot more. And some of them even smile at me! Most of this happens at work, the one constant social-interaction in my life at the present moment. Now, I don’t want to fall into the trap a lot of guys fall into, which is that they assume that just because a girl’s smiling at them or is being friendly, that means she’s got any sort of romantic interest in them whatsoever. Apparently according to a couple of friends of mine though, a lot of girls have been smiling at me as of late, and I’m just not sure what all this means. I went out for some pizza today, and happened to go to a store where I was talking to a cashier I’d spoken to before, couple weeks back, and my friend was paying. I asked her if she remembered me and she replied that she did. With a smile. I wasn’t sure what to make of this so after saying good-bye and leaving, I asked my friends what their thoughts were. One of them was non-commital, but the other (also a girl, so I dunno if her opinion is legit or not) did state that the cashier seemed particularly friendly towards me.

  3. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve always thought I was one ugly sonofabitch, but I’ve tried to be more confident as of late, and just to be more pleasant and smiling and ‘flirty’ towards girls, even though I don’t know how to go about it. But yeah, I definitely am now wondering about all those other girls smiling at me lately, especially this one very pretty girl whom I served at the cash counter who was ALL SMILES, completely and utterly whenever I gave her her card, or looked at her, or whenever our eyes locked. At the end of our interaction, when I wished her a good night, I smiled a little bit at her, and I’m almost near certain that her smile was super-wide at seeing me smile. So yeah, not sure what all this means, but apparently I’m doing better than before.
