AiE: You Can't Spell Friend Without Fiend Chapter 5

> Rays of sunlight coming through a window rouse you from the brief blackout and before you stands Nightmare’s polar opposite, clearly this must be Celestia.
> You thought it was funny she didn’t come face you from the get go. Had to have her “faithful student” do the dirty work. Fuckin’ bitch.
> You want to get up and blast her with your magic but everything hurts so much. You can barely draw enough breath to stay awake let alone speak.
> Celestia walks past you and approaches a smaller looking pony you don’t recall seeing last night. There is a brief pause before the small one hugs Celestia. That small one looks so familiar. Wait a minute, you know that flank mark.
“Moonbutt? Is that you?”
> All the ponies turn to you in shock before Grape drank speaks up.
> GD: “That’s the creature that appeared with Nightmare Moon last night! It almost stopped the elements of harmony from finishing off Nightmare. Be careful Princess Celestia, it has powerful magic.”
> Cel:” Worry not Twilight Sparkle; it doesn’t appear to be in any shape to fight.”
“Like hell I’m not.” You cough out before standing up and seeing eye to eye with Celestia. It sort of helps her that your knees are bent and you’re slouching to the point where you might as well just hold your upper body up by your thighs. Still, there’s no telling what they’ve done to Nightmare at this point and when it comes to fight or flight, you always thought the L was unnecessary.
“What did you do to Nightmare?” You spit on the ground to accentuate your point.
> It’s more blood than actual spit on the floor but you need to find out what happened before you can decide if you’ll need to ruin someone’s shit today.
> Cel: “The elements have purged the corruption of Nightmare moon from my dear little sister Luna. Now tell me creature, why were you not destroyed by the elements? Are you not a familiar of Nightmare?” She looks at you with contempt.
> You suddenly recall the story Nightmare told you of how she came to be. So that blue one is Luna then? At least she’s alright. Still if what you know of Celestia is true then you need to be ready to act.
> You bring your hands together to crack your knuckles before noticing that your hands are still charred and skeletal save for bits of flesh that didn’t fall off. Can’t feel pain if there’s no nerves left to feel them with you suppose, though how you can still move them about is a mystery.
> Luna: “Sister, wait, Anonymous is not of this world and he only served nightmare to escape imprisonment on the moon!”
> Cel: “Is this true?” she says with an errant coldness in her voice.
> Looking towards Luna she gives you a pleading look which you understand.
“Yeah, I was told she could get me down to earth if I promised to serve her on it. But if you all have defeated her then I guess I’m free from my servitude. Thank you all.” You say while faking the most sincere smile you can.
> Luna trots up to you and starts emitting a spell from her horn that envelops your hands and you watch as flesh grows from nothing and the feeling returns to your hands.
“Thank you.” You say genuinely which causes Luna to smile warmly at you.
> Celestia continues her hard gaze but relaxes a bit at her sisters doting on you.
> Cel:”So sister, I see you retain the memories of your time as Nightmare Moon?”
> Luna: “Yes, but Anonymous here showed genuine concern for our well being and helped ease the loneliness in our heart.”
“What’s with the third person speech?”
> Luna: “Ah yes, well since nightmare was created by our-MY own emotions, she became a second me. Therefore now that she has been sealed away, she and I are as one. You might say that you’re speaking to the both of us now. We remember your deeds well Anonymous and we will defend your honor to the fullest.”
> This mare man. Or is it mares? As long as that ol’ black magic is in there, then you know she is still your friend.
“Thank you, Luna. Can I call you Luna?”
> She blushes a little before responding, “Oh, well actually, we would prefer that.”
> Cel: “Well Luna I’m glad to see you’ve made a friend but there is still the matter of the three guards Anonymous here defeated. The armor took much of the impact but they have still been hospitalized for electrical burns and trauma from the fall. Friend or family, everyone must pay for their crimes.”
> The six smaller ponies seem to be contemplating their princesses’ words and showing signs of their approval with slow nodding.
“So what happens now? Prison? Fines? I can’t afford much of anything since I left my wallet in a dimension that’s gone. I really doubt I could fight you now, but I’m dumb enough to try. Call it human error.”
> Cel: “Human?”
> Oh yeah, only Luna and discord would really know what you are.
“Yes ma’am, first and probably last of my kind in all of Equestria… Aw I made myself sad.”
> You slump back against the wall in a vain attempt to find comfort with it.
> Cel: “It would seem there is more to your story than I anticipated. While you have my sister as a character witness, don’t think for a second I don’t have my own doubts about you, ESPECIALLY after what you did to those guards.”
> Oh right, wonder what the penalty is for assaulting an officer here.
“Yeah, it’s easy to get carried away using magic when it doesn’t exist where I’m from.”
> The ponies give a look of shock at your statement.
> Twi: “No magic, but how did your people get along without it?”
“Get along she says. Yeah you mares don’t know a thing about humans.”
> Cel: “Well I foresee a suitable punishment for you Anonymous, seeing as how you’re not a member of Equestrian society and an endangered species you are to be studied by Twilight Sparkle until you are suitably catalogued.”
> A book about you? Dohoho these ponies. Well that’s one way to diffuse a situation. Celestia hasn’t ruled the last thousand years single handedly for no reason.
“Not like I can disagree with that anyway. Besides I’m not a bad person, I just do bad things. What about Luna, what happens with her?”
> Luna: “Before you arose, we had made peace with our sister; the two of us shall rule Equestria together as we we’re meant to. There won’t be much time for us but we promise to remain friends with you Anonymous.”
> Just friends? Is she breaking up with you? Were you together in the first place? She probably doesn’t want her sister to find out anyway. Still she’s the first friend you’ve made here.
“If you’ll be there for me, I’ll be there for you. That’s a promise.” You say as you run a hand through her mane.
> A collective “awwww…” is heard from the majority of ponies present.
> Cel: “Now that that’s settled, I believe we’ve spent enough time here my little ponies.”
> PP: “Hey! You know what this calls for?”
> A drink you hope.
