(12:35:13 AM) ***Blueshift_North pulls the camera feeds for the ship, realizing she wants to speak to her new charge, and realizing she doesn't know where she is.
(12:36:19 AM) Ikiryo: Fortunetly, unlike SOME members of her crew she doesn't seem to be a ninja that can avoid the cameras. She's sitting quietly in her room.
(12:38:15 AM) ***Blueshift_North heads there and knocks gently on the door.
(12:39:46 AM) Ikiryo: "...come in."
(12:41:17 AM) ***Blueshift_North steps in.  "Hey." She says quietly.  "If you don't want to talk to me, you know that's ok, right?"
(12:42:18 AM) Ikiryo: "...it's alright." The room is very spartan. She didn't take any toys with her from her home, being blood splattered sort of ruined that.
(12:45:12 AM) Blueshift_North: ". . . would you be okay staying with Yellow for a bit? Her ship is better equipped for people your age, because there's actually children there.  Mostly because. . . I don't think you want to be on the ship when I go make sure the person who. . . got your mom, can't do that to anyone else."
(12:45:50 AM) Ikiryo: "Yellow? Is that...is that your friend from before?"
(12:46:28 AM) Blueshift_North: "Yeah.  She's kind of a pop star.""
(12:47:02 AM) Ikiryo: "I mean...if you want to send me there." She nods
(12:49:43 AM) Blueshift_North: ". . . It's not that.  It's just.  Do you want to be on board this ship, when I fly it up to the person who killed your mother, and make sure he can't ever do that again?"
(12:50:20 AM) Ikiryo: "I...I..." She starts to cry
(12:51:03 AM) ***Blueshift_North goes to hug her.  "I'm sorry."
(12:52:08 AM) Ikiryo: She sobs into North's shoulder
(12:52:45 AM) ***Blueshift_North holds her, gently until she calms down.
(12:53:25 AM) Ikiryo: It takes her several minutes and she's very quiet when she's done.
(12:55:01 AM) Blueshift_North: "I'll call you as soon as it's over to let you know everythings okay.  But I'm not going to let him do that again." She says, quietly.
(1:00:02 AM) Ikiryo: "Y-You're not just getting rid of me?"
(1:05:09 AM) Blueshift_North: "No.  I wouldn't do that to you.  If you want, after, we can talk about maybe you staying on their ship, and if you do I'll make sure you can contact me whenever you want.  Just because. . . that's not an active pirate ship, and has children your age.  But that's only if you want to stay there.  I just. . . I'm not doing a very good job of making sure you're cared for, but if you want to stay here, then you can."
(1:09:08 AM) Ikiryo: She looks at North, confused. North gets the feeling she might have said more than the girl can comprehend.
(1:10:46 AM) ***Blueshift_North sighs.  "I care a lot about you and I want you to be where you'll be happiest.  If that's here, with me, that's fine, and good.  If that's somewhere else, that's okay too, but I'm going to stop by and call you a lot."
(1:12:19 AM) Ikiryo: "...right." She nods
(1:15:00 AM) Blueshift_North: ". . . Is there anything you want to do before then? We could get you some stuff for your room, if you want."
(1:17:22 AM) Ikiryo: "...I miss my bear." North remembers it, crucified to the wall.
(1:18:20 AM) Blueshift_North: ". . . Alright, come on,  Let's get you a new one." She stands and offers a hand to her.
(1:20:51 AM) Ikiryo: She takes it.
(1:23:14 AM) ***Blueshift_North heads to the door.  "Is there a place that does the best bears? I'd offer to make one, but I'm not good at that, and I think if we asked Adelinda, it'd have a laser cannon." She winks, clearly joking.
(1:26:54 AM) Ikiryo: "I...I don't know..." She shakes her head
(1:28:05 AM) Blueshift_North: "Okay, well.  Let's spend the day doing it, we can go to all the stores in driving distance until we find the best one.  Get lunch, whatever you want."  She kneels down and hugs her again.  "Ot
(1:28:22 AM) Blueshift_North: "It's okay that you don't know.  We can find out together."
(1:29:57 AM) Ikiryo: "I guess..." She hugs back, weakly.
(1:30:47 AM) Xiaozhi [[email protected]] entered the room.
(1:36:23 AM) Blueshift_North: ". . . Do you not want to do that? If you'd like it better we can order something online? Do stuff here?" She frets a little.
(1:37:05 AM) Ikiryo: "I don't know..." She frowns.
(1:41:03 AM) Blueshift_North: ". . . Okay.  Then.  Let's get Adelinda and go out.  Make a day of it, we can get you a new bear, hang out, have a good time?"
(1:44:04 AM) Ikiryo: She nods. "Alright."
(1:49:13 AM) ***Blueshift_North texts Adelinda [Hey, want to go toy shopping, grab lunch, and see where things go from there?]
(1:50:24 AM) Ikiryo: [Yeah, sure. Bringing the kid?]
(1:52:12 AM) Blueshift_North: [Yeah.  She needs to get out, take her mind off things.]
(1:52:37 AM) Blueshift_North: [Needs a bear too, and I don't know where to get those.]
(1:54:15 AM) Ikiryo: [...stuffed or living?]
(1:55:03 AM) Blueshift_North: [Former, jeez.]
(1:56:10 AM) Ikiryo: [Just saying, I know where we could get her an actual bear]
(1:57:25 AM) Blueshift_North: [I mean I do too.]  A beat.  "You know, if you want we could get you a pet bear."
(1:58:39 AM) Ikiryo: "...what?"
(1:58:59 AM) Blueshift_North: "If you wanted we could get you a full sized living bear."
(2:00:22 AM) Ikiryo: "Wouldn't that be a bit big?"
(2:00:41 AM) Blueshift_North: "I have space on the ship."
(2:00:52 AM) Ikiryo: "I mean...I guess?"
(2:01:12 AM) Blueshift_North: "That sounds like a no.  WHich is fine."
(2:02:11 AM) Ikiryo: "If you want to?"
(2:03:57 AM) Blueshift_North: "I want to get you something that you want. Which means that we'll probably be stuck in this loop for a while until Adelinda shows up and calls me a dork."
(2:04:11 AM) Ikiryo: "Hey Dork~" She hears the doors open
(2:05:12 AM) Blueshift_North: "Told you.  Anyway there's a toy store like, four blocks away, and I've removed all of them owned by Rakdos from my search."
(2:07:14 AM) Ikiryo: "Sounds good~" Adelinda grins at the pair.
(2:09:53 AM) ***Blueshift_North looks down at Meriel and offers her a hand.  "You ready? Or uh.  Do you want to ride on my shoulders?  Are you too old for that?" She makes that face that tells you that she thinks she should already know the answer.
(2:10:49 AM) Ikiryo: "...I can walk." She shakes her head...and protests as Adelinda hoists her up anyway, grinning.
(2:12:21 AM) ***Blueshift_North walks backwards in front of them, flicking on a camera concealed on the back of her coat, so she can do exactly this.  "You're cute like that." She states, matter of factly.

(2:14:56 AM) ***Blueshift_North smiles.  She'd take a picture if she wasn't always recording video already.  She does change the desktop background of her main computer though.
