(The camera clicks on showing a booth at casual restaurant, directly ahead is a man in his late 50’s with fine white hair, large coke bottle glasses and an abnormally round red face. He is wearing an ill-fitting black suit and an expensive silk tie covered in the Disney logo. He fidgets with his tie as a waitress puts a soda down next to him.)
Man in suit: Is my tie straight Ms. Yukko? Dad always says you can’t take someone seriously unless their tie is on straight and it’s not every day the council folks want to talk to me. I’d hate for people to think I didn’t have my head on straight.
Yuuko: You look fine Will, very handsome. (Fumbling with the camera before mounting it on a small tripod on the table and Clearing her throat) this is Council envoy Yuuko Shirakawa, agent of the dragon, and historian for the archives in Dublin Ireland. As part of the Chronicles initiative, I am interviewing active agents from the 21st century so that future generations may better understand the context in which events are taking place. This session is being recorded on 08/31/2016 in Anaheim California, in the United States of America at the Pizza Press restaurant.
Yuuko: Could you please state your full name, date of birth, affiliation and rank.
Will: My name is William Atlas Disney, I was born on June, 11th, 1959, to Mary Grace Meadows and Walter Elias Disney. I work for my dad, so think that means I work for the Illuminati (the blue guys with the guns). I don’t think I have an official rank or nothing like that, but I mostly clean and fix stuff for my dad and Kirsten calls me a “special asset”, she said she wasn’t trying to be mean either (I think), she said that I’m somewhere between a contractor and regular employ so she said I was a “special asset”.
Yukko: Can you tell us about your family?
Will: My mom was named Mary, she was a real pretty lady, who disappeared when I was little. When I use to ask what her job was, she said she was a retired “good time” girl. When rich people use to throw parties and what not, they use to hire girls to dance and talk with the fellas who didn’t have a wife yet. I couldn’t get her to tell me more than that, but she said she gave it up once she met my dad, Walt Disney. My Dad use to draw cartoons and then he became one of those high powered business types, he still draws from time to time but now he says his full time job is “making sure people make the right choices.” I am not sure what that means, but it seems to stress him out a lot, right now he’s yelling about the TPP and how the democrats is a bunch pussies for not holding up their end of the deal and pushing it through. That’s all politics though and I prefer to steer clear of that mess yes sir, no good ever came from dealing with politicians at least that's what my Uma use to say.
Yuuko: Where did you grow up?
Will: Mostly under the park, Dad doesn’t like to let me out above ground during business hours, says it ruins the magic for our paying guests. But a lot of times I would take what Dr. H would call “constitutionals” (that’s a fancy word for a break) outside the park. But I mostly spent my time around here in Anaheim.
Yuuko: How would you describe your childhood?
Will:…I think it was a good one, Dad didn’t like me at first but I think I have grown on him.
Yuuko: Why didn’t you dad like you?
Will: On a count of my condition, mom use to say he was embarrassed by me because I have Down's Syndrome. And because he is one of those high power business types, he saw it as a weakness and tried to keep people from finding out about me.
Yuuko: That’s horrible.
Will: I know, but as he got to know me I think he hated me less, and I only have good memories of mom though and even though she left when I was little, it wasn’t just me and my dad. The people that work underneath the park have always been really nice to me and I even got to know some people top side. My favorite was my Uma.
Yuuko: Could you tell us a little more about your Uma?
Will: (pulling out his wallet, he puts a black and white photo on the table of himself as a child with a woman with black hair dressed as snow white) Her name was Uma Goldstein she came to America after the war and was our snow white for a long time. She use to take care of me when I was little and made sure no one messed with me. She took real good care me even when she got too old to be snow white and started taken care of our princesses instead. She said she did it because she use to have a son that was like me and god wanted her to watch out for people who the world was always messing with. She said it prettier than me though, she knew a lot of pretty words and was real smart.
Yuuko: How were you first introduced to the secret world?
Will: I guess you’d say I was born into it. Though I really didn’t do anything for the blue guys until sometime in the 80’s, (I think it was 82) when my Uma was dying. She said she lost her youngest (the one that was like me) to the Germans but she didn’t know what became of her older son. I reached out to Kirsten Geary for help finding out what happened to him and she made sure he was there when she left.
Yuuko: …that was uncharacteristically nice of her…
Will: She didn’t do it out of the kindness of her heart or nothin, I had to give her a whole mess of papers from my dad’s office and I tell you what he beat me black and blue when he found out. If the bees didn’t find me at the bottom of that stair well, I’d be sitin beside Uma in heaven right now.
Yuuko: Did you have any contact (either directly or indirectly) with your society before your powers awakened?
Will: Yes sir, the Illuminati have been watching me since I was born, thought I was good leverage over my dad.
Yuuko: Can you tell us what a normal day looks like for you?
Will: Well, I get up around 7:00 do my exercises, get dressed and go get my cart and stock it for the day. Then I start on the lowest level and get the big trash cans first and then go to the offices and get the little ones. I do that for all the floors and then I have lunch, usually whatever the special is, the cafeteria got good sandwiches. Then I head topside and clean the bathrooms and get trash that fell out of the cans. After all that’s done its usually dark but by then my sweethearts shift is starting, so I go and say hi to her, before getting dinner and heading back down. Dr. K, got me an iPad for my birthday a couple of years ago and I use that to watch movies on the internet. Best thing I own.
Yuuko: Has your work for your society ever brought you into contact with anyone who would be considered historically significant (world leaders, celebrities, scientist and engineers.)
Will: All the time, every President since JFK has come to see my dad. Usually they are really nice, but mostly they just shake your hand and pose for a picture. Then, they go talk to my dad and usually come out lookin really sad. I got a scrapbook of pictures of every one I have met so far, probably should have brought it with me but I didn’t want to get pizza on it. (The waitress slides a plate in front of Will and Yuuko.)
Yuuko: Have you ever seen an event reported in the media and known that it was a lie and if so can you tell us what really happened?
Will: I don’t watch the news much, from time to time I see things that most people don’t, but I think that’s just the bees.
Yuuko: What was the last event you can remember that shook both the secret world and the mundane equally?
Will: That bomb in Tokyo stands out the most, ever one was really panicked that day.
Yuuko: Have you ever participated in an event considered historically important to the mundane world and if so was it on behalf of your society.
Will: Not to outsider no. But we have been getting a lot of guest lately, Templar (red guys with swords) and sometime other blues, I think they might be up to something big, not sure what though.
