  1. <joo> I don't know if this website is trolling me, or if someone who can hardly speak English really decided to start an English news website: https://sherbrooktimes.com/austria-a-french-tourist-saves-a-because-of-a-fall-in-a-precipice/4557
  2. <joo> The IP address geolocates to Ukraine.
  3. <joo> Maybe this is a Bargain-Bucket version of RT.
  4. <joo> Right... in a version of the page cached by Google, some of the articles are written in Russian. They're still online, even: https://sherbrooktimes.com/sankcii-prodoljautsia-tramp-zapretil-grajdanam-vosmi-stran-vezd-v-ssha/5050
  5. <joo> My guess would be that some incompetent Russian or Ukrainian gang decided to cash in some Funding being provided by the Russian government for fake news purveyors.
  6. <joo> The English articles could even be machine-translated from Russian.
  7. <joo> A lot of them credit an entity called "Rus.Media" for the stories.
  8. <joo> One thing they do seem to have a grasp of is SEO, because the site appeared in Google's news aggregator despite being no more than a few months old and 100% garbage.
