- - Short rests: 8 hours, or generally "making camp". Long rests: 48 hours.
- - Short and long rests do not restore hit points. You must use hit dice as normal to restore health.
- - Medical attention (through medical kits, and the like) is required to expend hit dice on a short rest.
- - Long rests heal "war weariness", effectively resetting your hidden morale score.
- - Morale saves (which are hidden) will be made, inflicting statuses such as confused or frightened.
- - You are equipped with combat stimulants and sedatives. You have one sedative and one stimulant. Stimulants allow you to force a success on any one physical ability check, while sedatives allow you to force a success on a morale check. While you are able to use a stimulant or a sedative even after the initial outcome of success or failure is determined, be warned that usage of these pharmaceuticals carries narrative weight.
- Things that lower morale:
- - taking hits
- - people dying
- - successive combats without long rests
- Things that raise morale:
- - completing a combat without taking any damage
- - completing certain mission objectives
