  1. [18:48] <Fomor> A day or so after the escape from the boat, Fomor sends a message to Cazador. [Do you want to go out for those noodles I owe you some time?]
  2. 01[18:49] <Cazador> [Eh, sure, not busy. Where'd you want to meet?]
  3. [18:49] <Fomor> [In the city? I found a place that's apparently pretty nice.]
  4. 06[18:49] * Fomor sends an address.
  5. 01[18:49] <Cazador> [Aight, I'll be there in...thirty minutes? Depends on traffic on the east side.]
  6. [18:52] <Fomor> [Alright seeya soon.] The connection ends. A quick search would show that the store in question is...it's got good reviews but it's far, far from high class. More like 'That sort of lower middle class that's in a safe enough location for rich people to slum'.

  10. 06[18:57] * Cazador rolls up on her Mirage thirty-five minutes later. It's pretty clearly undergone some shop work, given the big armor plates on its front and over the handles. She kicks the stand out and leans it, pulls the key, and heads inside. She's wearing torn up jeans and a faded t-shirt that does little to cover up her tattoos and dermal implants.
  11. 06[18:59] * Fomor on the other hand is wearing a pretty blue hoodie dress and sneakers. She's claimed a table and gives a small wave to Cazador. She took a taxi herself.
  12. 06[18:59] * Cazador sits down. "So what's up."
  13. [19:01] <Fomor> "Not much. You?" She puts the menu on the table for Cazador
  14. 06[19:02] * Cazador takes the menu. "Just training with my profesor."
  15. 06[19:03] * Fomor nods "Oh? What do you train in?" The menu is rather nice looking, lots of noodle dishes. Some even have actual meat.
  16. 01[19:03] <Cazador> "Shooting people."
  17. 06[19:04] * Cazador sends in an order for a soda and one of the beef noodle bowls.
  18. [19:06] <Fomor> "...alright, that was a stupid question." She nods. "Then again, I suppose Siobhan is teaching me the same. Just not with a gun." She looks over them and orders Wonton noodles.
  19. 01[19:07] <Cazador> "Bruja shit?"
  20. 06[19:08] * Fomor shakes her head. "I'm no good at combat magic. Archery of various sorts."
  21. 01[19:08] <Cazador> "Ah, that crossbow you showed me."
  22. 06[19:10] * Fomor nods "And a couple of others, yeah. Siobhan nearly made it to the olympics for archery. I'm not exactly that good."
  23. 01[19:10] <Cazador> "Alright." She leans back in her chair.
  24. 06[19:13] * Fomor looks like she's going to say something, then thinks twice about it. The food soon arives for the pair.
  25. 06[19:13] * Cazador digs into her food almost right away, barely letting it cool.
  26. 06[19:15] * Fomor on the other hand eats her much more slowly. "Hey Caz...do you mind if I ask you a question?"
  27. 01[19:15] <Cazador> "Sup."
  28. [19:16] <Fomor> "Why did you join the show? I mean, you don't seem like the makeup department trying to dress you up was your first choice."
  29. 06[19:17] * Cazador thinks for a moment. "Cause I'd never done anything like it before."
  30. 06[19:19] * Fomor gives a small chuckle. "That almost sounds like why I did it. Likely not though."
  31. 01[19:20] <Cazador> "I dunno for real though. It was kind of an impulse I guess. Hernandez actually called me on it the other day."
  32. 01[19:21] <Cazador> "I guess all I'm here to do is ride it while it lasts, then walk away when it's gone."
  33. 01[19:21] <Cazador> "Kinda like dating actually."
  34. 03[19:22] * Odin ([email protected]) has joined #seattle72
  35. [19:23] <Fomor> "I wouldn't know." She nods "I did it mostly because it was something I'd never done and no one would expect me to do it. My own choice." That last part seems important to her.
  36. 06[19:28] * Cazador snorts. "What, the dating? Elf guys really that bad?"
  37. 06[19:29] * Fomor smirks. "How would I know if I've never dated? Honestly just never the time for it and even if I did my Sister...she didn't do wonders for my social life."
  38. 01[19:30] <Cazador> "Quaddie? She's a little weird but she'd clean up nice."
  39. [19:31] <Fomor> "Oh? Are you paying attention to that?" She teases gently.
  40. 01[19:31] <Cazador> "Nah, not into elves."
  41. 06[19:32] * Cazador drinks her soda
  42. [19:33] <Fomor> "That's good. I'd hate to try and be the protective older Sister. You'd stomp all over me." She sips her own. "Anyway, I was talking about my older Sister. She never liked me and she was very good at making it known."
  43. 01[19:34] <Cazador> "Sounds like a bitch. You beat her up?"
  44. [19:36] <Fomor> "No, though I think I could. She was always more talky than me. Yes, I'm the face of our team but." She frowns "Do you have much experiance with the Bard's Way and it's adepts? More Bruja stuff, yes."
  45. 01[19:37] <Cazador> "Um, gonna go with 'no.'"
  46. 01[19:40] <Cazador> "Sounds like some Ancients shit though."
  47. [19:40] <Fomor> "Alright. The Bard's way is that of words and convincing people. They can be great entertainers or diplomats or they can be gigantic bitches who ruin your life and destroy all your friendships." She mutters the last part bitterly.
  48. 01[19:41] <Cazador> "Gotcha. Definitely some shit I ain't heard about."
  49. [19:45] <Fomor> "An adept following that way is supernaturaly good at talking, able to make people do and think things they never would. Give her ten minutes alone with one of those Iron Crosses and she'd likely have him trying to join the Ancients."
  50. 01[19:46] <Cazador> "See, this is why I don't truck with bruja shit."
  51. [19:49] <Fomor> "Sorry, I'm rambling." She holds up a hand. "And if it helps, I don't do that sort of stuff. Mostly just turn things invisible or to stone."
  52. 01[19:49] <Cazador> "That's good. Still. Don't like the idea of some bruja getting in my fuckin head."
  53. [19:51] <Fomor> "Try living it." She shake her head. "Anyway, I'm here so I can do something I chose to do and prove to myself and her that I'm able to do something well."
  54. 01[19:51] <Cazador> "So, uh, I got a question then."
  55. [19:51] <Fomor> "Shoo...go ahead." She quickly corrects herself.
  56. 06[19:53] * Cazador lowers her voice slightly. "I thought you said you and Quaddie were clones of some other chick, but you're talking like this is your real sister."
  57. 01[19:54] <Cazador> "Now, it ain't my business, but if you're gonna lie you should figure out how to be good at it."
  58. [19:54] <Fomor> "...crap." She puts her face in her palms. "I'm clearly not a very clever person."
  59. 01[19:59] <Cazador> "Like I said, not my business to care, but there's a lot of people out there whose business IS to care."
  60. [19:59] <Fomor> "Right. You won't tell, will you?"
  61. 01[19:59] <Cazador> "Why would I?"
  62. [20:03] <Fomor> "...I shouldn't give you reasons TO tell." She gives a small smile though. "Thanks."
  63. 06[20:03] * Cazador shrugs.
  64. 06[20:04] * Cazador finishes her noodles. "Anyway, you wanted gun tips right?"
  65. 06[20:05] * Fomor nods "Yeah and I think I've done plenty of ranting so far."
  66. 01[20:05] <Cazador> "Alright, you drive here?"
  67. 02[20:06] * Odin ([email protected]) Quit (Ping timeout)
  68. [20:08] <Fomor> "I took a taxi." She shakes her head. "I have my licence but I don't have a car yet. I should likely buy one."
  69. 01[20:08] <Cazador> "Probably. Here, I'll drive us out."
  70. 06[20:08] * Cazador pays and heads outside to her motorcycle.
  71. 06[20:09] * Fomor follows her. "...I was supposed to pay for that."
  72. 01[20:10] <Cazador> "Elves so goddamn stuck up about rules and shit."
  73. [20:12] <Fomor> "The path I follow is the most rule following, no fun of them all." She smiles slightly.
  74. 06[20:14] * Cazador hops on her motorcycle and fishes the keys out. "Get on."
  75. 06[20:15] * Fomor hops on behind her, holding on to Caz.
  76. 01[20:16] <Cazador> "Hold on tight, cause if you fall I'm gonna laugh at you." She wheels it out and hits the road.
  77. 06[20:18] * Fomor does as instructed, nodding and worrying about Caz's driving
  78. 01[20:19] <Cazador> In far, far less time than they should have, the two reach a more abandoned section of sprawl north of Ontario.
  79. 06[20:19] * Fomor has gone very white. She was already that but now she really does look like Quadcore's sister.
  80. 01[20:23] <Cazador> "This should be a good spot. Nobody's running this area. At least, as far as I know."
  81. 06[20:25] * Fomor nods "So you won't have to worry about being seen with an elf?"
  82. 01[20:26] <Cazador> "More we won't get thirty boys comin to see who's shooting up their territory."
  83. 01[20:26] <Cazador> "Here."
  84. 06[20:26] * Cazador tosses one of her Pred IVs to Fomor
  85. 06[20:28] * Fomor catches it carefully. She doesn't try to aim it at anything, treating it like a live grenade.
  86. 01[20:28] <Cazador> "Let's start with something simple. Pick out some rubble, aim, shoot. Oh, and remember to turn the safety off."
  87. [20:30] <Fomor> "The safety is...umm...is it electronic or physical? I know Siobhan's rifle has a little switch thing on the side for that..." She looks over it carefully. She's at least smart enough not to point it at anything stupidly.
  88. 01[20:31] <Cazador> "Physical, the little lever by your thumb there."

  92. 06[20:34] * Fomor nods and pushes it. "Alright. So then just aim and fire?" She's holding it one handed like Caz.
  93. 01[20:35] <Cazador> "Yep. And try to not let it come back and whack you in the face."
  94. [20:35] <Fomor> "That can happen?"
  95. 01[20:35] <Cazador> "The gun itself, sure."
  96. [20:37] <Fomor> "Right." She nods and takes a shot. It's not a terrible shot, she's got good hand eye coordination. On the other hand, a one handed grip clearly doesn't work for her. She's soon holding her hand and wincing at the pain. So it's not really a good shot either.
  97. [20:48] <Fomor> At least she didn't drop the gun or shoot anything living.
  98. 06[20:49] * Cazador laughs. "Might need two hands there, girl. That or hit the gym and do some benches."
  99. 06[20:49] * Fomor nods. "It kicks like a unicorn." The girl doesn't seem to like unicorns.
  100. 06[20:51] * Cazador shrugs. "Don't know much about em."
  101. [20:52] <Fomor> "It's a big horse that's full of itself because it's got a spike on it's head." She takes a two handed stance. It's not good but she's trying.
  102. 01[20:53] <Cazador> "Spread your legs, your stance is too narrow."
  103. 06[20:55] * Fomor nods, following instructions. She squeezes off another shot. This time she doesn't end up wincing and teary eyed so it's improvement at least.
  104. 01[21:01] <Cazador> "That's a little better. You'll be pretty good at killing concrete chunks at this rate."
  105. [21:01] <Fomor> "You know, the fact that golems exist makes that almost sound useful." She smiles at Caz. "Thank you."
  106. 01[21:03] <Cazador> "Don't thank me yet, you still suck at this."
  107. 01[21:03] <Cazador> "Again."
  108. 06[21:05] * Fomor nods taking a breath and a shot.
  109. 02[21:05] * Xiaozhi ([email protected]) Quit (Ping timeout)

  111. 01[21:07] <Cazador> "That's a little better. Keep firing til you hear clicks."
  112. 06[21:08] * Fomor does so, taking shot after shot until the mag is empty.
  113. 01[21:08] <Cazador> "Alright, that's thirteen. How's it feel?"
  114. 03[21:08] * Xiaozhi ([email protected]) has joined #seattle72
  115. 03[21:09] * CelestialDoggie ([email protected]) has joined #seattle72
  116. [21:09] <Fomor> "I feel like jelly and my wrist still hurts from that first shot." She looks over to Caz
  117. 01[21:10] <Cazador> "That's about what it's like, yeah."
  118. 06[21:11] * Fomor nods. "Right. I've never shot a gun before this. Hope I wasn't embarassingly bad."
  119. 01[21:12] <Cazador> "Only a little."
  120. [21:12] <Fomor> "Right. Thanks a lot."
  121. 01[21:14] <Cazador> "No problem."
  122. 01[21:14] <Cazador> "If you're looking to pick up one of your own, I know a guy."
  123. 06[21:16] * Fomor nods "Maybe when I'm more confident I won't hurt my own team with it." She draws her hand crossbow out of her hand bag. "Until then, this works pretty well."
  124. 01[21:16] <Cazador> "Alright, your call. Guess I'll take you somewhere that taxis will actually drive to."
  125. [21:19] <Fomor> "Thanks. If I can ever return the favor...I'm honestly not sure what I know that you'd like to learn." She shrugs.
  126. 01[21:19] <Cazador> "Probably nothing. But whatever."
  127. [21:20] <Fomor> "Somehow I didn't think 'Violin' or 'Elvish Alcohol' were high on your list of interests." She gives a small smile
  128. 01[21:20] <Cazador> "Yeah pretty much. C'mon."
  129. 06[21:20] * Cazador heads back to her motorcycle.
  130. 06[21:20] * Fomor heads back with her.
  131. 06[21:21] * Cazador takes the gun and puts it in her holster. "Hang on."
  132. 06[21:21] * Fomor does as instructed
  133. 06[21:22] * Cazador drives back to a more 'civilized' part of town.
  134. 06[21:24] * Fomor gets off when the bike finally comes to stop. "Thanks Caz. This was actually pretty fun."
  135. 01[21:24] <Cazador> "Yup. Catch you later."
  136. 06[21:24] * Cazador speeds off.
  137. 06[21:25] * Fomor scratches her head. "That was less terrifying than I though it would be." She heads off to catch a cab.
