Since then, his life seemed limited and his dream of hiking the terrains of the famous and beautiful Grand Canyon in Arizona is close to impossible. How could a person who can't even walk try to hike the Grand Canyon?
- Well, Bob's loving family unanimously agreed to pursue the long-overdue dream of dear old Bob—to hike the famous Grand Canyon! His three sons and eight grandsons effortlessly took turns in carrying Bob while seated on his wheelchair. Without any hesitation and complaint, each one did their own share of effort. The rocky, steep terrain wasn't a hindrance for the Headings children and grandchildren, they hiked the trails of the Grand Canyon carrying his wheelchair each step of the way!
- John Honaker filmed this heartwarming moment. In the video, Bob's grandson, Jase Headings said “It’s basically another step showing people that they can do anything with even the greatest obstacles.”
