Covet: -Cadence was sitting in the car watching the road go by as they drove up to the lake. She had a bag in her hand with Remy's gift in it, held to her chest, so that he couldn't see the front of her sweatshirt, because she did't want to ruin the surprise for him until he opened his.-  Been a while since I've been out here....
Tsaaq: "Yeah..." Remy trailed off as he put the car in park. "Okay show me this gift thing, I know I probably don't deserve it." He grumbled and slouched in the driver's seat keeping his hands on the wheel before looking over to Cadence.
Covet: -Cadence handed the back over to him- You do too deserve it. It's nothing big, just something small. It made me think of you, and plus it matches mine. -she told him handing him over the bag, talking to him softly-
Tsaaq: He took the bag and shook it a little then sighed. "Okay." Remy murmured before pulling out the hoodie and smirking a little. "What the-" He started to say before cracking a smile. "Where the hell did you find this?" Remy chuckled and leaned over to give her a kiss and snuck a peek at her hoodie now. "We're one of those couples now?" He asked as he pulled off his sweater to actually put the shit on.
Covet: -She looked down and over at him, giving him a soft grin, that spread when he gave her a kiss on the cheek.-  I suppose so...by default, but when they had our nicknames on them for eachother, I couldn't resist.  -she told him, then pulled him in for a kiss once he had his sweatshirt on.-
Tsaaq: "I'd be lying if I said I didn't like it though, thanks babe." Remy smirked at her and let his lips linger on hers a moment longer before pulling away. "Sorry about this I know this isn't how you want to spend your Valentine's day and shit..." He sighed as he finally got out of the car, opening the back passenger door to grab a bag of shit then waited for Cadence.
Covet: You're very welcome, hun.  -she told him, then gave a shrug- Hey, I have every other day of the year to do all that fancy schmancy  romance shit. This is about something bigger. -She got out of the other side and made her way to the back of the vehicle, seeing the bag of things- So what's all this?
Tsaaq: He sighed a bit then headed for the dunes so they could walk towards the dock. "Some forties, of couse." He answered as he pulled out one of the large malt liquor bottle. "A letter or speech I wrote I guess..." Remy mumbled then looked over to Cadence. "And twenty three paper lanterns." He stumbled a bit in the sand. "And I have a blunt I rolled in my pocket that I hope isn't ruined by now."
Covet: -Cadence smiled and walked with him over the sand to the docks- Sounds like a great way to honor her. I love the paper lantern idea. -she told him, sliding hand into his as they walked, happy to be there to support him.-
Tsaaq: "She would've been twenty three if she was alive so... I thought it'd be nice." Remy said with a small frown forming on his lips, sighing as he sat the bag down and pulled our a forty for himself and then handed one to Cadence. "They taste like shit I know but, whatever." He shrugged and twisted his open and poured some of it on the dock FOR HIS HOMIE before taking a sip.
Covet: Very nice. -she told him, then took the forty from him- Eh, it's not tequila. I can handle it  -she cracked open the bottle and did the same pouring some out, before tipping it back taking a big swing and stifling a burp afterwords-  I think this is the first time I've ever had a forty.
Tsaaq: Remy put his down and went to fiddle with his lighter and tried to open up the first latern. "Really? They're so cheap." He said as he flicked his lighter a few times before scoffing cause wind once it was finally lit he let it float away from the dock and went to do that for the NEXT TWENTY TWO LANTERNS UGH WORK. "Jay was 'hood' so. I figured it was her to have these..." He trailed off. "You know, her and Hayley saved me from this dealer I worked for. I mean I don't think he was going to kill me but they're the only reason my asshole is still in tact." Remy chuckled, sending off the next lantern.
Covet: -Cadence chuckled and watched him, kneeling down on the dock out of the way of the puddles of booze they'd spilt-  It's the thought that counts.  -she listened to him retell the story- Really? That's actually pretty bad ass. Despite the fact that her and I had our issues...and she's pretty much the reason I sat Lucicrisp on fire Fresman year....I'm sad I didn't get to know her better, because she was such a bad ass.
Tsaaq: "She was..." He nodded and did another lantern just watching then float near the lake. "You want to do one?" Remy asked as he handed her one so he could take a break to drink. "I know a lot of people didn't like her but, I never cared. To me we were two sides of the same coin y'know?" He said with a small nod as he took a long drink from the forty. "Besides Lucius turned out to be a fuck anyways. I told you he cheated on Bliss with Santana right?" Remy rose his eyebrow at her.
Covet: Sure, I'd love to. -she took one from him and lit it, sending it on it's way.-  Yeah...I think people not liking her, not understanding her is what made shit so bad. People suck. -she said softly taking another drink from her bottle, then looked at Remy- Yeah...you told me...That's....-she shook her head- that's fucked up. He treated Bliss like such shit.
Tsaaq: Remy shook his head and scoffed a bit. "He was shit." He mumbled then sat on the edge of the dock, fiddling with another lantern. "You know, Jay was... She was the best friend I ever had." Remy began to say, sighing as he sent the next one off and stared at the sky to see his work so far. "I haven't had a friend like her before, she was... She was so loyal. Like she was an asshole but I knew there was no one in the world who'd be more loyal to me. And I blew it. Cause of fucking Justin, and we all know how that turned out." Remy frowned, getting choked up. "And I keep trying to find that friendship again but it doesn't work y'know? Like, I am never going to meet anyone like that again. I know it. She was my best friend.
Covet: -Cadence leaned over and rubbed his back a bit, hearing the change in his voice as he kept talking about Jay, biting the inside of her lip- Wait...what did Justin have to do with Blowing things with Jay? I mean...He's a fuck and fucked up lots of things for people. -she got quiet not sure what to say about finding another friend like Jay, then spoke after a little bit, taking another lantern-  She was one of a kind.
Tsaaq: "All the bright precious things fade so fast... And they don't come back." He muttered the quote from The Great Gatsby ((of course.)) and pushed up from the dock so he could finish sending off the lanterns. "So remember when she drove into AGD? Well when the cops came, they found weed. Justin was the one who was like 'Oh just say it was Jay's' even though I knew we were smoking it and she got the drug charge instead of us. And... When she found out I did that she was so hurt and I think that's why she killed herself... And I was supposed to be her friend. I couldn't even talk to her or face her I felt so guilty I-" Remy cut himself off and sighed. "I never told anybody about this..." He muttered.
Covet: Wow....I didn't realize that Justin was that big of a fuck.....and you still turned around and tried to help him with that shit with Devin. That's disgusting. -she frowned feeling uneasy about Justin and everything that loserface has done-  I didn't realize you had this kind of weight on your shoulders. -she frowned and leaned into him a bit for comfort- I'm so sorry, Babe.
Tsaaq: He shook his head. "I've always blamed myself, because I know it was my fault that I lost her. I was being selfish... I guess that's the reason I started using so much, one of them anyways." Remy trailed off then sighed. He let the last latern go up in the air and he pulled out the blunt he rolled. "I've made a to of mistakes and now somebody who I really cared about is gone cause of them..." He looked up at the sky. "I don't really believe in heaven or hell but I do hope that maybe in another existence we cross paths and I'll be better. I promise I will be." Remy whispered then lit the blunt and took a pull.
Covet: I don't think anyone blames you, we're all make choices we wish we could go back and change. -Cadence sat there and listened to him, her eyes watering up a bit because she'd never seen him quite like this. She took another drink from her bottle, knowing there wasn't a whole lot she could say to change how he felt towards the matter, looking up at the stars with him-
Tsaaq: Remy could feel himself tear up but he tried to man up, clearing his throat cause he knew if Jay were here she'd tell him to stop crying like a bitch. "You want some?" He asked her as he went to hand her the blunt, clearing his throat again cause emotions.
Covet: Sure. -she took the joint from him and took a hit off of it, holding it in before exhaling and handing it back, giving him a soft smile, her eyes glassy already from tears as she swallowed the lump in her throat- I can only imagine what she'd have to say on the crazy shit that's happened without her. -trying to lighten up the mood a bit-
Tsaaq: He went to try and polish off the rest of his forty and looked over to her. "She'd probably be just as over it as I am right now." Remy sighed a little. "Or glad that she doesn't have to deal with Portland fuckery anymore." He shrugged.
Covet: True...-she said taking another drink from her bottle while Remy downed his. Cadence went back to being quiet looking up at the stars, glancing over at him-
Tsaaq: Remy looked over at Cadence and took the blunt, taking a long pull as he forced a smile. "We totally did it, and it was awful." He started to burst into laughter. "I told the bitch 'you're gay, you're not going to like this' and she wouldn't listen and I was right."
Covet: -She laughed- Wait, how did that come about, if she's gay? I mean..I'm sure if she was straight, she would have enjoyed it. I've never heard anyone complain about your sex before. But was she just double checking to make sure she wasn't into the penis at all?
Tsaaq: "I think so, I just so happened to be the person she decided to experiment with." He shrugged his shoulders. "It was always when she was on molly suddenly she was ready to give dick a try it was always me who had to tell her she was gay over and over. Back then it made me mad but it's kind of hilarious now that I think about it..." He smirked. "It also doesn't help that I stuck it in her pooper, pretty sure that didn't help." Remy shook his head at himself.
Covet: -Cadence chuckled softly- At least she felt comfortable enough to experiment with you. -she turned her head- I can honestly say I feel her pain there. I mean, it's good now...but that first time...yeah.
Tsaaq: He laughed and shoved her gently before standing up, finishing off the blunt. "Am I good to drive?" He asked as he waved his hands over his face a moment then looked over to Cadence putting his arm around her waist. "How do you ever deal with this sadsack, you ever just look at me and think 'god this sad fuck is my boyfriend'?" He asked her.

Covet: -she told him, then wrapped her arms around him resting her head into his chest, then looked up at him with a smile- Honestly? No, I never have. I've always looked at you and wondered how can I help make you happy. Even when you were mad at me, and we were arguing...and I was frustrated with you. It hurt more that I had made you unhappy.
Tsaaq: Remy placed his hand on her head as she stroked her hair. He stared down at her for a moment before kissing her forehead. "Well... If it weren't for you I'd probably would just be crying and on the verge of relapsing again but after doing this, I feel pretty good." Remy said softly to her as he took one more glance at the now distant lanterns then back at her. "And Sasha will be fine, he can't drive anyways he wouldn't know if we fucked something up." He wrapped his arms around her shoulders and walked towards the parking lot with her.
Covet: -She smiled and leaned into his kiss and touch, squeezing him tight again looking back over the water-  I'm glad, and happy to have been here for you, for this. We can do this again next year, Fuck Valentines Day...This is Jay Rememberance Day. -she told him then walked back to the car with him-  We won't break anything, it's not like we can speed out of here like in the Lambo.
