Chapter 8 Key plot points:

- Talulah is Koschei's heir, and she turned this way because of his influence/Arts. The "Deathless Black Snake" (Koschei's true persona in a sense) lives inside her.

- Before Talulah killed Koschei, he told her that if she ever doubts her goals and ideals, that if she ever comes to understand him, then the "seed" he planted will sprout, and she will become him.

* "The Black Snake walks with you, this immortal will won't ever die."

- A group of her followers betrayed her, her closest friend was killed because the shielders didn't want her to give food to the deserters, and after finding out that some villagers killed a group of helpless infected just because it was "convenient", she broke and burned the village down.

- In the present time, Amiya/Rosmontis team up with Patriot's Shielders to reach the control tower, and they realize that many Reunion members here are Ursus soldiers in disguise.

- Doc and Kal reach the Sarcophagus, where Mephisto has turned completely into a bird-like creature. We kill him (in the easter egg ending where you let him in the blue box, Kal treats him, but he's doomed to die soon regardless) and shut off the Sarcophagus.

- Some important reveals:

* The Sarcophagus is a "household medical device", and erasing memories isn't what it was supposed to do.

* Kal put us in after we were severely wounded.

* We killed Theresa.

- We remember a woman holding our hand as she's putting us in the Sarcophagus, and tells us not to forget her. We also remember a name—Priestess (phonetic translation).

* Kal is visibly surprised when you mention that name.

- Amiya reaches the control tower where Ch'en is already facing Talulah. She tells Ch'en that if Ch'en gets killed, then Talulah will die.

* Amiya: "When Talulah stabbed you, you should've died. There's no place for you in this land."Talulah?: "A rabbit that reads minds... I never thought about this. Even if you can read minds, you shouldn't know. Where did you hear this rumor from?"

Amiya: "Am I reading minds? You've always boasted of protecting yourself against mental Arts, Duke Koschei."

- Amiya learns Chixiao by reading Ch'en's memories, they defeat Talulah/The Black Snake, and the real Talulah regains control of her body. W comes in with Chernobog's key and stops the city.

- Rhodes Island takes Talulah away, Ch'en comes onboard Rhodes. Turns out the Rat King and Wei's raincoats didn't let the slum purge happen. Crownslayer went to Siracusa. Nine leads the rest of Reunion away. A very wounded Mostima pays Wei a visit.

- Happy end. Yay.
