  1. >One long winded explanation later, you have a few answers, but not the ones you're looking for
  2. >The first immortal was said to have unlocked the secret of eternity after discovering the place it later painted
  3. >Legend holds that it gave the gift of immortality to two beings, who became the first alicorns
  4. >Then it vanished without a trace
  5. >Many tales exist as to what happened to it, many focusing on a battle with a being of destruction; of the void
  6. >There were even some who claim that in its vanishing, it left a piece of itself behind, in case it returned
  7. >But these folk tales were from before the crystal empire
  8. >However they originated, the only piece remaining to support the legend was the painting before you
  9. >It was treated like a relic before it too vanished into legend
  10. >Looking at it now fills you with a sense of awe and mystery
  11. >If this really is the original, it's beyond priceless
  12. >Then you remember why you ventured here
  13. >You walk over to the nightstand, and just like before, there's a picture
  14. >It shows you and a certain unicorn in front of this very castle
  15. >You look happy in it
  16. >You show it to Chrysalis, and she looks shocked
  17. That's... You...?
  18. >You can only nod and set the picture back down
  19. >Then a thought strikes you
  20. >If this really was once your room in your own castle, then you would have made a secret passage
  21. >And it would be directly under the center of the bed
  22. >...
  23. >Sure enough, there's a trapdoor, right where you'd always wanted one
  24. >You enter down it, climbing down a ladder
  25. >When you reach the bottom, you grope around for a light switch
  26. >...
  27. *click*
  28. >You find it, and a vast room opens up before you
  29. >Full of whiteboards, tables, and drawn posters
  30. >And an open door on the far end, flooded with light and too far to see out of
  31. >You wish that was it
  32. >All the whiteboards were smeared and splattered in blood
  33. >Papers were everywhere but on the tables, thrown everywhere from a struggle
  34. >Between the tears and bloodstains on the posters, it was impossible to discern what was on them past some sort of design contained in a circle
  35. >You walk down the room, icy fear gripping you tightly
  36. >If you wanted to scream, you probably couldn't
  37. >So you walk further down the long room
  38. >The same thing is around you
  39. >Blood and signs of a struggle
  40. >Some of the whiteboards were cracked in half
  41. >You reach the door, and outside is the Crystal Empire gardens
  42. >The fear and panic still have a hold on you, but you wonder how it looks from the other side
  43. >This door may well be hidden in a hedge
  44. >Shaking your head, you decide to go back to Chrysalis and get away from this place
  45. >When you do, you look to the right
  46. >There, in the corner away from the door, is a body
  47. >It sat slumped over, and had a streak of bloodstained floor in front of it
  48. >You start trembling from the fear now
  49. >But something compels you to get a closer look
  50. >Maybe it was because the body looked human
  51. >You get closer and start to notice things
  52. >Like the fact that it was a human
  53. >And its clothes looked familiar
  54. >But the final shock didn't come until you get close enough to see the face
  55. >That's when you try to scream
  56. >You try, but no sound comes out
  57. >Shaking violently, you do your best to run away, falling over many times in the process
  58. >You don't even look at where you're going, and run into a dumbfounded Queen Chrysalis
  59. >She looks down at you, and immediately backs up
  60. >Which is good, because now she's out of the way
  61. >You race up the ladder and back into the bedroom, where the bed had been moved over into the corner
  62. >You scramble onto the bad, and back yourself into the corner, curling up into a ball
  63. Nononononononono
  64. >You mutter to yourself
  65. >It's all you can think
  66. >What you saw was just so...
  67. >Wrong
  68. >How can it be true??
  69. >It can't
  70. >It can't be you
  71. >It's wrong
  72. >Wrong, wrong wrong
  73. >That can't be you down there
  74. >You're here
  75. Nonononononono.....
