  1. Chapter 15.
  2. >The next few days are spent researching the changeling political situation, trying to actually get some brain cells working for once (Sudoku and crosswords every night before bed), dreaming about Twilight and trying to find out what the buck that annoying Weathering Heights dream means.
  3. >You think you have an idea but it is so far out you usually just dismiss it.
  4. >Today though you have had enough of this shit so you walk down to the royal library to find some answers.
  5. >You go the ´dreaming wing`, because they totally have one of those, and find a book about dreams and symbols in dreams.
  6. >You sit down at a nearby desk and open the book.
  7. >Fairies… Ferrets… Fornication… Friends… Fruits… oh wait ´Friends` that’s the one you’re looking for.
  8. >It doesn’t say anything you can actually use for anything.
  9. >You try beach, sunset, mare, running and a shit load of other stuff in your dream.
  10. >Eventually you throw the book from you in rage.
  11. >You realise you still need to use it and get off your chair to go pick it up.
  12. >You sit down again only to find the princess of the night sitting across from you.
  13. >Luna: “Trouble sleeping?”
  14. >This is a bit awkward.
  15. >You haven’t spoken since she came home to you and picked her dangerously intoxicated sister up.
  16. >You decide you could use some help.
  17. “Actually I have no trouble sleeping but I keep having this weird dream.”
  18. >She tilts her head a little to the side. “What is it about?”
  19. >Kind of a private matter but if you want her help you have to let her know.
  20. “Well it goes like this:”
  21.
  22. “I am on a beach late afternoon, the sun is setting and a few birds fly over me far above.”
  23. >She motions for you to continue.
  24. “I start running forward and I take a look to the side to take in the view of the bright yellows and oranges on the sky far off in the distant horizon. Then I hear somep0ny or well someone call my name. At first I didn’t know who it was but I have begun to recognise the voice as Twilight Sparkle’s. Do you know Twilight?”
  25. >Luna: “Yes, we have met a few times.”
  26. “Good. Okay so I keep running on this beach until I reach Twilight. I hug her like if I would never let her go. The thing is she started out being a regular female human but she turns more p0nylike every night, she is almost a spitting image of Twilight Sparkle herself now. Anyway she starts talking to me. She says things like: ‘I have something I need to tell you.’ And ‘Something I have felt for a long time.’ Before she reveals what is the dream ends.”
  27. >You take a deep breath.
  28. “What do you think it means?”
  29. >The princess takes her time before finally answering.
  30. >Luna: “What do you think it means?”
  31. >You only have that feeling in your stomach and your crazy idea to go by.
  32. >But it’s better than nothing.
  33. “I think it means that I…” You pause and think for a moment if you should be telling Luna this. “I think I may have feelings for my friend.”
  34. >Now that you’ve said it out loud it doesn’t sound so ridiculous.
  35. >Luna: “There you have it, the meaning of your dream.”
  36. >She rises and walks over to the Starswirl the bearded wing.
  37.
  38.
  39. >Is this good or bad?
  40. >Twilight is your closest friend.
  41. >What if she doesn’t feel the same way about you?
  42. >It can possibly ruin your friendship if she doesn’t feel the same way.
  43. >Worst case scenario she’ll be disgusted by you and never talk to you again.
  44. >But if she does like you, you could be the luckiest man in the world.
  45. >You’re the only man in this world.
  46. >Shut it brain.
  47. >You are sure of one thing.
  48. >It will change your friendship forever if you tell her.
  49. >It’s probably for the best if you don’t tell her.
  50. >You stay in the library for a few more hours researching changeling history your mind is still on Twilight though.
  51. >You can’t believe you didn’t realise it before.
  52. >You think back to all the time you have spent together.
  53. >Right now one in particular is in the front of your mind.
  54.
  55. >You and Twilight walked down the street books in hand.
  56. >She asked you if you wanted to go to the park with her.
  57. >You love parks.
  58. >Thinking back to that event you remember how you had actually felt when you walked with her.
  59. >You felt happy and warm inside.
  60. >It’s funny.
  61. >At the time you didn’t notice it you just thought it was a general happiness from being around your friends.
  62. >After you arrived at the park you sat down under a tree and opened your books.
  63. >You read your Grimoire as usual and she ´A Mare’s Guide To Romance.`
  64. >At the time you had felt a little saddened by her choice of book.
  65. >You had wondered who she wanted to score.
  66. >You were jealous.
  67. >You didn’t know why so you had dismissed it at the time.
  68. >But now you know.
  69. >Looking at it in retrospect is an interesting experience.
  70.
  71. >You look back at another experience before you had spent the night with Twilight.
  72. >Twilight came back from her trip to Zecora.
  73. >You never understood all of her rhyming and voodooing but if Twilight wanted her advice on something you would never stop her from going over to her friend.
  74. >You had Spike to keep you company.
  75. >You try and look back at your feelings about Twilight at that time and find nothing.
  76. >Instead of trying to dig deeper for something that isn’t there you pick another event, one more resent.
  77. >You walked down the stairs to Twilight’s basement, your old room.
  78. >You saw all of your stuff packed in small boxes.
  79. >You frowned at first but realised that Twilight didn’t want you out of the house but had packed your things so you wouldn’t have to do all of the work.
  80. >You tried that levitation spell you had practiced while in the hospital.
  81. >All of the boxes slowly take off.
  82. >You felt a little pride at your skills and picked one of the boxes out from the air.
  83. >You walked up the stairs to say goodbye to Twilight and Spike.
  84. >Twilight was sitting on a chair in the kitchen.
  85. >Now that you think back you remember how beautiful she looked bathed in the sunlight of the early morning coming through the window.
  86. >You wished you could stay with her.
  87. >Something that had taken you aback at the time.
  88. >You asked yourself ´why do I want to stay here when I have my own house?`
  89. >You chuckle at yourself.
  90. >You always thought you knew yourself well.
  91. >That same day you had woken up with Twilight in your arms.
  92. >In that moment a little seed had taken hold within your heart.
  93. >Today that flower of love had finally blossomed.
  94.
  95. >But enough of this romantic, poetic, pseudo-philosophical nonsense you need to get back to work.
  96. >And after three days of hard work you have finally come up with an idea.
  97. >You just have to write a new treaty, present it to Kardarad and get him to sign it.
  98. >It would have to contain generous amounts of ass-licking.
  99. >These changelings want to start a war so you better give them something good.
  100. >You think for a moment on how to best avoid any loopholes and then you get writing.
  101. >You write for five hours before you are satisfied with your work.
  102. >You are tired, hungry and you need to go to the bathroom but you are done.
  103. >You are finally ready for the changeling ambassador.
  104. >You pack your things up and run to the toilet to take a massive dump.
  105. >After that you go out in the garden where you have agreed to meet with Celestia.
  106. >She is wearing clothes for once.
  107. >A beautiful red dress with golden silk like edges, the colours match your robes’ perfectly.
  108. “You’re wearing a dress what’s the occasion?” you ask as you approach the princess.
  109. >Cel: “Ahh, Anonymous.” She turns her head in your direction. “I just felt like wearing a dress. Care to join me for dinner?”
  110. “Of course.”
  111. >You are so hungry you could eat a horse.
  112. >Never mind.
  113. >You don’t eat meat anymore.
  114.
  115. >You walk beside each other down the hallways of the caste chit-chatting and talking about everything except work.
  116. >You find that weird but you just roll with it.
  117. >You sit down in the dining hall it’s empty save for you two.
  118. >Cel: “So how was your day?” Celestia seems as interested in starting conversation as usual.
  119. “It was good, I spoke with your sister in the library and I studied some changeling history and politics.”
  120. >You deliberately avoid talking about your revelation since it might put you in a bad light with Celestia if you tell her you intend to date her ´most faithful student`.
  121. “Which reminds me.” You pull out the new Treaty of Canterlot from underneath your robes. “I have something I think you might want to read.”
  122. >She reads it out loud to herself going over every point and paragraph.
  123. >She gives it back to you with a smile and tells you that it is going to be a cakewalk getting peace secured with this treaty.
  124. >You can’t help but feel proud of yourself.
  125. >You eat with a big smile on your face eagerly engaging in conversation with the sun-goddess.
  126. >The food is great and the drinks even better.
  127. >The night flies by as you sit there talking for at least three hours.
  128. >After dessert Celestia asks you if you want to see her lower the sun.
  129. >Of course you say yes, magic of such unimaginable power would be awesome to watch.
  130. >You reach Celestia’s room and she takes place outside on her balcony.
  131. >You watch her as she takes a deep breath and closes her eyes to better concentrate.
  132. >Her horn glows and the sun starts to descent beyond the horizon.
  133. >It’s a beautiful sight.
  134.
  135. >When the night has come you turn to leave Celestia, but you feel something gently tug at your robe.
  136. >Celestia is magically holding a bottle of scotch and two glasses.
  137. >Cel: “Why don’t you stay for a while? The night is still young.”
  138. >Why the buck not?
  139. >You sit down on a large sofa in a designated ‘lounge’ area in Celestia’s large apartment.
  140. >Celelstia sits down right beside you.
  141. >She hoofs you a glass and takes a large sip of her own.
  142. >Luna’s warning about the so called ´Molestia` springs to mind.
  143. >You ignore it and take a sip of your own drink.
  144. >Cel: “Are you not nervous for tomorrow, Anonymous?”
  145. >Tomorrow the Ambassador will arrive.
  146. >You are not nervous.
  147. >You are terrified; the fate of Equestria lies in your hands.
  148. “Not at all.”
  149. >No need to upset Celestia.
  150. >Cel: “I’m not going to lie to you I have my concerns about tomorrow.”
  151. >She shuffles a bit in the sofa and changes her position so she is facing you directly.
  152. >Cel: “I am not sure if you can handle it. You have never had anything to do with politics before, so this is the last chance you have of backing out. Are you sure you want to take my place and negotiate with Kardarad?”
  153. >You may be terrified at the prospect of political negotiations but you know that at this point few creatures in Equestria are better suited for this task than you.
  154. >You place a hand on Celestia’s shoulder.
  155. “I am completely sure.”
  156. >The lit fireplace nearby casts a warm glow on Celestia’s face.
  157. >It makes her look quite beautiful.
  158. >You don’t want to repeat what happened with… No wait, what DIDN’T happen with Rainbow Dash.
  159. >You move a little away from her.
  160.
  161. “I hope I made the right choice.”
  162. >The thought of Equestria brought to its knees because of you… It brings you down.
  163. >Bad vibes, man.
  164. >Cel: “Me too.”
  165. >It makes sense for her to be a little uneasy about having a non-pony as the representative of Equestria.
  166. >Oh for the love of Luna, can’t you stop thinking politics for one measly second?
  167. >For a long time you just sit and sip on your drinks in silence.
  168. >You decide it’s about time you go back to your own room and get some sleep.
  169. “Well this has been fun but I think…”
  170. >You don’t get to finish.
  171. >Celestia’s lips on yours prevent you from speaking.
  172. >They are surprisingly soft.
  173. >You look over at the bottle of scotch.
  174. >It’s empty.
  175. >You only had one glass.
  176. >Celestia does taste like alcohol.
  177. >You would rather it was Twilight.
  178. >What are you thinking? Twilight and you are best friends.
  179. >The chances of her liking you are minimal.
  180. >You close your eyes and wrap your arms around Celestia.
  181.
  182. >You open your mouth and let your tongue into her mouth.
  183. >Your tongues engage in a dance of saliva and problematic breathing.
  184. >You run your hand through her ethereal mane.
  185. >It’s impossibly soft.
  186. >Wonder what Twilight’s mane feels like.
  187. >Focus Anon!
  188. >You move your head away from hers.
  189. >A thin like of spit connects your mouths.
  190. >You both take a deep breath.
  191. >You move down to her neck.
  192. >You kiss her neck and you can feel Celestia shivering under your touch as you move your hand down her back.
  193. >She moans as you pinch Twilight’s flank.
  194. >No, Celestia.
  195. >You meant Celestia.
  196. >Whatever, you want this.
  197. >You need this.
  198. >You kiss her again.
  199. >Your tongue swirls around inside her mouth.
  200. >Celestia looks conflicted about this.
  201. >In all honesty you are conflicted yourself.
  202. >You want to be with Twilight not Celestia.
  203. >You have to end this.
  204. >To your surprise you aren’t the one to break the kiss.
  205.
  206. >You let his tongue enter your mouth.
  207. >You may have drunk a little too much but you would be lying if you said you didn’t want him when you were sober.
  208. >Liquid courage just helps things along.
  209. >Your tongue flicks against his.
  210. >Anonymous may be a ´human` but his kissing is like a stallion’s.
  211. >No scratch that, he is a much better kisser than a stallion.
  212. >His hand runs through your mane.
  213. >You have not been with somep0ny for far too long.
  214. >He breaks the kiss.
  215. >You take a deep breath before going in for more.
  216. >You miss him completely as he goes for your neck.
  217. >Holy Gamoly.
  218. >That feels great!
  219. >Anon’s hands slowly trails down your back.
  220. >You think back to a letter you got a few days ago from Twilight.
  221. >She misses him.
  222. >You shouldn’t be doing this.
  223. >Yes you should.
  224. >Anon’s hand grasp your flank.
  225. “Uhnn.”
  226. >You can’t believe that was you.
  227. >His tongue invades your mouth again.
  228. >You want him so bad.
  229. >You could easily do this.
  230. >Take him from Twilight.
  231. >You would if it was anyp0ny BUT Twilight.
  232. >You don’t want her heart broken.
  233. >You reluctantly break the kiss and gently push Anon away.
  234.
  235. >Cel: “I can’t do this.”
  236. >What?
  237. >She can’t do this?
  238. >That was what you were about to say.
  239. >Cel: “Not to you, not to Twilight.”
  240. >Wait, Twilight?
  241. “What do you mean?”
  242. >Celestia produces a letter out of thin air. “Twilight wrote a letter to me the other day about you.” She says with her head hanging and a heavy blush on her cheeks.
  243. >She feels guilty for not showing you.
  244. >Cel: “She asked for my help to bring you back to her.”
  245. >You hope this means what you think it means.
  246. >Cel: “She loves you, Anonymous.”
  247. >YES!
  248. >Cel: “With all of her heart.”
  249. >This is too good to be true.
  250. “I should just see myself out.”
  251. >You stand up and walk out of the room.
  252. >If you had listened closely you would have been able to hear the quiet sobs of the princess.
