It was just a scratch. A simple scratch, but noo, Gary just had to overreact about it. "You don't really know that it's NOT infected as you said," he'd yell whenever she protested about it. Anti felt frustrated about her predicament.

So here she was now, being carried bridal style by no other than Gary. "Gary, you can put me down now. There's nothing to worry about-!" Anti protested again for the umpteenth time.
"No can do, love."
"Gary--"
"Anti."

She stopped protesting. This was a first for her. He rarely called Anti with her actual name. It was always a nickname unless he was mad or serious.

"I just... I just don't want to risk losing another person dear to me again... Never again," Gary confessed before setting her down on a bench.

She didn't protest anymore, letting him do his work. Right, his parents...

"Thank you," he whispered so softly that she wouldn't have caught it if her attention wasn't focused on him.
