  1. GrandCores are special BakuCores not tied to Bakugan. They come in one of 6 colors (based on the 6 major factions) and are used alongside the normal BakuCores. A player must have (and can only have) 1 GrandCore in their deck. The GrandCore used has to match the faction of at least one Bakugan they have in their team. When setting up the Hide Matrix, the GrandCores are placed on the Matrix first and they are placed facing closer to the opponent than to the placer. GrandCores cannot be taken by Geogan at all. If a Geogan lands on a GrandCore, it is counted as a miss (this is for balance purposes).
  2.
  3. All Grandcores give +600 B Power and +6 Damage to the Bakugan who picked it up, and an additional effect not detailed on the core itself. This effect is based on its Faction (and detailed in hypothetical instructions). The additional effects have 2 parts, 1 applied regardless of the Bakugan’s faction and a bonus or buffed effect if the Bakugan who picked up the core matches the core’s Faction
  4.
  5. Pyrus (Orange) (Aura of Flames): The first flip card your opponent reveals as damage has its Energy Cost doubled. If the Bakugan that picked this core up is Pyrus your opponent's first flip card that is revealed cannot be played.
  6.
  7. Aurelius (Gold) (Force of Creation): Double the original B Power of the Bakugan that picked this core up for this battle only. If the Bakugan that picked this core up is also Aurelius, halve the opponent’s battling Bakugan’s original B Power for this battle only.
  8.
  9. Haos (Teal) (Light of Guidance): Flip and reveal 1 core in the outer Hide Matrix (except a GrandCore) and apply its bonuses to this Bakugan, flip it face down after this battle. If the Bakugan that picked up this core was Haos, attach the revealed core to this Bakugan instead of leaving it on the Hide Matrix and apply its bonuses. Return the core attached by this effect to the Hide Matrix after the battle concludes.
  10.
  11. Darkus (Purple) (Grasp of Abyss): Draw 1 card, then your opponent discards 2 cards (or as many as possible). If the Bakugan that picked this core up was Darkus, you draw 2 cards instead from this core's effect.
  12.
  13. Ventus (Green) (Breath of Nature): Take the top 2 cards of your Deck and put them into your Energy, and if the Bakugan that picked this core up was Ventus, take 1 card from your Discard Pile and put it in your Energy as well. (All cards put into the Energy as a result of this card go uncharged)
  14.
  15. Aquos (Blue) (Waves of Rejuvenation): Add 2 cards from your Discard Pile to your hand. If the Bakugan that picked this core up was Aquos and your opponent has 2 or more open Bakugan, you can retract one of the Bakugan that is not battling this Bakugan.
  16.
  17. A bonus effect from a GrandCore must be conducted (if possible), and a player can only be do so once in a game. If they obtain a second Grand Core, they only apply its printed bonuses and not the bonus effect. Once a GrandCore is picked up, at the conclusion of the battle, it is removed from the game and is not placed in the Hide Matrix again.
