  10. WHAT IS IT
  11. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________
  12.
  13. * You can add "drop preference" multiplier to map or maps of a region, making them more likely to drop when a map of a specific tier drops
  14. - This account for ALL maps of the same tier, not just maps of the same region
  15.
  16. * Up to 3 multiplier per region (so up to 24 total), and you can use all 3 multipliers however you want in that region
  17. - All 3 to one map
  18. - All 3 to different maps
  19. - 2 to one map, 1 to another
  20.
  21. * Each multiplier is a 10x, so you can make a map 30x more likely to drop over other maps of the same tier's base chance
  22. - This allows for insane amount of map drops in some circumstances
  23. * For example, if you only have 2 maps able to drop, their normal distribution would be 1/2 and 1/2
  24. - By using all 3 orbs to one of the maps, it now has 30x the chance to drop over the other map, meaning the new chances are now 30/31 and 1/31
  25.
  26. * You can switch very easily, for free
  27. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________
  28.
  29. HOW TO GET IT?
  30. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________
  31. You can ONLY get these multipliers from regions where you have completed ALL non-unique maps as follows;
  32.
  33. * First with all maps completed
  34. * Second with all maps completed with bonus objective
  35. * Third with all maps completed with AWAKENING bonus objective
  36.
  37. This means you won't be able to fully customize your map drops until you have done quite a bit of progress
  38. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________
  39.
  40. CALCULATING YOUR MAP DROP DISTRIBUTION CHANCE
  41. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________
  42.
  43. * First you have to look at how many maps you have on the tier of map you want to calculate
  44. - If you have 60 maps able to drop in that tier with no multipliers, that will be your DIVISOR
  45. - If you have multipliers (uncompleted or the new preferral), each maps weighting will added together sums your DIVISOR, and when all of their chances added together, you must get 1/1
  46. - Eg. you have 60 maps total with no multipliers, each has a 1/60 chance to drop. 1/60 * 60 = 60/60 or 1/1
  47.
  48. * Now with adding weighting multipliers
  49. - Let's say those 60 maps are from 8 different regions, which gives us a total of 24 uses of the multiplier
  50. - First, let's only use 3 of those multipliers from a single region to bumb up our favourites map chance.
  51. - 30*1 means that our DIVIDEND will have to be 30 for our favourite map, and 1 for the other maps to keep the distribution correct
  52. - Now, as we added 29 new weighting (think about a basked with papers with the name of your fav map), we have to add that 29 to the DIVISOR
  53. -> With that, our chances are now 30/89 for our favourite map, and 1/89 for the rest of the 59.
  54. - When you sum 30/89 together with 1/89 * 59, we'll get 89/89
  55. * As you can see, you get much more of the map you want, however in this example (AL8) you will still be getting rest of the maps more often than your favourite
  56.
  57. - Now, let's add that 30x multiplier to one map that we really like from every region instead
  58. - We'll get 8 maps with DIVIDEND being 30, and 52 maps with 1.
  59. - We add 8*29 = 232 to our DIVISOR, making it 292
  60. - Now our chances for the maps to drop are as follows:
  61. 30/292 for each of the preferred maps (adding to 240/292) and 1/292 for each of the remaining 52 maps that sum to 52/292. These two added together we get 292/292 or 1/1 again
  62.
  63. * This means that over 82% of the maps in that specific tier are maps we preferred, while still being in AL8, but we had to give up getting only one map in this case
  64.
  65. - Now let's drop our AL down so that only one region has maps from the tier we want, let's say it's T16, and there's a total of 4 maps of that tier
  66. - If we add all of the multipliers to one single map, the drop ratings would be 30/33 for the prefered, and 1/33 for the other three, making the sustain of that map incredibly high with AL6
  67.
  68. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________
  69.
  70. THINGS TO CONSIDER
  71. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________
  72.
  73. * Uncompleted bonus (2x) is multiplicitive with preference multiplier, so leaving a map uncompleted and running an adjacent map to it will highly increase it's drop rate, however any map in the same region won't be able to preferred either
  74. - This means maps connecting different regions can drop slightly more often if they're uncompleted, but nothing compared to the preferred maps
  75.
  76. * BOSS BONUS DROP is affected by this
  77. * When you kill a boss in a map, it has a base 1/3 chance to drop AN ADJACENT map.
  78. - This chance can be increased by getting higher AL (added 1% per AL)
  79. * So if you run a map that is not adjacent to your preferred map, you won't be dropping that from the boss bonus drop, making the total distribution of maps in that tier not seem as insane as the numbers in the examples above were
  80. * However, if your preferred map IS adjacent to the other map you ran, it'll have vastly higher chance of dropping over the other adjacents, making running 2 adjacent maps frmo different regions with preference multiplier absolutely bonkers high
  81.
  82. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________
  83.
  84. SHOULD I ALWAYS FULLY COMPLETE MY ATLAS NOW?
  85. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________
  86.
  87. * In most cases, yes, eventually at least. It might take a while to get your Atlas to the state where you can truly minmax it with the preference system, as you need to run a lot of maps with AL8 with the correct tier
  88. * So during early Atlas progression leaving undesired maps uncompleted is still potentially better
  89. * In the cases where you want few specific maps of different tiers to drop in your Atlas, you will get higher sustain of those by not completing all maps
  90. - Eg you want 1x T14, 1x T15 and 1x T16 from 2 different regions. You can achieve 100% sustain of these 6 maps in those tiers by flip-flopping the watchstones.
  91. - You will lose 1 sextant as you have to go down from 4W to 3W to make those adjacent maps at that tier not drop, and potentially up to even ~40% or more bonus and awakening bonus objectives, depending on your setup. That means losing a lot of sustain from high tier map drops and getting less packsize and quantity from your map mods, and less master missions!
  92. - Master mission chance = 1% per 15 AO
  93. - Map mod effect = 1% per 6 AO
