The Magic System is heavily related to the physical processes of energy and matter.

Every magically-capable human has the ability to summon energy for their use. They have two stats which can be extended and trained, but are somewhat hard-spelled, and difficult to address with a spell.

The stats are Mana and Power. Mana corresponds to the amount of joules of energy a spellcaster can manipulate, while Power corresponds to the rate at which they can expend it in watts.

It is unknown to science what stores mana and what generates power. However, it is known that training these characteristics can be done biologically, similarly to weight training and cardiovascular exercise.
