- Backstory: There was once an arrogant ice dragon that prowled over the inhabitants of a small hamlet. Rashida was to be granted one offering on a strict three day cycle; at first he had simple demands such as a simple square meal for. They managed to do this...then that simple square meal became a massive feast. Carts of food were presented to Rashida to prevent his ire.
- Then he demanded tokens, trinkets, and baubles. The carts soon became not only feasts, but with a vast amount of gold, jewelry, and riches. Adventurers and warriors alike desperately scrambled around to pick up these demands for the sake of their people, but unfortunately as time went by, these tithes were far too much for the town, and Rashida soon began receiving human sacrifices instead.
- One such human sacrifice however, was allowed to live far longer than others. While Rashida himself didn't care too much about the conditions of his slaves/food, Claire was fortunate enough to be carried in Mira up until birth, where she died as a result. Despite his arrogant and ruthless attitude, Rashida was able to respect Claire enough as his next of kin due to the draconic blood running through her veins...but not without beating it into her head that everything else was a tool.
- Rashida made perfectly sure to clarify that dragons were among the highest prestige of Bennick, with very few capable of matching their levels of importance. Humans or anything else, on the other hand, were nothing more than instruments, toys, and slaves that were to be used to further whatever plans that the dragons have. This extended to Claire; while she had a dragon's blood, she still also carried the blood of a human, which meant she was simply a 'very prestigious tool', in his own words.
- This went on for some time, Claire grew up believing that she was merely a tool. A very powerful and helpful one, but still a slave all the same. One day, though, when Claire hit about nine years of age, she heard her father furiously shrieking. She arrived in his chambers to find the beast angrily writhing about in an attempt to find off a man who had plunged his spear deep into his chest; she screamed for them to stop, but before her pleas could be heard, Rashida had already fallen before her, collapsing before the proud hunters of Rak'Sha.
- Family: Rashida, her father.
- Mira, deceased mother.
