Each second, every minute,
the only constant is change,
Weary and fatigued, living this life,
I wish to refine my being,
and break away,
far from this dreary place,
into the land of lucid dreams.

Perspicuity has lost its reign,
replaced by the eternally ambiguous,
Late at night, in my nightmares,
all I see is a complete haze.

A perpetual mist, everlasting miasma,
Is nothing certain anymore?
I need to flee, faster than lightning,
lest life catches my scent,
and pulls me back to reality.

I need to break free.
