  1. [14:39] Thus the pair would finally arrive at the Ebonblooded tower passing the vast pit where there were wyverns, bones, plenty of sacrificed souls have been cast down into area. Up the massive staircase and into the Fireflies room!
  2.
  3. "Here is the perfect place where you can practice stitching, I have learned how to do it through the use of wind magic to maneuver the needle through an Apples Skin. One of the best things to test on in my opinion because it required about the same amount of force to pierce through flesh!" there was a little basket of fruit on the table and an apple was tossed over to Morris.
  4.
  5. From the whirling winds came a bit of string and even a pin! One that they could use to practice "Alright I'm going to cut the apple, then I want you to stich up the slice. Basically you can do a few different techniques, you'll eventually find one that suits you. But start at the bottom and work your way up. My suggestion is about forty five degree lines going back and forth to start, then close it up a little tighter. It should come naturally."
  6.
  7. Taking the Apple he would create a small gash through it with a tiny focused burst of wind. "Any questions or application of other techniques just ask! We can talk about Stiching, burns, mana draining. That's a fun one, and all of this is without the use of magic."
  8. (Tunder)
  9. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  10.
  11. [14:48] If there was one provided he's take the sewing kit, and the sliced apple and placed the needle at the base of the slice. he'd slowly bring the needle and thread through the apple only pausing to look at the fae.
  12.
  13. "I have some idea when it comes to this, but have you ever used lightning magic to close a wound? I'm sure with just a sudden shock and jolt of energy the wound would be forcefully shut."
  14.
  15. Morris would take a pair of scissors and cut the thread; he'd start a new set of stiches going up towards the apple, upon reaching the told he'd cut the thread again.
  16.
  17. "It's not the best, but it would likely stop bleeding if there was any and help the wound heal. I do wonder how hard would it be to replace a missing limb?
  18.
  19. I don't mean normally something amazing, and would likely make a person stronger as a result? Do you think something like that is possible? I've heard stories, but that's all they are at the moment."
  20. (Morris Storm)
  21. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  22.
  23. [14:58] "Quite smart, that is an application of Lightning to conduct the energy through two sides as an arc. It could flash cauterize the wound, Fire magic can do similar things with a different aspect. However I try my best not to do that because it can lead toward more infection, the scarring and burns where a good stich can't be trifled with. Sometimes if you're proficient enough there won't even be a mark when its all healed!"
  24.
  25. But they were thinking and it was quite lovely to explain his reasoning behind stitching. "For stopping internal bleeding there are a few routes you can take, surgery or magic. A surgical aspect would be to get yourself in there with a few key incisions to tie off the artery until you're able to piece them back together.
  26.
  27. Blood clots among other things become a risk with this, but magic can also be rather handy. Light and holy can mend from the inside, even water has healing properties as such. Blood magic can force clot to stop internal
  28. bleeding."
  29.
  30. There was a large list "A medical kit comes with everything you need to replace limbs, draw out energies, its basically every medics dream inside of a box. Limitless possibilities stuffed inside which allow you to harness your imagination, but replacing a limb... Making them stronger? Its possible, with a skilled artificer and proficient medic you could apply a prosthesis far more capable than normal limbs. Would probably need arcanium and special artifacts but its definitely possible."
  31. (Tunder)
  32. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  33.
  34. [15:06] "I had a feeling fire magic would be used in a way to close wounds and force bleeding to stop, but in a way it's kind of barbaric and something that would be used on a battlefield. Thought if we're in a clinic then going through the entire process would be expected."
  35.
  36. Meanwhile he began taking down notes of what Tunder said; if he truly kept note of his life experience he's have a personal collection for the future.
  37.
  38. "I plan to learn advance artificer skills; I wanted to learn more about magitech, but there doesn't seem to be anything left around about it. Or I can't find it at least which is truly a shame if I could find something it would make research easier.
  39.
  40. Tell me, do you know anything about it? Perhaps where I could find some information on it. I was serious about making advancements for the mountain perhaps an airship."
  41.
  42. Morris had a bunch of ideas, and yet he was still learning basic medicine.
  43. (Morris Storm)
  44. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  45.
  46. [15:13] "You are right that Fire magic is a bit more barbaric, the burning of the flesh can seal it temporarily as a fix. But you genuinely need to seek out further attention because of that, we would need to re-open the wound before cleaning and sanitizing everything. Cut away the burnt dead flesh to expose new life, then treat with lax and other ointments which can assist with burns."
  47.
  48. There was a lot that came with it, the original wound and this brutal temporary fix to it. But beyond that there was more they were seeking, Magitech. "I am sure there are a few things out there, nothing is lost forever. Wasn't too many years ago we destroyed a mechanised robot guardian powered by whatever those folks created. Extremely dangerous technologies but there are bunkers left around Esshar."
  49.
  50. Maybe it was too much information, but they were seriously wanting to know "You could probably find schematics in those bunkers, then it would just be a means of collecting the materials and the people to actually put it all together." but nothing was impossible "Could lead to interesting adventures, But I wanted to touch base on another thing for your medical experience first."
  51.
  52. Fluttering over to a chest in the room Tunder would grab a Crystal and Tyrium. "I found some of these and they share similar properties, can you imagine what they could be used for in a medical application?"
  53. (Tunder)
  54. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  55.
  56. [15:20] "I had a feeling that was right, but shame I don't use fire magic, so I'll be going the normal route it seems. I don't mind it will help me perfect my skills which is what I desire."
  57.
  58. He nods perhaps he could find some people that wouldn't mind tomb raiding with him.
  59.
  60. "Y'know I can probably find some in the ruins if you tell me where they are, and I'll have to find people who want to go of course. I'm sure I can find a lot of old schematics and such."
  61.
  62. When the ore and crystals were shown Morris had a few ideas of what they could be used for.
  63.
  64. "Uh, they could be used to make a weapon, armor, or perhaps some kind of mana sapping device, right? At least that's what I remember my parents saying about that ore."
  65. (Morris Storm)
  66. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  67.
  68. [15:29] "You can achieve the same effect with Lightning magic if that interested you, but whatever the case its more or less better to go this route. To master the stich and understand the practical method of healing rather than jumping straight into bloody messes." though it was wonderful experience they needed to take time to build to that point.
  69.
  70. "I mean, you probably could find them... But right now I don't think you're ready for any adventures like that. Traps, mechanised machines, dangerous stuff lurks throughout. You wouldn't want to find yourself dead now would you?" for the best not to let that happen, so at least for now he wasn't going to share.
  71.
  72. "As for these materials, you are right. Armor, mana sapping device. However they have a method in medical experiments I have been running. Using these materials I have found a way to draw out the mana of those who have been exposed to Celestial blockages through their circuits. There is also a way to remove mana in general so my idea stemmed from that basis, there is still a lot more study to be done in regards to this but absorbing the mana is only half the battle.
  73.
  74. These crystals exploded when I overcharged them the last time. But anything is possible. It's a neat trick if you ever find yourself in a bind where they have circuit blockage or even other various mana exposures, they are in medical kits and you can find Tyrium in caverns."
  75. (Tunder)
  76. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  77.
  78. [15:35] "I'll keep that n mind should I find myself in one of those situations, but I'm in no state to be searching for anything. It's crazy when you think about how much stuff is lost and waiting to be found."
  79.
  80. He examines the apple Morris felt he could practice on a real person given there was an opportunity for him to. He wanted to practice being an artificer, but he needed to go collect a few ores for that which would likely take some time.
  81.
  82. "I'll search around and see what I can find out perhaps I can find some airship parts. I'll be sure to do that later, but for now I think I get the just of stiches up words and such. Is there anything else of importance you think I should know before moving on?
  83.
  84. I wanna be sure to get as much information as I can from before trying this myself. I want to heal wounds not cause people more pain y'know, and to think I was planning on putting you in a jar."
  85. (Morris Storm)
  86. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  87.
  88. [15:41] "It's not exactly lost if we just need to find it, sometimes forgotten but it's always been there just waiting for the right moment to come back into the world through the will of others." and yet as he was pondering over that fact it seemed right about many things, perhaps there were more projects he needed to achieve... A few mysterious secret things in order to finally- Yeah.
  89.
  90. "Just stop mentioning the jar okay? Otherwise I will have one built for you and stuff you inside, leave you in there for a day or two so you can understand why I dislike the idea of jars." it was a very serious thing for Tunder, extremely serious.
  91.
  92. "But we have went over Stiches, ointments for burns, Lax essences to reduce pain, Tyrium materials to remove mana... Fire application, Lightning as well. Cauterizing wounds is extremely useful, for burns! Cutting away the exterior flesh, applying topical ointments and bandaging is a good one. Setting broken bones by popping them back in place, shoulders are a bit tricky but I'll probably get to showing you that later."
  93.
  94. Thinking about it there was a few things he was thinking about "Stab wounds, internal bleeding... Just make sure you tie off the arteries and get them to an operating table, Hmmm... Anything else while we still have a bit of time?" clicking his tongue "Anything you can think of?"
  95. (Tunder)
  96. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  97.
  98. [15:48] Morris really thought long and hard about it in truth he couldn't think of anything off the top of his head. With wars and everything coming into play he felt they managed to go over everything he needed or will need n the future.
  99.
  100. "Granted there is likely more to go over; I think we went over the more common injuries. The ones you'll see the most and likely spend most of your time treating. I wanna first thank you for going over this with me, and secondly I can't think of much else."
  101.
  102. Morris closed the journal he titled medical and placed a sticker on it.
  103.
  104. "I'll have to dig around and see what else I can find, but that's probably going to be a bit later. I think all I'm really missing at the moment is a little practice, and that's about it. I remember you saying that I'd like be able to get practice from those around here, so it shouldn't be long, right?"
  105.
  106. Morris looks toward Tunder.
  107.
  108. "Is there anything else you could think over."
  109. (Morris Storm)
  110. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  111.
  112. [15:48] * You have been awarded 20 Roleplay Points! *
  113. [15:52] "Yeah the basics is a good place to start, then we can work toward more advanced injuries of a serious nature. They don't happen nearly as often but when they do we need to be ready for them, limbs missing among other organ damage."
  114.
  115. For now however he was thinking this had been a good session to give them some insight toward what they needed to begin, a little more time and they will have that practice to start fending for themselves with basic and some moderate injuries.
  116.
  117. "Won't be very long, as you seen earlier there was a person with four prime injuries receiving their fifth. That is a regular thing that happens here on the Mountain, so won't be too long before we will be needed to start patching folks together."
  118.
  119. Though at the moment he began to spread his wings, fluttering from the table "At this second I think we have given you a bit to think about. Ponder over it and when the chance comes you can assist with a real medical treatment!"
  120. (Tunder)
  121. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  122.
  123. [15:57] "I agree overloading ones mind is never a good thing, so 'll take a little break I'm sure you have things to do. I'll just go over everything we've went over today, and look for an opportunity to assist someone should the time arise."
  124.
  125. He clasped his hands together.
  126.
  127. "Thank you very much you'd been rather informative, and have help me reach the next part of my journey. I appreciate and I look forward to working with you in the future. Enjoy the rest of your evening Tunder."
  128.
  129. Morris would go over his notes and explore the coat perhaps he could find something useful then again he could always go looking for ore; he needed to work on his artificer skills.
  130. (Morris Storm)
  131. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  132.
  133. [16:02] "Since you're going to be taking on joining the Ebonblooded there will be a few things we need to discuss at a later point as well, as a stipulation toward teaching you this medical knowledge. There are plenty here who can assist you with gaining that information and typically they are quite active."
  134.
  135. Though it was time to get out of this wonderful home he had crafted for himself.
  136.
  137. "My door is always open and I have plenty of books here on magical theory, medical practice and other things. Feel free to use this as a library because I have been expanding my base of knowledge with many of these things."
  138.
  139. He never locked this room, it was for any and all who might wish to enlighten their minds. "Also there is everything there to create, write and explore. Anvils kept maintained and nothing to worry about."
  140. (Tunder)
