  1. 1. One thing that I have learned through my journey with tech is that it is ok to Google, it is very important that you use Google to your advantage. Through the whole pre-work process I used Google to help me find the answer or help me solidify it. Sometimes our pride gets the best of us but I have found that people are willing to help you and respect you for your honesty if you just admit to not knowing somethings. I think that to be successful in any industry it is important that we don’t take things personally. When someone gives you, criticism take it and learn from it. I think that every moment is a teaching and learning moment for both parties.

Keeping a checklist ensures that you cover all details and complete the task successfully. A checklist is vitally important to ensure that I am successful at Turing and beyond. This organizational tool will ensure that I meet deadlines, stay on schedule and make sure that I have all details covered.

  6. 3. Strengths-based development can have a positive impact in any industry, but it is important for leadership to be on board. It is crucial for employees to be able to demonstrate their skills through what they are passionate about. It is lucrative for a company to let people shine where they are the most skilled and passionate. I think that my strength is allowing people to take their own initiative I think that I am a great leader when it comes to listening and implementing adequate changes to teams and projects. I know this because I have received feedback form colleagues and clients. I hope to build on my strengths by understanding the tech industry a little more. I believe that that my communication and leadership skills will have be an asset to future teams and employers.
