Kaorin Sakura: 	As you all enter the Gym you're surprised to see that it leads into an large cliff-face. The cliffs descend and you can see daylight of some sort shining from somewhere deep downward.
Aishen: 	"Yeah..."
* Lauren blinks at the light in the darkness. "I kinda expected... somethin' more than a fancy hole in the ground."
	Blaine: 	* A Man stands by the cliff, cutting the rope to a rope ladder with his hand, using it like a saw and making a sound of metal ripping through wood as he did.
	Tobi: 	"That can't be safe"
* Blaine stops as he turns to see the trio entering the Gym and begins cutting faster, talking as he does, "Greetings!....I....am...Blaine! The....hhrrgh rrrrrope....!!"
Aishen: 	"looks like fun."
Aishen: 	"Rope?"
	Lauren: 	"You okay, sir?"
	Blaine: 	* The rope finally goes snap and the ladder twists, hanging by one arm now.
	Tobi: 	"What you doing?"
* Blaine stands up and blows on his hand a bit before turning fully.
	Blaine: 	"Phew. Next time I should invest in less sturdy rope."
	Blaine: 	"I'm Blaine, the Gym Leader of the Cinnabar Gym, here on Cinnabar Island. Master of Science. Dabbler of Fire types. And genetics.
	Blaine: 	"Are all of you kids lost or are you here to challenge my Gym?"
Aishen: 	"You lost me at dabbler actually."
	Lauren: 	"Yeah, but had me at 'Gym Leader'."
	Tobi: 	"Maybe challenge?"
	Blaine: 	"Let's reset our meeting a bit."

	Lauren: 	"We were hoping to check out - and maybe challenge - th' Gym. This'd be my first, personally."

	Blaine: 	"There will be six check points on your way down to the island."
* Lauren is a bit thrown by Blaine's ability to change subjects on a dime. Her head spins a little, trying to keep up.
	Blaine: 	"The gates are made of obsidian and crystal. Nearly impossible to break."
Aishen: 	"No. Explain. What am I exactly?"
	Blaine: 	"Genetic. Experimental. Or a Hybrid. Born from an odd union. Unique. Very unique."
	Blaine: 	"Each check point will be guarded by a questionnaire."
Aishen: 	"So I'm part pokemon. How? Why me?"
	Blaine: 	"Answer the question and you will be allowed to pass."
	Blaine: 	"Unknown. Should be impossible. Yet, here you are. Here you stand. Here you exist."
	Blaine: 	"Perhaps a test, a beacon, a sign, or a decoy. Hard to say."
Aishen: 	"You asked me if I knew where I was from. Do you?
	Blaine: 	"Answer correctly and nothing happens. Answer incorrectly and you'll have one of your Pokéballs disabled while you're inside of the Gym."
	Blaine: 	"Absolutely not. Hence the question!"
* Aishen growls again.
	Lauren: 	"Hey... How about we pick this line up again when we beat 'im. One thing at a time, right?"
	Lauren: 	"I mean - you aren't goin' anywhere, right? So we can hear more about... well, everything?"
	Blaine: 	"You may learn things from my ramblings. I'll be about. Or not."
	Blaine: 	"But today, yes."
	Lauren: 	"Okay. So, gates, Pokeballs can be disabled. Anythin' else we should know?"
	Blaine: 	"Yes, I suppose."
	Blaine: 	"Fail all six check points and for obvious reasons, you fail the Gym Challenge."
* Lauren nods.
	Blaine: 	"You all may use whatever Pokemon you have left against my six.
	Tobi: 	"Is there a map for this or are we guessing?"
	Blaine: 	"Due to the size of your circle here, it'll be a battle royale. You may want to keep up a good stock."
	Blaine: 	"It's straight forward. Just do down."
	Lauren: 	"Okay! Any battles on th' way down, or are th' gates our only challenge? Or... would that be cheatin' to know?"
	Blaine: 	"Knowledge is your only ally and your only enemy along the way."
* Lauren nods, and takes a deep breath. "Okay. I'm up for it if y'all are, guys."
* Blaine turns and gives a bursting evil laugh before jumping off of the cliff.

Kaorin Sakura: 	You do not hear the sound of him landing.
Aishen: 	"I'm ready."
* Aishen lets out spinarak
Kaorin Sakura: 	Let me know if you guys descend.

You whisper to Mike: You can see down as far as 16 meters. And the ladder continues beyond that.
	Lauren: 	"...Whelp, I might be wrong. It's a long way down, y'all."
	Lauren: 	"I don't see th' bottom."
* Lauren calls out Lime!
* Tobi shines the flashlight down and releases Ace
* Whisper climbs back up
	Lauren: 	"Lime, can you grab that rope an' bring it up here? I wanna try an' fix the ladder before we go down it."

	Tobi: 	(Can I see the bottom with the light shining down, it's 15m distance. Perception 7)
* Aishen lets out Daes.
You whisper to Nychii: Due to the light, you can see that it reaches 20 meters or so down.
	Aishen: 	"You two try to fix that rope."
	Lime: 	* Lime will bring the dangling rope up! And then, he's going to use String Shot to re-attach it to its hook-point. (rolls?)
	Tobi: 	"It's about 20 or so meters"
Kaorin Sakura: 	The string (or webbing) catches fire as it touches the rope or cliff.

	Lauren: 	* Can Lauren touch the cliff face without catching on fire, before or after Water Gun? Basically, she wants to nail the rope back into the rock with her nails and tool kit.

* Aishen leans over and touches the side of the cliff

	Lauren: 	* In that case, she'll try it! Uh... Survival to hammer it back into place? There's not much of a 'tinker' skill, so I'd imagine either that or Edu: Tech. But basically, attach the rope to the cliff face via nails and/or screws.
You whisper to Nychii: A large metal gate. And a man.

* Aishen starts to climb down the other side, spinarak on his back.

	Tobi: 	"Just a note, there's a metal gate down there...and a man. Wonder if it's another challenge."

	Aishen: 	the side that's not broken, I don't need steps the cliff face isn't hot.

* Tobi calls back Derp when she sees Aishen not bursting into flames

* Lauren wipes her brow, and puts the hammer back in the toolbox. "Whew. Thanks, Lime. Now we can - hey! Aishen, just retrain yer Rapidash for two seconds and- ugh." *exasperated sigh*

Kaorin Sakura: 	Aishen is capable of using the cliff and the rope to his advantage is easily makes his way down to the bottom.

* Lauren will climb down using the ladder itself, thanks! She leaves Lime out, and the Butterfree keeps very close - he might not be able to carry Lauren, but if she slips, he's better than nothing.

	Man 2: 	"You keep your stock of six."
Kaorin Sakura: 	There's a sudden hiss and a rush of wind form below.
Kaorin Sakura: 	The floor slowly begins to split and open.
	Lauren: 	"whoa!"
Kaorin Sakura: 	Give me Acrobatic checks to dodge the hole ripping beneath your feet.

Kaorin Sakura: 	Lauren manages to avoid the floor and leap to the side to safety. Aishen and Tobi however fall to the next level.

* Lauren looks for a safer way down! Another ladder, perhaps?
* Aishen approaches the next man
Kaorin Sakura: 	There's a ladder on the opposite side of the room from the original ladder that Lauren can use to climb down.
* Lady 1 waits at the next gate. Which thankfully isn't under your feet this time.
	Tobi: 	(can humans drink potions?)

* Aishen approaches the lady

* Lauren clenches her fist - pumped with victory!

Kaorin Sakura: 	The door behind the Lady suddenly slides open with a heavy whirr.
Kaorin Sakura: 	It leads to a dakr hallway that stretches forward a distance to another female.
* Aishen puts down spinarak and walks down the hallway first.

Kaorin Sakura: 	The Flashlight reveals that the metal door is on the ceiling.
* Whisper walks behind Aishen. When he approach the lady, climbs up Aishen's back.

Brine, Force Palm, Mud Shot, Silver Wind?"

* Tobi turns off flashlight as she thinks
	Lauren: 	*listens for her question*

Kaorin Sakura: 	A second Pokéball in Aishen's possession blackens.
	Lauren: 	"...Y'know... There's a bit of a trick t'my question that makes it a might unfair. Blizzard an' Fire Blast are right out - Azumarril's Water-type, so those just aren't gonna do much good. But Solarbeam takes a turn to warm up - uh, usually. And Thunder's like as not to miss completely. Oh, an' Azumaril can sometimes even drink Grass energy, that was a weird sight that one time."
* Aishen summons Needles
	Lauren: 	"So... Can I get more information on that Azumaril, an' the situation? 'Cause it actually does kinda matter, I think."
	Lauren: 	(TLDR: "African or European?")
	Lady 2: 	"You already laid out all the situations, Lady Lauren. Which do you think is the most effective given all possible situations?"

	Lauren: 	"Uh... Alright. I'mma take a stand an' say Thunder. it might miss, but it'll either miss, or it'll hit hard. Solarbeam leaves ya open, and there's the off-chance it'll heal the Azumaril. So: Thunder."
	Aishen: 	"Solarbeam. Let's go."
	Lady 2: 	"That is correct, Lady Lauren. Thunder is the most effective against an Azumarill."
* Lauren exhales with relief!
Kaorin Sakura: 	The metal gate above head slowly cranks open, letting dust fall down as it does.
	Lime: 	* Lime offers a tiny, buggy head to Lauren. "Free~."
* Tobi shines light upwards
Kaorin Sakura: 	A single knotted rope suddenly hangs down to the floor, tied to something above.
	Lauren: 	*fist-bumps her Butterfree*

You whisper to Nychii: It does, yes, just looks like it goes up for a while. Hopefully you won't fall.
Kaorin Sakura: 	Aishen successfully scales up the rope, one arm after the other. If you didn't know any better, you'd guess it was practiced.
Kaorin Sakura: 	Aishen also had the right idea: Acrobatics, go!
	Tobi: 	"Looks stable...but that sure is a long fall..."
	Lauren: 	"Well... we ain't got much to catch ya with... Hey, Lime. Get some string around Tobi's wait, and then fly that up to Aishen. She can climb the rope, and if she falls, he can hold on to her."

Kaorin Sakura: 	Aishen makes it to the top!

* Tobi climbs the ladder
	Lauren: 	"Alright. Lime, do th' same with me, and I'll head up."

	Tobi: 	"Arg...thanks." -climbed to the top and pulls herself up-
	Lauren: 	"Yeah, definitely. Thanks, Aishen." *pant*
* Aishen grumbles
Kaorin Sakura: 	There's a metal door behind all of you.
Kaorin Sakura: 	But it's curved inward, in a half-sphere shape.
* Aishen punches the door.
	Tobi: 	"No questions?"

* Tobi steps back at Aishen's aggressive jesture "...you sure hate doors."
	Lauren: 	"...To be fair, some of the doors around here try to kill us."
* Machine rattles before whimpering.

	Machine: 	"OH GAWD! I'M SORRY I TOOK A NAP!"
	Tobi: 	"...hopefully this one won't."
	Aishen: 	"Open and I won't hit you again."
	Lauren: 	"The machine took... a *nap*?"

* Machine is immune to your charms.

	Lauren: 	"Hah. Well, I know Gastrodon can, it's all about muddy waters. Azurill and Tentacruel can too, though Tentacruel has t'be born with it. So: Crawdaunt!"
	Machine: 	"I'm very surprised, Aishen. No. The answer is Rhydon."
	Machine: 	"And YES Lauren. YES."
	Lauren: 	"Ow, don't need t'yell."
Kaorin Sakura: 	A third ball blackens in Aishen's possession.
* Aishen punches the door.

Kaorin Sakura: 	The sphere shaped door slowly cracks itself in half with a pained groan and slowly slides open.

	Lauren: 	"Yeah, they're gettin' tricky. C'mon - we're doin' okay!"
Kaorin Sakura: 	There's a pipe that goes downard at an angle with rushing water constantly flowing through it, though not enough to even fill it halfway. If you didn't know any better, it looked to be like a poorly made water ride.
	Tobi: 	"I've got a bad feeling...then again, I haven't had a good feeling since we got in here."
* Aishen wings twitch before getting on the ride, Spinarak now on his head.
	Lauren: 	"C'mere, Lime." She hugs the Butterfree tightly to her chest, and hops onto the 'slide'! She's getting into this...
* Tobi slowly follows suit but lets Derp out so she can hug him for comfort.

Kaorin Sakura: 	The ride ends with you falling into a small muddy pile. Of well, mud. There's a metal door that seems to be part of the floor, rising and falling under the mud and circling your location.
Kaorin Sakura: 	A girl is looking down at all of you from a balchony above.

* Lauren slowly gets up, and gets out of the way for the next person. "Hey. Uh, yeah, go ahead and give it to us."

Kaorin Sakura: 	The door suddenly moves under each of you as it opens.
Kaorin Sakura: 	You and all the mud go flying through it and land on a hard, yet invisible surface. The mud softens your drop though.
Kaorin Sakura: 	From under the surface you can see that you're just above the island and can even see Blaine standing on it.
	Lauren: 	"One more question... Hey, Aishen. D'you waaaAAAHHH-" *flumph*
* Blaine waves to all of you above him.
	Lime: 	*gently floats down to Lauren* "Free~?"
	Blaine: 	* Blaine's voice echoes all around you, but it's sort of staticy.
* Aishen grumbles standing up and looking around.

* Aishen cracks his knuckles.

Kaorin Sakura: 	Whatever was holding you up in the air suddenly vanishes beneath you and you and all the mud collected with you fall toward the water surrounding the island. It's deep enough where you submerge without hitting anything and close enough to the island that it takes hardly any effort to reach it.
