- A small town in Kansas is literally left in the dark after seeing a mushroom cloud over near-by Denver, Colorado. The townspeople struggle to find answers about the blast and solutions on how to survive.
- Jericho is a drama about what happens in the aftermath of a nuclear explosion in the once peaceful town of Jericho. Following the battle with New Bern, the citizens of Jericho begin reconstruction efforts to restore the town's power and communication with the outside world. As the country's new leaders, the Cheyenne government, attempt to establish their stronghold in the region, Jericho's citizens become suspicious of their new leaders and question why their community is so important to this newly formed government.
- Only a few shows fire the imagination and thoughts in us. especially with the onslaught of mass reality- and pulp-TV shows out nowadays. Jericho IS 1 of those shows. Only rivaled by shows as Battlestar Galactica and Lost for story-writing, plot-turns, multiple Interesting story lines, and VERY good acting. It has me captivated to the screen, wanting more each week to talk about, to unravel the conspiracies, and wanting to be with the characters each week over and over again, as they feel like family to me. I yelled NUTS together with Jake at New Bern when he did.<br/><br/>KEEP THE SHOW ALIVE !!!!!!!!!!!
- A very good premise, but that is about all. This series is full of unbelievable characters, the plot in itself is full of scientific inaccuracies, holes and inconsistencies. The acting is way below par, the dialog almost at the level of a soap opera (which is what 'Jericho' actually is). CBS basically used the premise of the movie as an excuse to make a soap "that isn't a soap" and would therefore be acceptable to the general public (read - 'larger audiences').<br/><br/>And then the casting... Who on earth cast Skeet Ulrich to be a superhero? He is just as believable in his part as an elephant would be trying to dance ballet! And then the cheap and totally unbelievable make-up, special f/x..., this list could go on and on. There is only one thing worth salvaging, and that is very good overall sound quality (mixing and sound effects).<br/><br/>However, one thing we have learned from 'Jericho': that is definitely NOT what it would be like in the event of a nuclear holocaust! All in all, CBS was correct to wrap this one up fast, nicely and neatly, not even half way through second season.
