  2. HOW TO RUN THE GAME:
  3. 1. Download the latest Slippi zip: https://github.com/project-slippi/Ishiiruka/releases
  4. 2. Extract the zip (duh) wherever you want
  5. 3. Get the game (Choose one):
  6. a. Google Drive link - https://drive.google.com/file/d/15nZfodKWxo-rDoG8J2ZmUqStuZ_d3KFy/view
  7. b. Mega link - https://mega.nz/file/JUFCzQrA#KOPJ6c0b2DtZemSNHRKD6Hx3p9I12yyGUIC3_NHeSDI
  8. c. Google it, the specific version used for netplay is the US 1.02 release (md5 checksum is 0e63d4223b01d9aba596259dc155a174,
  9. if the links above don't work you should find some alternatives with the aforementioned md5 checksum alone)
  10. 4. Extract the zip (duh) wherever you want
  11. 5. Run "Dolphin.exe" inside the Slippi folder
  12. 6. Adjust Graphics/Controllers settings to your liking (if you want to use a gamecube controller check here: https://www.smashladder.com/guides/view/26oz/controller-guide-2-0)
  13. 7. Run the game (either by clicking the "Open" icon on the top left or by setting up a specific folder by double-clicking on the "Dolphin could not find any GameCube/Wii ISOs or WADs. Double-click here to set a games directory..." line in the main window).
  14. If everything runs well then you're ready to do some Netplay.
  15.
  16. HOW TO NETPLAY:
  17. 1. Go here https://slippi.gg/online/enable
  18. 2. Press the Log-in/Register button
  19. 3. Press the Create Account button (bottom left of the Log-in/Register pop up)
  20. 4. Put whatever email, a temporary email (google it) is good too if you don't want to use a personal one. A random string that looks like an email (so "randomletters@randomletters.com") should work too
  21. 5. Fill in the rest of the form
  22. 6. Follow the instructions for the connect code and click on the Confirm Code button
  23. 7. "Consider supporting" (inputting 0 will let you skip this form)
  24. 8. Download the user file and put it in the Slippi folder like instructed on the site.
  25. 9. (Optional) Make a copy of the user file a put it somewhere safe, like the site says this is your personal file and you need it to play with your code
  26. 10. (Optional) Read this https://slippi.gg/netplay#lag_reduction
  27. 11. If you did everything correctly, booting the game will show three options: Unranked, Direct and Logout
  28. a. Unranked lets you play with random people
  29. a1. To play in this mode simply select Unranked, then select your character and then press START.
  30. You will eventually be matched with someone else.
  31. b. Direct lets you play with specific people via connect codes
  32. b1. To play in this mode simply select Direct, then select your character and then press START.
  33. You now have to enter your opponent's code (and your opponent will need to enter yours) to start playing.
  34. c. Logout should be self explanatory
  35.
  36. Keep in mind that if the ping, shown on the upper left during a match, is too high (it all depends on your connection and how far you are from your opponent) the game will likely be unplayable. Be sure to choose people near you (like at least in the same continent) when you want to play.
  37. You can mitigate the issue by manually changing the Delay Frames, to do this click on "Config" in Dolphin's main screen, then go on the "Gamecube" tab and you'll find it at the bottom. Standard is 2, for 100+ ping put 3, for 200+ ping put 4 and so on.

  70. a5. Once people connected with you, you have to set the buffer (at the bottom) based on their ping (on the right,
