  7. ornamental gold gill-rings
  8. A collection of golden gill-rings sit here.
  9. Designed for ornamenting the relatively delicate flesh at the edges of gills- for those who have them- these rings are lightweight but highly ornamental. Each is carefully designed, a slender golden hoop which is hinged and snaps shut to provide a secure closure. Two of the rings are simple and unadorned, and another pair flatten out in the middle to provide a surface on which geometric designs are etched. The next pair are set with chips of green and yellow gems, and the two largest rings have both etchings and gem-studded surfaces.

  11. an Utari fishing spear
  12. A three-pronged fishing spear lies here.
  13. A specialised tool for fishing, this spear would nevertheless be quite dangerous in the hands of one who knows how to use it. Instead of a more traditional blade tip, the business end sports three razor-sharp metal prongs, bound with rope and sealed with wax to the handle. The wooden shaft of the spear is polished smoothly and a wrapping provides better grip near the middle, but it is otherwise unadorned.
  14.
  15. a shark-tooth fighting knife
  16. A strange knife of wood and teeth has been left here.
  17. A traditional Utari knife, this vicious-looking tool has been crafted from wood and wax. About half as long again as a man's hand, the polished ovals of wood are bound at the top and bottom to keep them tightly together. The source of the item's name is obvious; in place of a metallic blade as a more conventional knife might have, a row of razor-edged shark teeth have been set down one side, sealed in with wax and the wood either side of the bases. While useless for day to day tasks like skinning or peeling, this fighting knife lends a savage and bloody attack to any engaging in hand to hand combat.
  18.
  19. a waveflower garland
  20. A garland of delicate blue and white flowers lies here.
  21. Designed to be worn about the neck, this garland of has been meticulously crafted from the striking waveflowers that grow along certain stretches of coast. The blooms are coloured much like the sea, deep blue at their hearts and fading up through paler blue-green toward the ends of each of the five pointed petals. The very edge of each petal is fringed with crinkly white which resembles the foam atop the sea. The garland has been cleverly woven from the tough stalks of the plant making a flexible but strong base from which to display the flowers.
