Overworld

In a world torn apart by the aftermaths of a devastating war, you must continue on and find your own path. You were once an unspoken villain of the war, an assassin that lurked in the shadows. At your hands, monarchies rose and fell, kingdoms were toppled. Your motivations are your own; whether you fought for coins or at your own personal whims, we don't care. You are too dangerous to be allowed to live. We will hunt you. We will find you. We will kill you. Beware the call of the blind god.

The story of Overworld is a long and bountiful history, but most of that is irrelevant now. Most of it has been forgotten in the majority of the world powers, entire libraries burned down to hide the past of this once beautiful world. On Earth, this world would be called pure fantasy; dragons and magic and yetis and everything in between exists here, or at least once did. It is unsure whether these mythical beings still exist after the past ten years.

You are an Actor, someone with the ability to change his own fate to fit his own narrative. You dictated the path of the world for a time before the war, killing monarchists and dictators and helping others rise to power. Your reasons for doing this are your own, but you have done them. About ten years ago, something horrible happened. Every Actor, every creator of his own fate, fell silent, including yourself. You aren't sure what happened in those ten years, only that things don't seem right. You awaken today in a world you can scarely recognize, the land pockmarked with holes created by explosions or digging or something else. You don't know where you went, why you went there, or why you are back, but two things are for sure: You are still an Actor, and that means you are special. But somebody knows that you are an Actor, and they want you dead. You know this from the message that filled your head moments before you awoke(see above.)
