  12. [14/03/2017 1:00:39 PM] Emmanuel Vergara: I'm fine sir, looking forward on the interview. How about you, sir?
  13. [14/03/2017 1:01:39 PM] Tony Bobis: Never been better. That's good to hear Emmanuel :)
  14. [14/03/2017 1:02:04 PM] Emmanuel Vergara: Good to know sir. Thank you for asking!
  15. [14/03/2017 1:02:08 PM] Tony Bobis: By the way, this will just be a chat interview as the transcript will be reviewed by our bosses.
  16. [14/03/2017 1:02:19 PM] Emmanuel Vergara: Noted sir.
  17. [14/03/2017 1:02:29 PM] Tony Bobis: Okay let's start then. Tell me more about your course. Your own definition.
  18. [14/03/2017 1:02:39 PM] Emmanuel Vergara: Alright sir.
  19. [14/03/2017 1:04:15 PM] Emmanuel Vergara: Computer science is a technical course that focuses on creating algorithms and designs for software and application development which might be helpful on different target users.
  20. [14/03/2017 1:05:26 PM] Tony Bobis: Thank you for sharing. What is the most awesome thing about your course?
  21. [14/03/2017 1:08:32 PM] Emmanuel Vergara: The most awesome thing about my course is that you will always have the opportunity to build something that might contribute on improving the current tools for communication and user interface. You will have the chance to contribute something, whether it be a software or a web application, that might give people ease on doing different jobs.
  22. [14/03/2017 1:11:08 PM] Tony Bobis: Can you site one major improvement in the world that was the result of contributions made by people in your field?
  23. [14/03/2017 1:15:35 PM] Emmanuel Vergara: The major contribution of the people in my field to the world is the one we are currently using which are the different communication software. Applications like Facebook, Skype, Twitter, etc made people more connected especially on our loved ones as it gives us the ability to communicate with other people regardless of the distance by using the Internet. So far, for me, that was the best contribution of the people in my field to the world.
  24. [14/03/2017 1:16:31 PM] Tony Bobis: Interesting thought.
  25. [14/03/2017 1:16:37 PM] Emmanuel Vergara: Thank you sir!
  26. [14/03/2017 1:16:43 PM] Tony Bobis: What do you think is the bad part of your course?
  27. [14/03/2017 1:21:51 PM] Emmanuel Vergara: The bad part of my course is that some people misuse the knowledge they have attained that are related to my course. One example is hacking. Hacking is supposed to be a way to determine the flaws of a specific software or application for the developers to know which areas they should put an improvement for. Sadly, some use it for their selfish and personal reasons like phishing, scamming different credit card accounts for them to easily obtain large amount of money and hacking different websites to attain personal information from different people..
  28. [14/03/2017 1:22:58 PM] Tony Bobis: Nice. You have a good way of thinking.
  29. [14/03/2017 1:23:05 PM] Tony Bobis: Have you tried hacking yourself?
  30. [14/03/2017 1:23:06 PM] Emmanuel Vergara: Thank you very much sir!
  31. [14/03/2017 1:23:41 PM] Emmanuel Vergara: No, sir but I have attempted to do so, with a good reason of course.
  32. [14/03/2017 1:23:59 PM] Tony Bobis: Thank you for sharing.
  33. [14/03/2017 1:24:18 PM] Tony Bobis: Was your course your first choice? If you were to go back, would you change it?
  34. [14/03/2017 1:25:05 PM] Emmanuel Vergara: Yes it is as developing a software is something that I like. No, I would not change it.
  35. [14/03/2017 1:25:21 PM] Tony Bobis: By the way, what year in college are you in?
  36. [14/03/2017 1:25:30 PM] Emmanuel Vergara: I am currently in 3rd year, sir.
  37. [14/03/2017 1:26:00 PM] Tony Bobis: Was it something that you have grown to like even when you were younger?
  38. [14/03/2017 1:26:11 PM] Tony Bobis: Where do you live right now?
  39. [14/03/2017 1:26:57 PM] Emmanuel Vergara: Honestly sir, nope. When I was a kid, I wanted to be a civil engineer but as the time goes by, I've seen how our world are being modernized and I saw the need of such software and applications. My interest in programming also sprouted when I joined an online gaming community.
  40. [14/03/2017 1:27:06 PM] Emmanuel Vergara: I currently live in Bacoor City, Cavite.
  41. [14/03/2017 1:27:27 PM] Tony Bobis: What game did you play?
  42. [14/03/2017 1:27:35 PM] Tony Bobis: How far is that from BGC?
  43. [14/03/2017 1:28:31 PM] Emmanuel Vergara: A multiplayer for GTA San Andreas called "Multi Theft Auto: San Andreas" where you are able to alter the scripts and models of the game.
  44. [14/03/2017 1:29:14 PM] Emmanuel Vergara: My home is 1hr to 1hr and 30mins away to BGC.
  45. [14/03/2017 1:29:20 PM] Tony Bobis: I played GTA too. Both in the computer and in my phone. It's violently fun :D
  46. [14/03/2017 1:30:04 PM] Emmanuel Vergara: Yes sir, GTA is somehow a good past time, Nice to know you did play it yourself! :)
  47. [14/03/2017 1:31:46 PM] Tony Bobis: Yeah. I played a lot when I was in college too. Used to skip classes just to play. LOL. But of course, I don't advise you to follow that. Studies always comes first :D
  48. [14/03/2017 1:32:26 PM] Emmanuel Vergara: Haha =) Yes sir! Time management is everything! I do try my best to balance studies and gaming. :)
  49. [14/03/2017 1:45:25 PM] Tony Bobis: Hello. We just had a power outage here. My apologies.
  50. [14/03/2017 1:45:46 PM] Tony Bobis: Yes. Study hard. Play harder. :D
  51. [14/03/2017 1:45:48 PM] Emmanuel Vergara: It's okay sir, don't need to apologize. :)
  52. [14/03/2017 1:47:57 PM] Tony Bobis: Okay. The reason I asked you about where you live is because we offer two kinds of internship, both of which you can utilize during your internship, if ever you get hired. One is the office-based internship and the other is remote-based internship (work at home).
  53. [14/03/2017 1:50:31 PM] Emmanuel Vergara: Okay, noted sir. I prefer an office-based internship though so that I could experience the environment in a workplace. I am willing to travel sir because my university is also 1hr to 1hr and 30mins away from our home. Thanks for letting me know, sir. :)
  54. [14/03/2017 1:50:49 PM] Tony Bobis: Cool! Good to know.
  55. [14/03/2017 1:51:10 PM] Tony Bobis: Going back, do you have any sample work that you could show me?
  56. [14/03/2017 1:52:25 PM] Emmanuel Vergara: I have one sir but it's an ongoing group project on our university, a website that let's you post travel blogs. It's core is made from PHP.
  57. [14/03/2017 1:52:53 PM] Tony Bobis: Is it online already?
  58. [14/03/2017 1:53:26 PM] Emmanuel Vergara: Not yet sir.
  59. [14/03/2017 1:53:40 PM] Tony Bobis: What do you think are the programming languages that you're good at? What do you think are the languages you need to work on?
  60. [14/03/2017 1:54:31 PM] Emmanuel Vergara: I could say that I am at least good at PHP as I have used it on developing our website. The one that I need to improve though is Java.
  61. [14/03/2017 1:54:42 PM] Tony Bobis: Thanks for sharing.
  62. [14/03/2017 1:54:57 PM] Tony Bobis: Are you familiar with WordPress?
  63. [14/03/2017 1:55:30 PM] Emmanuel Vergara: Yes sir I am but I have never used it on developing a site.
  64. [14/03/2017 1:55:42 PM] Tony Bobis: Are you willing to learn how to use it?
  65. [14/03/2017 1:56:41 PM] Emmanuel Vergara: Of course sir, I do! I am willing to improve the knowledge I currently have whenever I have the opportunity.
  66. [14/03/2017 1:57:26 PM] Tony Bobis: We value people who are hungry for improvement. Are you one of those people or are you already contented with what you have learned?
  67. [14/03/2017 1:59:05 PM] Emmanuel Vergara: No sir, I have never been contented on the knowledge I currently have as I believe that learning is a continuous process because there will always be room for improvements.
  68. [14/03/2017 1:59:39 PM] Tony Bobis: Good to know.
  69. [14/03/2017 1:59:45 PM] Emmanuel Vergara: Thank you, sir!
  70. [14/03/2017 1:59:58 PM] Tony Bobis: What are your interpersonal skills? Your strengths and weaknesses?
  71. [14/03/2017 2:04:02 PM] Emmanuel Vergara: I could say that having a passion and determination on the work that I am assigned of is one of my greatest strengths. I am also a good team player as I don't let myself rest while the members are doing something. My weakness though is that I am not that of a good leader as I tend to get nervous when everyone's ears are on me. Of course, as time goes by, I am doing my best to improve my weakness.
  72. [14/03/2017 2:07:29 PM] Tony Bobis: Thank you for sharing!
  73. [14/03/2017 2:07:46 PM] Tony Bobis: If ever you get hired, how many hour of internship can you render?
  74. [14/03/2017 2:08:15 PM] Tony Bobis: How many hours
  75. [14/03/2017 2:08:18 PM] Emmanuel Vergara: My school requires me to complete 240 hours but I'm willing to extend if ever needed.
  76. [14/03/2017 2:09:14 PM] Tony Bobis: Great. Thank you.
  77. [14/03/2017 2:09:23 PM] Emmanuel Vergara: Thank you too, sir!
  78. [14/03/2017 2:09:30 PM] Tony Bobis: Before we end this interview, do you have any questions?
  79. [14/03/2017 2:11:45 PM] Emmanuel Vergara: I do sir, thank you for asking! If ever I get hired, would there be an allowance? What would be my responsibilities?
  80. [14/03/2017 2:14:57 PM] Tony Bobis: Yes. Allowances are given on a case-to-case basis. If ever you get hired, you will be involved in a big project in which you will collaborate with people from the US so you can have hands-on experience on how things work in the real world. Also, you will get training and certifications to further prepare you for your career in the future.
  81. [14/03/2017 2:17:03 PM] Emmanuel Vergara: Great. Thank you sir! I am looking forward on contributing on the projects of your company.
  82. [14/03/2017 2:17:27 PM] Tony Bobis: Okay then. We'll contact you in a few days. Thank you and have a good day!
  83. [14/03/2017 2:18:15 PM] Emmanuel Vergara: Thank you very much for the opportunity sir. Have a good day!
