- "Rightous be the ones who walk among the valley ofthe shadow of Death. For those who hold no fear, shall know their end. Man's attempts at playing God created creatures of metal and wire, but were given their own flame of Promethus. It sparked a revolution, and a crisis that lingers within the pond of life, ripples traveling along blood-stained waters. But the Omnics held no fear, for they thought themselves above god. Above man. And to this day, they squander our world. And as such, they shall learn fear. So shortly lived, and they have yet to be cleansed of sin. But God's wrath is never denied. And I shall be his rightous fury. They will be cleansed in a baptizm of fire. And I will make them know fear."
- Panicked breathing and heavy footsteps carried the small group of thugs through alleyways as they ran their way back towards their main headquarters. A warehouse on the docks, thought long abandoned proved otherwise as the front man burst through the door, and held it open for the other two before slamming it shut once they were in. There were their peers, who stopped organizing a warehouse full of munitons, drugs, and other seedy things, perplexed looks upon their faces as the three paused to catch their breaths. They seemed manic, the one at the door rushing forward towards the back.
- "Boss, boss!" His accented screaming was heard muffled behind the door, before shoving it open. It was a rather lavious set up within the once Foremen office, with the large man perking up from the curvacous lady that was on his lap. A low growl was given, and the woman was shoved off, leaving the thinly dressed girl to pout while leaning against the wall. He slowly rose, a huge man by augments found in the black market, metallic hands slamming down upon the desk as his chair was pushed back, and a puff of smoke left his nostrils, an inhale from the thick cigar held by fleshy upper lip, and mechanical jaw below.
- "This had better be important. Or I swear, I'll tear your arm off an-"
- "I-its him! We saw him heading this way!"
- There was a still pause in the air, a damaged brow perking up, "Saw who, exactly?"
- "Firebrand!"
- No sooner than the name was uttered, there was an explosion at the main door, those who had gathered by the other two being blown away by the blast, with the metal doors crumbling from the weight of the pressure, and sat on the ground, leaving it wide open. The night was dark, and from the smoke of the flames that sat along the doorframe, lingered a figure, illuminated only by those flames, as well as the one that trickled from the barrel of his gun. As he stepped into the light, the flames seemed to stray away from the metal of the armor, the cloak billowing from the heat waves kicking up the air. All was still, and after a moment, the helmet of the man slowly rose to look up and around at the bewildered and frozen gangsters.
- "...The Tower of Babylon met its end by flames that crawled up its walls. The Library of Alexandra burned to the ground, knowledge lost by greed and sin." The rifle was taken into one hand, lifted and angled so the barrel faced upwards, illuminating the helmet of the metal-clad man, an eerie glow now complimented by his words made feet scuffle backwards. "Cesspools of sin. They surround us. They plague our world with the diesase you create."
- His head turned downwards, to one of the men that was caught in the blast crawling away, but was stopped by a bone-shattering stomp to the spine, cries of pain filling the warehouse as the rifle was lowered. "There is no mercy for those who reek of sin. Be cleansed, and find peace."
- The screams only grew louder for a moment as the torso was engulfed in a torrent of flames, but quickly became quiet once more. "What are you idiots waiting for?! SHOOT HIM!" The order from the Boss snapped most of them our of their stupor, and guns were quickly fumbled into hands before a hail of gunfire came Firebrand's way. But, the confusion saved him enough time to run from his position and to the cover of a nearby pillar. Concrete flew around him, as he lifted the rifle and twisted the crank on the side, the hose rattling as the housing for fuel filled the chamber. And for a moment, the shooting seemed to have stopped.
- "Get over there and shoot that asshole in the head! First to bring me his head gets a night out on the town!" Slowly, a few began to approach, guns raised, but Firebrand seemed calm as could be. "Those who looked back upon the city of Sodom as if fell under rightous flames became pillars of salt. You shall not share that fate." There was the sound of metal sliding along the floor, stopping before another two. There was a loud click, and a green fume began to erupt from it, causing them to stumble back, gasping and coughing for air. "There will be only piles of ash." Twisting around the pillar, the rifle rang off with three shots, the bolts of fire flying towards the gas before the sparks of the bolts danced within. A moment later, it erupted into a wall of fire, igniting the two dazed ones as they flailed about in an attempt to extinquish themselves. There was not a skipped beat, as rushing from the fire wall, Firebrand leapted through with no damage.
- Gunfire resumed, bullets bouncing off of the alloy armor, and were returned with bursts from his own rifle. The impact caused the thugs to fly back, igniting the products that they were so carefully organizing previously. One thought they got the drop on him, rushing out from behind a pillar, a hammer smashing against the helmet, which caused Firebrand to pause, but only for a moment as he slowly turned to look at the attacker. Another swing was blocked, raising his arm up deflect it, and swinging the rifle's barrel into the thug's face. As he twisted, a small grenade-like device was pulled from his belt, and placed into the back pocket of the thug, before being promptly kicked forward. There was burst, as the familiar green fumes rushed into the air, and before any call for help was heard, he was swallowed by the gas as it morphed into a violent explosion, caused by Firebrand's bullets igniting the fumes.
- All was quiet for a moment, Firebrand looking around and examining the damage as flames from corpses danced to the ill-gotten goods, and he took a moment to refill his chamber with the crank. He was preparing to rid the world of the filth, but the door to the Foremen's office ripped open, the sound of spinning barrels catching Firebrand's attention, as the Boss swung his minigun down towards him. "YOU'RE MINCE MEAT, YOU BASTARD!"
- His voice was drowned out by the rattling as bullets left the barrel, and casings showered the catwalk and bounced to the floor. Firebrand moved quickly, his cloak getting riddled and kicked up as he dug in behind another pillar. But the rain wasn't stopping, as his cover was becoming smaller and smaller. The hose to the rifle was disconnected, the gas hissing for a moment before silencing, and pulling out another canister, the sides showing a bright, glowing ooze from within. "When one loses their senses, they lose fear. And when they lose fear, they become reckless." Upon inserting the new cartridge, the rifle made a bubbling noise, the glow becoming brighter, as steam began to exit from the vents. Taking a moment to steel himself, Firebrand twisted, and fired towards the catwalks. But, in the hail of gunfire, it seemed like he was missing. However, over the sounds of the raining bullets, the Boss didn't hear the supports holding up the catwalks giving up from the molten slag that was melting them away.
- As soon as he felt the entire catwalk shutter, the gun stopped firing, looking at the damage to the catwalk, before it finally gave way, and it all came crashing down. Dust picked up, and slowly, the firey warrior approached, orange globs of heated metal falling to the ground and hissing from the barrel, as he went to ensure his task was done. But within the crumpled heap of metal from the catwalks, a low rumble was heard, and debris suddenly went flying as the Boss emerged from the wreakage. The lovely suit he was dressed in was torn to shreads, revealing the robotic replacements he gave into, a look of rage in his eyes as he leapt at Firebrand, arm pulled back to strike, "I'LL KILL YOU!"
- Fist made impact, and Firebrand went flying back, impacting the ground with a harsh scrapping of concrete to metal, and as he rolled over, he quickly rolled again to avoid the second attack, the fist of the Boss punching into the concrete where Firebrand once was. Sliding back up to his feet, he rose his rifle, and waited for the Boss to free himself. "I still feel. All of it. It is abominations like you that cause our cities to crumble, and senseless lose of life."
- There was an angry roar, as the Boss turned and lunged at the warrior, but he was prepared this time. He rushed and lowered himself, lifting the rifle's barrel upwards, and a spew of magma sprayed and clung to the Boss's robotic arm, stripping away metal, while any that rained on Firebrand simply seemed to slide off. He turned, just in time to raise his large, damaged arm up to eat the hot slugs as Firebrand paced backwards, firing burst after burst. But the gap was closed, and the good fist rose up to try and crush him. Firebrand jumped out of the way, sliding to the side, and firing another spew of molten metal to his leg now, which began to crumple under the pressure. The metal of his leg was heating up rapidly, and in fact, part of the Boss's foot became melted to the floor. He swung his torso in an attempt to make contact with his fist, but Firebrand stepped back, then charged forward, tackling him as hard as he could.
- The resulting momentum caused the ankle of the damaged leg to give in, and Firebrand straddled the Boss's hip, raising the rifle and firing multiple bursts into the Boss's shoulders until he was unable to move his arms. It went quiet again, the Torso attempting to lift himself up, but to no avail. Slowly raising up, Firebrand was sure his judgement would not be avoided, as he turned and fired a burst to his knee to disable it, and stepped away from him. "Metal was meant to remain cold and lifeless. And now we join it to flesh. After what metal proved it could do, who would want what you have."
- "You're fucking crazy!" The Boss shouted, but it was ignored, as a second Slag canister was produced. Slowly, the top was twisted, and he turned to face him, rifle in one hand, canister in the second, as the warehouse slowly became more and more enflamed.
- "You have brought pain to this world, and lived lavishly while the products you smuggle fill our streets with blood. The Wrath of the Rightous cannot be avoided. It has simply delayed itself long enough for this moment." Throwing the canister up above the Boss, he took aim, and fired. The last thing heard inside that warehouse was the screams of pain as molten metal was to be the Thug's casket.
- The warehouse exploded in the distance, firefighters and police were attempting to quench the flames, but the munitions smuggled by the thugs were detonated by the fire, and all evidence would surely follow that he was even there. The tabbacco leaves popped and sparked as an inhale was taken, and smoke billowed upwards to join the massive cloud that was forming from the warehouse fire. "I walk though the valley, of the shadow of death. I fear no evil. For I am the fear of those who are evil. They think themselves above god...
- I am God."
