Background :
estelle was born to a poor family in bangkok, her family never had much money, so she never expected to have a career in music. but when she was 12 she received a scholarship to a prestigious dance conservatory in the city, so she was well trained and disciplined from a young age in dance. she also had to help her younger siblings though, so she ended up losing her scholarship when she was about 16, but didn’t want to give up on her dream of being a dancer and musician. she started making dance videos and posting them online, and was offered the chance to become a trainee. she studied korean until she was able to both sing and rap in the language, practically speaking it fluently now.
