  5. ‘Based on the hypothesis below, which is the indepednent variable?’
  6.
  7. Independent.

  9. ‘If carrots are eat daily, an improvement in vison will occur.’
  10.
  11. Eat-en. Vis-i-on. I don’t recall Mutou’s worksheets being so riddled with typos back when I was a student at Yamaku. Maybe if he didn’t scramble to finish them at the last minute he’d have time to proofread them before sending them to me. God bless the old guy for getting me this job, but I wish he would let me take more responsibility for the curriculum I teach in 3-3.

  15. ‘a. Improvement in vision
  16. b. Carrots eaten’
  17.
  18. Huh. I’m not so sure about this ‘improvement in vision’ bit. Perhaps I should substitute it with something else. I certainly don’t want to cause any awkward feelings for the new transfer student, Arai. Despite being practically blind, she was adamant about joining 3-3 instead of Miyagi’s class. I get the impression she’s childhood sweethearts with the boy that sits in the back row—oh, what’s his name...

  20. It’s already been two years since Mutou’s accident. He has to realize that I now know this current class better than he ever got the chance to; they’re my students. I know he knows that I’m fully capable of handling 3-3 on my own. Maybe he’d feel too guilty just sitting there collecting checks while on leave. Being an educator in name only.

  22. “Hey.”

  24. ‘Idetnify the independent varaible in the following exemple’
  25.
  26. I’m so tired.

  28. “Hey.”

  30. Just two more pages to edit, and I’ll be able to....
  31.
  32. “Hey.”
  33.
  34. What, what?!
  35.
  36. “...Yes, darling?”
  37.
  38. “Lavender? Or white?”
  39.
  40. I look up from my laptop screen and see my wife standing in front of the living room couch, her foot hovering around the canvas she’s been painting for the past hour or so, a vibrant display of varying blues: aquamarine, cobalt, teal—I’m pretty sure I see Prussian somewhere—all cascading from the brightest to the darkest shades.

  85. Wasn't it more interesting to read *without* the script tags? In the former example, you gradually were gradually were being pulled away from Hisao's focal point by the persistent "Hey" coming from off screen. And then when she's finally introduced, Hisao doesn't call her by name right away, instead referring to "his wife" and letting the context ("her foot hovering around the canvas she’s been painting for the past hour or so") fill in the rest.
