Reasoning: Hisame felt like her power needed something that wasn't all flashy and or noticeable. The power of the Makai and her regenerative abilities were what she was known for in battle. Her Flame Breath style that caused her body to erupt into flames without a moment's notice was also something that made her notable. Now she needed something that no one would even notice and she could use it in the midst of battle to be on par with some of the stronger sword wielders out there. Like Bloo. She felt like he was the only Human capable of defeating her. The day will come when that changes.

TLDR: As Halle also knew this special skill, she knew that it was the perfect chance to get some guidance from her. Rather than help, it was mostly her getting randomly tossed around as she played with her mind. Hisame wasn't impressed by the tricks but they'd still be stuff she'd take to her head to start learning.
