C4S3: Act 4

It’s times like this where I really miss home.
I’ve been in this mansion for god knows how long now. It’s in the middle of nowhere in a crack of reality. It’s dark. Very dark. The sun hasn’t risen on that weird metaphorical cliff thing with all the curtains in forever. The story ended, the final curtain closed, that’s it, go home. That’s what he wanted to tell us. I still insist on staying here, though. The story never ended, he just left it unfinished and decided that it’s over.
I’ve searched almost every corner of this mansion looking for the thing I’ve been searching for: the way home. I know it’s around here somewhere. It’s like a rectangular window pane thing, except with a bunch of gadgets and gizmos attached to it, and if you break it you can pass through it, and yeah it’s kind of complicated but you’d know it when you see it.
Huh, there’s the Yellow Yard. What an idiot. My interference with the plot cannot be measured in mere mortal lengths of distance. Wait, that’s a bad thing. Nope, not exactly what I’m looking for, but--
Oh there it is.
There’s one. A fenestrated plane. Exactly what I need. It’s one step closer to home! I’ll break it later.
First, I’m gonna see what’s on TV.

Everything flashes green.
Phrody appears in the midst of a village exactly like the one she saw near her house. The first gate above it took her to somewhere else on her land, a new place to explore with new sights to see and people to meet and giant golems to fight-- wait, what?
A massive, hulking, humanoid cubic rainbow-colored golem approaches the village from the distance. Phrody stares up to its face, past its chest baring a plate with the number “83”. A metallic voice sounds over the loudspeakers as she covers her face from the light of Skaia behind it.
“FEAR NOT, CITIZENS. THIS GOLEM IS HERE TO MAKE YOU SAFE.”
Bismuth. The golem that crocodile was talking about, Phrody knew about it, and is now seeing it for the first time. She takes out her phone and flashes her flashlight in Morse Code while the consorts look toward it in a futile attempt at communication. The golem marches forward, five stories high, as Phrody begins to see tiny black dots at its feet.
Those are underlings.
“Hey, do you think you and I could talk? The huge guy, I mean! You’re Bismuth, right?” she yells at the golem. The golem roars back, marching forward with its feet quaking the chrome ground beneath her with every step. She fires a warning shot, the echo of the gun ringing throughout the empty landscape. The golem takes it as an attack, and roars again, looking down upon the village full of trembling crocodiles. Phrody decides to take action.
She leaps onto one of the metallic dome-roofed two-story buildings, the tallest one she can find, and grabs onto a ledge to spring forward from it. She holds her balance at the top, and quickly fires two bullets into Bismuth’s kneecap, before jumping off of the building and onto it. The golem looks surprised and attempts to shake her off, but she keeps hanging on. The golem’s entire body is made of small step-shaped metal plates, which she uses to keep herself steady as she makes her way to the top.
A basilisk springs up the side of the golem’s leg to try to attack Phrody, but she shoots it in the head and takes it out, its body exploding into a pile of grist as it falls off the leg. She continues to climb, reaching Bismuth’s waist, staring into the clouds and not looking down to the village where she is already higher than twice the height of the tallest building. The crocodiles below fear for her, but cheer her on.
Another basilisk reaches to the waist and wraps around Phrody, planning to take her down with it, but she paralyzes it briefly by slicing its neck with her newly alchemized sword. She sweeps at the basilisk’s legs and stabs it, putting it out of its misery. She jabs her sword into Bismuth’s side as celebration, the golem roaring as white energy begins to pour out of its side. She climbs further to deal more damage.
She grabs onto the chest, the plate reading “83” directly in front of her face. It tries to shake her off, but she just grabs on tighter.
“HEY YOU!” she shouts to Bismuth with all of her primordial strength. Bismuth roars in response, looking down at her with eyes of white fire.
“Your ass is Prometheus and I’m gonna chain it to a rock.”
Phrody leaps upward once more to the top of Bismuth’s head. Bismuth turns around to try and find her, giving her a stomach-turning view of the surrounding metallic blank landscape. She stabs the back of Bismuth’s neck, its knees buckling, before slicing the back of its head, twisting the blade further into its skull.
Bismuth slowly falls to the ground backwards, away from the village. Phrody climbs to the top of his head and rides it for the way down. It roars one last time, before crashing to the ground, its core exploding with a massive shockwave. Everything goes white.
Phrody opens her eyes, and sees a lush landscape where the metallic village used to be, the huts transformed into wooden cabins, a dirt path winding through the new village. The consorts cheer, their own little piece of their homeland restored. Phrody smiles, radiating with pride, power, and life, and closes her eyes once more to rest.
