- Ame vs Tad
- Tad wins 2-1
- Batman vs Red
- R1
- - Batman has esoterics (cold/KO gas/electricity), piercing, and punches big. He is a very good arrow timer.
- - Red is like how Red was last round.
- R2
- - Red counters Batman stealth with super vision and tells his wolves to maul Batman to death. Batman's terrible suit gets shredded instantly by Red's ultragun.
- - Red has bad durability and Batman dodges his aim with his high speed before either punching him or attacking with his esoterics. Batman also kills dogs.
- R3
- - Red is faster than Batman and still has good senses. Batman's suit sucks doggy.
- - Batman has faster combat speed than Red and Red's senses aren't good enough.
- Batman's win cons in this fight are:
- - Approach Red and beat him up
- - Dodge Red and use KO gas
- - Hit Red with any projectiles
- Red's win cons in this fight are:
- - Shoot Batman
- I don't think the argument about Batman's armor really matters at all. Batman's armor could be consistently upgraded every 3 panels and it still wouldn't matter except to the extent that Red's wolves couldn't pierce it. Hate Song is absurdly powerful and penetrates the armor without exception.
- I don't buy the "combat vs reaction" speed argument. This is kind of a retread of the same argument held last round. Red is Moving And Doing Actions in order to dodge the bullet. It's not like this feat is limited to just his head swiveling anymore than Batman sneaking past dogs is limited to that specific breed.
- I'm split on the stealth argument. Batman is clearly stealthy but all of the stealth scans shown are just kind of "ok" in the context of "person with super eyesight". I am confident Batman has better stealth feats somewhere out there but I wasn't really seeing it this match. I'll cut this even and say any wincons dependent on this are 50/50.
- Ultimately I think the match comes down to "can Red shoot Batman". I do think the "too fast to aim at" scans kind of suck but conversely it is pretty obvious that Batman's method of movement is supposed to be fast enough to dodge some amount of good aim and there just weren't that many great aiming feats shown for Red.
- I'm giving this like a 7-8/10 for Batman. Ame wins this round. If Red being able to aim well was argued more this would be a definite win to Red, but as it is I think Batman can just run towards him and win (or otherwise stealth into the trees).
- Warsman vs Tate
- R1
- - Tate is super bullet timing, has pretty sucky striking and dura but has piercing resistance.
- - Punches through thick metal doors, bullet timing at close ranges, piercing. Same stuff from last round.
- R2
- - Tate can't punch out Warsman and Warsman just cuts though him. Tate doesn't dodge. Warsman can also win in a grapple.
- - Tate is faster than Warsman and his arm has super good piercing resistance. Tate goes for vitals and can fight blind while also having good enough lifting to flip a truck.
- R3
- - Tate's bullet timing feats are from a long range, Warsman is bullet speed. Warsman is also really flexible and agile. Big paragraph of Kinnikuman posting to say Warsman pierces good. Warsman fights blind and can lift buildings. Also has several super-limbs.
- - Tate is faster than bullets and Warsman's piercing isn't up to snuff. Tate also has a higher attack/second rate.
- Tate doesn't have a wincon here. Unless Tate has a piercing option I skipped over, I just don't see how he wins. Warsman is so much stronger than Tate that if he breathes on him Tate will die. I fully agree that Tate is several times faster than Warsman is, but I don't think it matters. He is DPSing against a brick wall.
- I don't think how durable Tate's arm is matters because of this. Warsman can just kill Tate by punching him independent of how durable Tate's arm is supposed to be. I don't know how Warsman lands a blow but it doesn't matter. Tate punching Warsman does not advance his wincon whereas Warsman punching at Tate advances his. If he hits him once he wins, but conversely Tate can hit Warsman indefinitely and still die.
- Warsman wins this round.
- Heavy vs Sarah
- R1
- - Sarah is statue busting and has even better ranged energy blasts. Witchblade is really sharp and she has heat/electricity. She has bullet speed hands and is durable enough to block sniper shots.
- - I remember Heavy from last round.
- R2
- - Sarah only moves one limb at bullet speed, Heavy's whole body is fast. Tendrils moving at crossbow bolt speeds is irrelevant. Heavy is far stronger and more durable than Sarah. RPG feat is piercing and heat. Sarah doesn't use esoterics IC.
- - Heavy dies to Sarah's esoterics and Sarah has range. RPG piercing isn't piercing, but is melting. Witchblade enhances all of Sarah's body, not just her arm. Sarah fights to kill and Ame misspells explicitly.
- R3
- - Character limit! :(
- This was also a pretty short debate. The way I'm seeing this is that Sarah's main wincon is to electrocute Heavy, which requires her to tag him with her tendrils and also use electricity. Heat is out, even Ame conceded that the RPG feat would count as heat resistance, and I think Heavy is clearly durable enough to take Sarah pummeling on him.
- Heavy's wincon is to approach Sarah and kill her with his paws. Heavy can flashstep and dodges attacks 7x faster than a tendril moves.
- I buy that if Heavy's movement speed sucks then the tendrils can potentially electrocute him by just changing direction and sucker-punching him while he stands in one place and dodges. However, Heavy's movement speed was never really contested.
- Heavy just flashsteps to Sarah and does an overhead gorilla smash.
- (I would have personally argued that Sarah's electricity sucks anyways. In all her scans she's just KOing like, random people. Sometimes not even.)
