- Jacs
- Name: Viria
- Sex: Female
- Age: 20
- Appearance: If fiery is a word to describe someone, the fiery is definitely what she is. Born in the volcano town of Lavaridge, she also sports the slightly tanned but otherwise quite caucasian skin-tone of the locals. Her eyes, a shocking blue, must have been passed down by her mother, a native of Slateport.
- Her long red hair isn’t surprising, seeing as Flannery is her cousin. However, her height - a surprising 5’10, allows her to tower over the gym leader. Coupled with her slim body, she is quite the red-headed Amazon.
- Personality: Hot headed and somewhat temperamental, Viria is known to be explosive at times. She has a hard time understanding when other people want to help, preferring to do things her own way.
- Additionally, she is rather ambitious. She can sometimes be blinded by this, refusing to stop and enjoy the moment and would much rather charge ahead.
- She does have a distinct soft spot for any fire types, as she best relates to them.
- If she has a pushing point, it would have to be her height. Being taller than usual had its perks, but now all it is, is a trigger point for her to unleash her rage. She hates being tall, whether or not it had to do with the … very limited amounts of boyfriends she had over the course of her lifetime. If she gets teased about her height, it drives her insane.
- Her angry habit includes ‘huffing’, her angry exhales of air when she is clearly displeased. Though she doesn’t mean it to be, it is almost painfully obvious and it doesn’t require being her pokemon to pick up on her disgust. Of course, she still exhibits surprise when someone does question her about it.
- She does have a soft side, when it comes to talking about her pokemon (when she’s not huffing at them). She loves home cooking, as she doesn’t get it often, and will never turn down a good meal. She also seems to have an amazing sense of direction.
- Viria is also a vegetarian, and has been as she doesn’t support the eating of pokemon. Being also born near a volcano, she gets cold very easily and whenever anywhere warm, she cuddles in Siloh’s fur which is a natural insulator. She doesn’t think much of swimming but loves the hotsprings. She won’t admit it but she is slightly claustrophobic, can’t hold a tune to save her life, and doesn’t see the point at all in contests.
- History: Brought up in a trainer household, Viria was always learning how to fight and use pokemon to her advantage. When she was ten, her starter wasn’t her first choice but she grew to love him anyways. She has a rocky relationship with her brother, but otherwise gets along swimmingly with her parents. Little to her knowledge, she was quite sheltered to the dangers of the pokemon world, but even ten years later, she has yet to run into serious trouble - leading to a rather reckless and ambitious attitude.
- Viria has begun her trainer years a little late, yet still worked hard to earn the seven badges she has now. Her last stop - Rustboro - will be quite a journey for her, but she thinks she can make it.
- Name: Bryn
- Species: Flygon
- Sex: Female
- Age: 11 years (human)
- Notable Appearances: Her long sweeping tail has a scar along the length. She has a signature grin, as well.
- Personality: Bryn acts somewhat as a mediator for Viria. While sporting a temper herself, her default stage is ‘calm’ and not ‘ridiculous’. Though she is super fond of her master, she can sometimes find Viria to be a bit much, and won’t hesitate to call her bluff.
- History: bleh
- Name: Siloh
- Species: Ninetales
- Sex: Female
- Age:
- Notable Appearances:
- Personality: Stuck up, even by a Ninetale’s standards, Siloh is used to being babied and admired. However, don’t be fooled by her attitude at times, she still loves a fight and wields very strong fire and ghost attacks.
- History: Viria’s pride and joy. Siloh was caught as a vulpix, evolving after careful grooming and lots of care. Siloh is used to being pampered, though she does know when to have a good fight, especially during a run in with a particularly angry duskull.
- Name: Vex
- Species: Rotom
- Sex: -
- Age: young
- Notable Appearances: none
- Personality: Truly devilish, Vex is the kind of shit disturbing that Viria didn’t need. Though she is super fond of her Rotom, she also is almost always exasperated with iit. Its antics also doesn’t help - once it finds something to annoy people with, it will abuse that regardless of their relationship. He also likes to come in and out of appliances, as it gives him a rush not unlike drugs.
- History:
- CK
- Name: Craden
- Sex: Male
- Age: 21
- Appearance: -black hair
- -hazel eyes
- -average build
- Personality: introvert. usually keeps to himself, but when he’s around friends, he is more outgoing. he is very loyal to his friends and family, and will be there for them no matter the situation.
- Due to his loyalty, he can be very impulsive at times. he will act upon it without giving a second thought, only to realize after the fact he didn’t think through his actions. despite this, he’s a patient person.
- History: a big fan of Pokemon, he owned a lot of Pokemon paraphernalia prior to starting his adventure as a Pokemon trainer. when he was ten, his starter was the one he always wanted. initially, it didn’t meet up to his expectations, however, with dedicated training and care for his Pokemon, they developed an unwavering bond between each other.
- his relationship with his mom and little sister are very tight. he dotes on his little sister, much to her delight. she loves the attention Craden gives to him.
- Name: Dran
- Species: Marill
- Sex: M
- Age: 10 (human years)
- Notable Appearances: Dran has a notch on his right ear and and egg-shaped belly design, as opposed to a typical round belly design.
- Personality: just like Craden, Dran is very loyal and caring toward his trainer. unlike Craden, Dran keeps his cool in tough situations and is able to think on the spot.
- History: initially Dran didn’t like Craden when they first met. he was reluctant to battle, but after seeing how his personality is, he has come around to his trainer and almost now he takes after him. he is able to perform many water attacks, some of them being Surf and Hydro Pump.
- Name: Eres
- Species: Dragonite
- Sex: Male
- Age: 13 (human years)
- Notable Appearances: his wings are larger than a typical Dragonite. also he has a small belly.
- Personality: because of his abnormal growth of his wings, he is a proud, narcisstic type. he would constantly flap his wings just to see how powerful his gust blows, to the dismay of Dran and Craden. he is easily redirectable, though, when the situation calls for it. nevertheless, he is always focused on the task at hand, but sometimes forgets due to his narcissism.
- History:
- ==================================
- The sun was barely setting, still casting an orange glow on the scenery before her. A redhead, with slightly tanned skin and piercing blue eyes, stumbled rather clumsily off what felt like the umpteenth ledge of the day. “Holy hell trees,” she protested in exasperation. Yes, it was a long trip from Fallabor, but she was finally able to come home for the first time in… what, three years?
- Three years, she reflected. Damn. And last time was because of Christmas.
- Her thoughts were cut off as the ninetales beside her yawned and fluffed her tail indignantly. “Masterrrr,” she complained, “can we rest?” The redhead turned to her pokemon, who was looking rather skeptically back up. The female knew she really didn’t have a choice in the matter, as the ninetales circled once and comfortably nestled down anyways.
- “Siloh, we’re almost there. Really? You got to do this now?” the trainer said indignantly, but settled down otherwise. Her ninetales was a stubborn one, she definitely wouldn’t be able to change her mind once it was set.
- The ninetales named Siloh cracked open an eye and growled lightly. “No master. Besides, you look awful.”
- “Thanks,” the trainer said grudgingly as she pulled out a mirror from her bag. Damn, she did kind of look awful. She blew a stray hair out of her face and tried to rub the dirt off her cheeks. Her ninetales watched, gave a short grunt of disapproval, and nestled her face back into her paws. The redhead rolled her eyes and returned to her impromptu preening. It was only when a semi-large flygon landed before her, did she look up.
- “Viria, you look fine,” said the dragon type.”Besides, I doubt your parents would mind if you had some dirt on your cheek.”
- “Bryn,” Viria, the redheaded girl, said exasperatedly. “It’s more than just that. Lavaridge is welcoming me back, and I can’t look like thi-” The flygon cut her off with a short snort of laughter, making her seethe slightly. “Hey! Just because you wouldn’t understand-”
- “Right, right,” said Bryn dismissively, flicking one wing in indifference. “You said you’d be home by seven..”
- Glancing up, Viria noticed the sky darkening and frowned. “Yeah.. well, whatever. Siloh, get up, we’re going.” The ninetales looked at her and shook out her pelt, shooting Bryn a knowing glance, who rolled her eyes back. The trio walked out of the clearing, arriving at the small but bustling settlement of Lavaridge.
- It wasn’t exactly what she was expecting - no marching band or parade celebrating her return, but it was enough to just be home. She strode past the small and quaint shops, serving the last bits of dinner and teas, as she wove her way towards the gym. Towards her house. Impatience began to build as her pace quickened, but too soon, her flygon blocked her path.
- “You’re not going to heal Vex?”
- “What?” she said rather disgracefully, nearly colliding nose-first into her pokemon’s chest. Oh, right. Her rotom did need a healing. But it could wait-!
- Bryn’s glare made her sigh in response. “Besides,” the flygon said matter-of-factily, “it would only take a few minutes.”
- “You were the one who told me my parents were expecting me at seven,” the redhead responded with a huff. But it was the persistent glare that made her relent, and with a very obvious huff, she headed to the PokeCenter.
- “Just the rotom,” she told the pink-haired attendant as she placed Vex on the counter. She sat down on a bench, huffed once more, and glanced at the clock mounted on the wall. Six fourty five. She guessed she could spare fifteen minutes.

- With the day almost over, Craden, his little sister, named Xalea (pronounced Zay-lee-uh), and Dran, were riding on Eres’ back, coming back from watching the sun set in the sky at a high peak. Eres was able to fly the three home in 5 minutes, since the peak was 100 miles from their home. all but Craden wasn’t too thrilled with the speedy ride home, in Lavaridge, due to him being afraid of fast speed and high altitude.
- “What’s the matter?” said Eres, to Craden, with a look of concern.
- “I’ve told you many times, Eres,” said Craden, with disbelief, “I am unable to handle how fast you’re flying! i get airsick!”
- “Sorry,” said Eres, “I can’t help it. All i want to do is get you guys home quick before the sun goes down!”
- Having heard this way too many times from Eres, Craden storms off into his room, not greeting his mother on the way. Upon realizing this, Eres turns to Xalea, “Did I really overdo it this time?”
- Xalea let out a huge sigh, “Yes, I think you need to slow down when you’re flying. I know you’re proud of your wings. That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t listen to Craden when he tells you to.”
- Craden had shut the door and plopped himself onto his bed. His mother walked to his room, wondering why he hasn’t showed up to the dinner table, much less greeted her when he arrived home.
- “Son?” she said. “Are you okay? Dinner’s ready.”
- “No, Mom. Eres just won’t listen to me,” Craden said. “Why do I even bother with him in the first place?”
- “Just come eat with us. We’ll talk about it after,” said she.
- “All right,” said Craden.
- Craden showed up to the dinner table, Xalea, Dran, and Eres already seated at the table. Silence was all there was. Not a single word was said since Craden and the group just arrived home. All Craden could think about, in addition to Eres being disobedient to him, was getting the Rain Badge from Mossdeep City. It is the last badge he needed to enter the Pokemon League. These thoughts were occupying his mind, until, “Son, I have forgotten to pick up a parcel i left at the Pokemon Center,” said his mom, interrupting his thoughts. “Can you go get it for me, please, when you’re finished with dinner?”
- Craden answered softly, “Yes, Mother,” as he hurried to finish his food. “Dran, you’re coming with me only. It’s only a short trip.”
- Dran replied obediently, “Yes, Craden.” The two left for the Pokemon Center.

- It didn’t take too long for the pinkette to come out holding a great ball. Viria, tapping her feet in anticipation, looked up to catch the Nurse’s attention. The attendant’s eyes brightened and handed her the ball. “Here’s your rotom,” she said in a cheerful voice. “It wasn’t too badly hurt, but try not to let him get too beat up next time.”
- “I will, don’t worry,” Viria said bracingly, taking Vex’s ball back with anticipated fervor. She stretched anxiously and glanced at the clock - she still had five minutes. She cursed under her breath - if she wanted to make it in time for her mothers sweet, sweet pecha berry stew, she better run.
- She wasn’t thinking when she shrugged on her backpack and bolted out of her door, following the roads she memorized as a child. “Left, left, and then a right,” she told herself as the small cars whizzed by in the other direction.
- =====
- With Dran on his back, Craden set out for the familiar road to the Pokemon Center. Still upset with Eres, he had his hands in his jacket pocket. just as he’s about to look down at the ground, in depression, he couldn’t help but notice a traveler stamping in the other direction.
- “Excuse me. You seem to be in such a hurry. Why’s that?” said Craden.
- =====
- Wind catching in her red hair in a flurry, she wasn’t paying attention until she realized the pole she whizzed by was actually another human being. His harmless question flew by, as it took Viria a good few seconds to realize he was actually talking to her. She blinked before shrugging. “I’m going home. Haven’t been home in a few years - look, I really can’t talk right now,” she said, her words tangling in her throat so it came out rather garbled. She threw a glance at the marill on his back. “Cute guy,” she said, though fire types are so much better. She stretched and turned, intent on continuing onwards.
- =====
- “Wait!” exclaimed Craden. “Why are you such in a hurry?”
- All of a sudden her positive vibes suddenly uplifted Craden. He turned around and caught up to her, totally forgetting the favor his mom asked him to do.
