  34. Solutions to troubleshooting FAQ
  35.
  36. 1. Switch your armor paintjob and/or skin color to one not currently selected.
  37.
  38. 2. Verify that windows sets your time and timezone automatically. Resync with microsoft then restart your computer.
  39.
  40. 3. Screenshot the esc menu while in mission and paste in #bug-discussion
  41.
  42. 4. Disable DirectX12
  43.
  44. 5. Do the AMD FX / Realtek audio fix from pinned messages.
  45. Change your windows audio quality to be no higher than 32 bit 192000 Hz.
  46.
  47. 6. You have two options. You can either attempt to dig the points where she turns around or proceed to the drop pod where the door will automatically open with 15 seconds remaining.
  48.
  49. 7. Run the game in fullscreen (not windowed borderless) at your native resolution. If that fails then
  50. Navigate to \steamapps\common\Deep Rock Galactic and right click on FSD.exe
  51. Properties
  52. Compatibility tab
  53. Check disable fullscreen optimizations
  54. Apply and ok
  55.
  56. 8. You can only collect deep dive rewards once per week per deep dive.
  57. Check pinned messages in #deep-dive-discussion and verify that you played this weeks deep dive and not last weeks.
  58. The likely cause is your game thought it was last week. Usually a result of your system clock not being set correctly. Resync it, restart your computer, and try again.
  59.
  60. 9. Navigate to \steamapps\common\Deep Rock Galactic\FSD\Saved\SaveGames and make a backup of those save files.
  61. - Right click the game on steam > properties > general > uncheck the box under steam cloud. If you do not make a backup of your save files, they'll be gone when you delete them.
  62. - Then you're going to uninstall the game.
  63. - Check \steamapps\common\Deep Rock Galactic for any residual files and delete them.
  64. - Redownload the game, but do not move your save files back.
  65. - Launch the game and see if your issue persists. If it doesn't then move your save files back into the SaveGames folder or use the save recovery feature. Also reenable steam cloud.
  66.
  67. 10. Officially no, the game does not support linux. However Proton 5.13-6 works perfectly out of the box with some minor performance losses. Any proton version based on wine 6 needs mfplat.dll to be disabled in order for missions to load (as of 3 April 2021). Performance is essentially a wash between these versions. Search for this dll in your system and change the filename.
  68. Update Proton 6.5-GE-2 works out of the box with no additional modifications needed to mfplat.dll.
  69. Note that as of U34 DX12 will be enabled by default. The game will run fine, but you can disable DX12 in the ingame options if you want.
  70.
  71. 11. Navigate to \steamapps\common\Deep Rock Galactic\FSD\Saved\WindowsNoEditor\Config and open GameUserSettings.ini with your favorite text editor. Find a line for DX12 and disable it.
  72.
  73. 12. This is a DirectX 12 issue. Go into ingame settings (ESC > Options > Graphics) and disable it.
  74.
  75. 13. As of U34 the game uses dx12 on launch as a default. Unlike step 12, you'll be unable to change this setting ingame. Go to FSD/saved/config/windowsnoeditor and open gameusersettings.ini with your favorite text editor.
  76. Change this line to false. bPreferD3D12InGame=
