[18:19] Kofe drags the woman along, taking her to his room in the palace of all places. It made sense considering what he called Ilburg's leader, after all. He takes a seat on the ground, inviting Elizabeth to do the same before he speaks up.

"First, how are you?"

[18:19] Elizabeth Amor says, "Well.. I've seen better days to be honest."
[18:19] Kofe says, "Tell me."
[18:20] Elizabeth Amor asks, "It's.. Really dumb girl stuff, trust me! It'd bore you to death.. How are you and Alice?"
[18:20] Kofe says, "I'm not answering until you tell me."
[18:21] Elizabeth Amor says, "Jeez Kofe.."
[18:22] Kofe's left hand reaches out for Elizabeth's, settling atop it. Yellow eyes peer right into hers, searching for her truth.

"I care, 'liz. Tell me."

[18:23] Elizabeth Amor says, "Well, I just.. I was crying a little bit ago is all.."
[18:24] Kofe asks, "Why's that?"
[18:25] Elizabeth Amor says, "Just.. It was because I had a crush on a boy and.. Sadly he rejected me. I wasn't good enough I guess."
[18:27] Elizabeth said, her eyes moving down to her hands, slightly picking at her fingers skin in a bad habit.

"Seems sometimes like I never am. It's either used or be used; otherwise ignored and thrown out is all." She said, her voice getting scratchy as it brought recent emotions back to the surface.

"I should've probably said something sooner, or done more for him. Instead, I bundled myself up and just tried to enjoy seeing him at times or being around him. The noble life is rough though, since that rarely happened. Rather then a song, I should've spent more time being better."

[18:38] Kofe listened to the woman as she poured her heart out. He could tell there was something that bothered her already during their last meeting, but this was on a whole other level. He hadn't expected Elizabeth's self-esteem to hit rock bottom and for her heart to be crushed more than it already was. Her words, her feelings, all of them poured into a... song. Of all things.

It's almost as if Kofe's calling had grabbed him by the hand and pulled him right into this situation. He drew in a deep breath, nodding slightly.

"I... understand how you feel. I've felt like that before. I thought I was good enough for her, then tried to become better to get her attention but that just wasn't enough." He said, taking a pause as he reached behind his back, shifting around a lute to sit on his lap and in his hands.

"Let me.. tell you about it."

Where Elizabeth had prepared a song to tell of her love, Kofe had lived through the sadness of an impossible relationship. His very feelings, his emotions, his story was poured into every pluck of the strings, every strum of his lute, every shift of melody. It's without saying a single word that he attempted to communicate his feelings to the woman. He'd pour his heart out and try to reach hers.

Sadness. A deep, dark sadness is how it all felt at the start, only for light to pierce through it all. To change the world, to change the whole melody and mask this initial darkness. The days were good, life was still the same, but in the back remained those notes of despair. The more it advanced, the more that pain seeped into the beautiful dream that had been setup. Kofe's heart had been... wounded, clearly. The story wasn't all that clear, but from the notes he played it was significantly sadder than he seemed to be in his everyday life. As if life had became a nightmare with the occasional sprinkle of dream.

A love that destroyed him, shattered his heart in the deepest parts, and... seemed to have stuck with him.

Those emotions were all poured out. No words were said, but a story was told. One of an impossible love.

Hopefully, Elizabeth could understand the melody's deeper meaning.

[18:54] Elizabeth stayed silent the entire time, listening in. Closing her eyes she bobbed her head a few times occasionally truly letting her ears appreciate the beautiful sound Kofe made.

While she was a singer and dancer, Kofe was the mastermind behind music; it's very vital soul. The instrumentals.

A small tear slowly fell down the girls face, a sniff following. She could understand this sentiment that Kofe provided.. She's lived through it. It was a story that Kofe would have to ask, but simply remembering the days of her youth, and the abuse she went through?.. Her nose was quickly stuffed and her tears only growing.

"That's a beautiful melody Kofe.. It's so.. Sad, but.. Just like the story behind it, despite the odds there's always a chance to push through.. There'll always be that hidden light."

Elizabeth slowly scooted closer to Kofe, pressing her hand against the boys chest; specifically where his heart was located.

"It'll always be there to help you through the darkest of times, Kofe.. I.. I know things must be difficult in your own relationship, Princess Alice being a royal, and you being a Rhoynish. But, love.. Love is a cruel and blind master. But it's through the gifts that love gives you that you can enjoy this world.. That you can view the good within it."

Elizabeth paused for a few moments, noticing the shaking of her unused right hand that simply laid atop of her lap.

Slowly moving it closer to her own face, she wiped some of the tears away.

"I'll always be here to talk to you about relationships, Kofe. I'll always have my doors open to show you just where that light remains even in the darkest of nights."

[19:01] The young man allowed his emotions to be given to Elizabeth piece by piece. For Elizabeth to take it in, to speak her heart out, too. It was obvious that he had touched her heart, that she could understand what he had been through, even if vaguely. She was no monster, and so it reached her. Could her eventually reach the likes of that Nethradin? Could his tunes speak a story of their own?

Maybe. Maybe one day.

"It's... not all love." He finally revealed. His left hand slowly rose up to his chest to sit atop Elizabeth's own as his eyes fell down towards the floor. A bit of truth coming out, as promised.

"I like Alice. I like her a lot. But... What I had with that other girl was different. It was stronger. It made me unable to really think about anyone else. I wouldn't break Alice's heart, 'liz, but... It's just not as strong as what I felt back then."

He shook his head. That deep darkness of his being unveiled a bit more. Through words this time. His lips parted as he leaned in closer, forehead pressing up against the woman's own.

[19:01] Kofe says, "You have... lots of love to give."
[19:01] Kofe says, "I can see it."
[19:01] Kofe says, "... I wasn't lying when I said I would take you out on a date if I wasn't with Alice back then."
[19:02] Kofe says, "And maybe-"
[19:02] Kofe says, "Maybe I'm not meant to be with her."
[19:02] Elizabeth Amor says, "Aha, you'll make me blush silly.. But who's this other girl you're talking about..? You also shouldn't say such things, not.. Not yet at least Kofe.."
[19:04] Elizabeth gently cupped Kofe's cheeks, moving forward to kiss the boys forehead.

"I have lots of love to give, because it's all the love I couldn't have myself as a child. I was left without a family at a rather young age, and had to do.. Things I would regret for the rest of my life.. But I did it to reach where I am now.."

[19:04] Elizabeth Amor says, "But relationships are a two way street.. You should never fully decide something yourself."
[19:07] Kofe looked up as that kiss was dropped on his forehead, then back down towards Elizabeth. It was a sensitive subject, one that the woman certainly had a great interest in seeing flourish. He answered her question first.

"An old friend of mine. She's... still around, but I've learned to let go. I just... think I might've grabbed onto the wrong love when I did let go. If it weren't the case I..."

He took a breath in, his eyes staring right into hers.

".. I don't think I'd be looking at you this way. Maybe people shouldn't be all hoping for incredible success out of that marriage. I... haven't proposed yet. Maybe.. I shouldn't."

[19:10] Elizabeth Amor asks, "Hoping for success..?"
[19:10] Kofe says, "They all see it as this thing that could change the world."
[19:11] Kofe says, "I don't even know if it'll happen."
[19:11] Elizabeth Amor says, "..I think you misread my enjoyment of the news Kofe-- I was excited because I'm so happy to know someone I cherish could find someone else he'd love and care for."
[19:11] Elizabeth Amor exclaims, "I don't care of the political side of your marriage, if anything it can go bugger off!"
[19:12] Elizabeth Amor says, "I just want you to be happy."
[19:12] Kofe asks, "... Do you think only Alice can make me happy?"
[19:14] Elizabeth Amor says, "I think if you give her a chance.. It could; but sadly I'm not all knowing.. If I was, I would've prevented all these wars from happening. The people of Esshar deserve better-- And I wholeheartedly blame myself for it. I work hard every day cooking, stiring potions, crafting armors and weapons.. Not to provide for this cataclysm.. But to one day provide for everyone.."
[19:16] Elizabeth Amor says, "Because I know if I can stop this cycle of perpetual sadness, it could ignite a bit of hope and peace within everyone. I want for a child to be born and have their parents. I want their parents to be able to provide for their children-- To assure them a warm meal.."
[19:16] Kofe says, "..."
[19:16] Kofe says, "You're a good person, Elizabeth."
[19:17] Elizabeth Amor says, "and I know my dreams are large and wild. I know they seem unrealistic, but I'm determined to make them come true; Part of that dream includes making those I love, like yourself, Kofe, Happy."
