Entity in a box

For protection?

This small box is perfectly square and made of polished ebony, every inch of it inlaid with silver glyphs and sigils. A large dome of obsidian sits on what could only be the lid, though there are no hinges or seams that would indicate that the box could even be opened. Sporadically, a hint of light can be seen whorling within the stone for mere moment before going out again.

Alternate: This small box is perfectly square and made of polished ebony, but is otherwise unremarkable.

A riotous rainbow light flares within the obsidian stone upon a small, ebon box and disappears in a flash. A tiny pin-prick of black and purple appears at its center and begins to grow, roiling and whorling like a storm cloud until it comprises the whole of the stone and an entity of shadow and Chaos erupts from the tiny box, filling the room with its terrible presence.

Alternate: Spidery glyphs and sigils appear upon the surface of a small ebony box accompanied by a high-pitched keening. When the noise and light become too much for you to bear, the box disintegrates and a terrible presence rushes from the void left behind to fill the room.

TOUCH BOX

Outsider:
You reach out and touch a small, ebon box. As your fingers graze the obsidian dome upon its surface, you notice that it is unnaturally cold.  A light catches the corner of your eye but is gone before you can discern the source leaving a heavy shadow to linger upon your mind.

Occultist:
You reach out and touch a small, ebon box. The obsidian dome warms beneath your touch and some unknown presence presses warmly up against the edges of your senses.

The box requires sacrifices of blood/karma in order to keep the entity inside in good humor.

Not hungry:

Alternate (Visible to you) A placid blue light blooms behind your eyes and fades away.

Hungry:
(Visible to you)A red glow blooms in your mind and beings to pulse.
(Visible to all)A small ebony box trembles slightly and emits a short hum.

Very hungry:
(Visible to you)Red and yellow light flares urgently in your mind's eye as the small ebon box shudders and emits a low rumbling.
(Visible to all)A small ebony box shudders violently and emits a low rumbling sound.

Blood:
You cut your palm, placing the wound upon the obsidian dome set into a small ebon box. A low humming emanates from the box and you feel slightly drained. When you remove your hand, the wound is healed and there is no trace of blood on your skin or the pristine surface of the dark glass.

Karma:
You focus your will on your karma reserves, placing both hands upon the dome set into a small ebon box. A multicolored light appears beneath your palms and a low humming emanates from the box as you impart your karma.
