  6. 01[17:14] <Sue> Susan took a deep breath as she peered toward the T.V, right now she was catching up on her favorite cartoon, 'My Little Ponies: Friendship is magic' the young women does enjoy her daily dosage of colorful talking ponies that do random things and go on magical adventures. It makes her feel young again. Right now dressed in a lose fitting sundress and her long brown hair is tied back in a high ponytail. A big ol' bowl of popcorn sits in front of her, and every so often she pops one of the savory pieces of buttery goodness into her mouth, is this followed by a loud, almost inhuman lustful purrr.
  7. 03[17:38] * Matthew (PS@Test-7D503E44.lightspeed.miamfl.sbcglobal.net) has joined #vandeviere
  8. [17:40] <Shadow> Arden came downstairs with a concerned expression on his features. It was lost only for a brief moment as he took notice of what Sue was watching. An amused smile appeared on his face. What a little kid! It was so cute though. She was, that is. "Excuse me... Miss Bell...? You wouldn’t happen to know anyone with a nurse cutie mark would you?" He questioned, attempting to be a geek for just
  9. [17:40] <Shadow> a moment. "It seems our Australian song pony is a tad ill." He told the woman, only to look rather akward then. "...To be fair... It sounded -much- better in my head..."
  10. 01[17:51] <Sue> Susan looked up from her program and snerked a little. "That was horrible, very horrible indeed." She said turning toward the golden hair pretty boy. "But if you need a nurse pony." she reached behind her back and pulled out a cute pair of baby blue pony ears. Quickly she slide them onto her head. "The Nurse Cutie Bell is on her way.." A deepl blush colored her face as she turned her eyes away from the one she was possible crushing on. "It keeps the children happy, and makes there trip to ER less tramatizing.." She said standing up and turning off the T.V "Well after you then."
  11. [18:01] <Shadow> Arden’s face turned rather red as Susan teased him and he gave her a little pout. "Yes, well... If you tell anyone, I’ll deny it." He told her, feeling his cheeks grow even hotter when she put on her baby blue pony ears. He opened his mouth several times to say something more but everything that threatened to come to his lips was dirtier than the last and there were teenagers in the
  12. [18:01] <Shadow> room! "...Right... Well... Come along then." The man finished awkwardly. "And... You -do- realize that we’re talking about -Lyric-, right...? I was hoping the Australian bit would tip you off. Something tells me he isn’t going to appreciate those ears of yours as much as you might think..."
  13. [18:02] <Shadow> With that said, Arden lead her up to Lyric's room and knocked on the door. There was no answer.
  14. [18:04] <Matthew> The thick, lush red velvet curtains of the library were drawn shut closing out all traces of light. A few candles were lit at one of the large wooden desks where some fresh roses were recently set. A rose incense had been lit in key points of the warm yet low lit library. The double doors were left open invitingly this evening. A towering figure seemed to reside with in this room this
  15. [18:04] <Matthew> after noon. His heels clicked gently against the cold hard floor. Dressed in dark form fitting breathers he fashioned a deep, rich, wine red waist coat. White gloves hands looked over watch checking the time over before he pocketed it moving to pick up a horse haired bow. He removed his gloves setting them aside as he lightly resin'ed the bow. A soft somber whistling tune rang out garnering
  16. [18:04] <Matthew> a smooth legato. As the Celtic like tune faded from his lips he pressed the bow to it's rightful place and soon the violin's music poured in to the air lilting out notes of the song. Each masterfully embellished... the music started slow and soft but it eased in to a faster tempo.
  17. [18:06] <Matthew> breeches--
  18. 01[18:16] <Sue> Susan stopped and blinked and blinked again. There was something in the air, something mellow and calm. "Never you mind, I've seen many sick boys in my time. When there sick, they become almost like children. Even teenagers in there glory, become child like, I've seen haughty cheerleaders beg for Disney movies and popcorn and pizza. I've seen grown men, who's face light up with glee when I offer to read them a passage from Peter Rabit or something." She then snapps her fingers. "Thats it, Shining Andren, I need you go fetch me the best selection of children stories you can find. Something a boy would like you know." She said gently passing a swat on his bottom. "You go do that, and I'll deal with striken music pony." She said smiling as she titled her ears one way to the other. "Well, here goes goes nothing, can't be worst than the tram crash a few weeks ago."

  24. [18:30] <Shadow> Arden gave the woman even more of a pout when spoke of how even grown -men-, when sick enough, acted like young children. He was just -waiting- for her to accuse -him- personally of such a thing! Just waiting! But she didn’t. If she had though, he most certainly would have corrected her!
  25. [18:30] <Shadow> "Well... Alright. If you say s-...Aah!" Arden cried out with surprise as Susan slapped his rear! For a momemt or two he simply stood there. Then, he turned around and pinned her right to the door with her wrists above her head! There was a charming yet predatory smile on his lips. "Miss Bell... People don’t -normally- get away with slapping my rear like that... I’ll allow it this time...
  26. [18:30] <Shadow> because you’re dealing with a sick boy. But next time..." He continued, leaning in close to whisper into her ear. "I’m going to treat you like a naughty little girl... Understand...?" then, with that said, he slowly released her wrists and heading off to the library to find a book. Susan had very much put the man in a dominating mood.
  27. 01[18:41] <Sue> Susan blinked and blinked again as she was pinned upon the door frame. her cheeks where flushing with color . oh god.. oh god that sounded so wonderful, so wonderful indeed. "Hey! Don't leave!" She called out with a cute little pout. "things where just getting fun." she said sticking her lip out. "I bet it would fun to be your naughty little girl.." She said rolling her eyes as she opened the door. She paused and took a deep breath. 'damn that man, getting be all flustered like that.' she thought as she stepped into the bedroom. "Hey, not feeling to well are we?" She said moving toward the bed.
  28. [18:49] <Matthew> The sighing of the bow continued as Matthew continued to play the song. He eases about the room eyes closing for a moment as he listening to the sweet humming sound that reverberated from the instrument. The tall figure turned about with a keen sense, bright vibrant gem like eyes fluttering open as a predatory gaze settled on the door way hearing the faint sounds of movement. His playing
  29. [18:49] <Matthew> did not stop just yet as the towering man takes in the tall figure with his cold, diamond chipped eyes. A tight lipped smile graced over his features taking note of Arden's body language. Slowly the song drew to end of it's crescendo and faded down to it's finale. The soft somber purple colored smoke form the incense had been whisked about the area from such vivacious movements. The violin
  30. [18:49] <Matthew> and Bow were drawn away with ease but soon he pointed the bow up and then offered a strange gentle bow of greeting, swiping the bow straight down with a swift flick of his wrist. With such grace and fluid movement it was almost... eerie. His gaze rested on Arden squarely for a few moments, his eyes seemed to almost glow, catching what little light existed in this room. There was something
  31. [18:50] <Matthew> off about this man, and it wasn't just his intimidating height or peculiar sharp features. "Good after noon." His rich, smooth, voice purrs in greeting before an amused tone soon follows. "A bit old to need a tutor, aren't we?" He asks keeping his amused expression to a minimum.
  32. [19:27] <Shadow> Arden merely chuckled as he walked off, refusing to look back at her. He didn’t -need- to look as he knew full well what kind of effect he had, had on the woman.
  33. [19:27] <Shadow> When Susan opened the door, Lyric was curled up on the bed facing the wall with a thick blanket pulled up to his chin.
  34. [19:27] <Shadow> Lyric shivered a bit and hugged the blanket tighter as he felt the door open again. When he heard Susan’s voice, he groaned. He had been trying so very hard to avoid her since his punishment and yet here she was in his room. "...I’m fine..." The boy grumbled, and then let out a soft whimper despite himself. He would have given anything for his nausea to disappear. Other than his soul.
  35. [19:27] <Shadow> To Susan. The Devil Woman. "...Go away..."
  36. [19:27] <Shadow> Arden paused only briefly to notice the violin player as he walked into the library. He might have let his curiosity overcome him except that he had a duty to perform. Immediately, he went over to the children’s section and began to look for a book that a boy like Lyric might like. The chances were slim of that, he was sure, but he was still going to give it his best attempt.
  37. [19:27] <Shadow> Arden more or less tried to ignore the man, but something about him made the newly hired adult especially sensitive of every movement made by the cold eyed man. Despite his unease, he offered him an amused smile. "Just a bit. But then, aren’t -you- a bit old to be walking around without a nurse?" Arden teased, no doubt making a crack at the man’s snow white hair.
  38. [19:27] <Shadow> Arden then pulled out a book full of Grimm’s Fairy Tales. Even Lyric would enjoy that, most likely. Though just in case, he decided to pick a second book.
  39. 01[19:37] <Sue> "Sorry, I'm under orders." Susan said walking over to the bed. "A little birdie told me that you where feeling ill." She said placing her hand upon his forehead. "But have no fear, Nurse Cutie Bell is here." She said pointing to her pony ears. On secound thought, this might indeed be worst than the tram crash, at least those fellows talked and chuckled. "So tell nursie what the problem is, she has just the cure in her magical bag of wonderment." Sue was trying way to hard.
  40. [19:47] <Matthew> Matthew moved to settle the bow and Violin in to their respective silk lined case.
  41. [19:47] <Matthew> "Mn... I find the new bloods most often can't keep up. " Matthew offers taking note of which book was touched from such a difference. "Bother's Hmnn? Tiss the season I suppose with all Hallow's eve creeping up. " He offers keeping a playful tone though as he closed and latched the case he drew away from his plaything and drew closer. His shoes didn't seem to click against the floor this
  42. [19:47] <Matthew> time. A subtle difference to say the least. His presence seemed to draw a chill as he drew rather close. "Might I suggest a British Literature of..." A dark mat black painted nail settles uppon a tome before drawing out a book with out so much as having to read or look. Almost as if he had memorized every placement of every book in the entire room. The book he drew forth was Alice's Adventures
  43. [19:47] <Matthew> in Wonderland, by Lewis Carroll. He offered the tome over seeming to have no problem drawing closer to the other as he peered down. Uppon closer inspection it was easy to tell Matthew wasn't very old, but rather well in his prime.
  44. [20:15] <Shadow> "Unng... Get off...!" Lyric responded moodily, pushing her hand away, though he did so rather weakly. His forehead had been quite warm to the touch. Hot even. Then, when the woman referred to herself he turned over just enough to give her an odd look which only became odder when he noticed her pony ears. His face was rather pale. "...Ya look ridiculous... Forget how ya sound..." Lyric
  45. [20:15] <Shadow> informed her bluntly. Still, if that was the worst remark he had for her, they were doing well. He looked like he wasn’t sure if he should be more disgusted or amused by her appearance. "An’ if ya must know... I’ve got a ache in my head, I feel like I’m goin’ ta bloody retch, an I’m as cold as a dead dog. -That’s- what’s wrong with me... Oh... an’ -your- here..." Lyric
  46. [20:15] <Shadow> added, proving that he could hold quite a grudge.
  47. [20:15] <Shadow> Arden smirked a little at Matthew’s comment. "Can’t they? Clearly you haven’t spoken to Miss Bell then. She’s got energy to spare." He told the man. "Hmm, you’re right. I guess it is. I’d almost forgotten about Halloween." He admitted, standing up as the man approached him. Arden couldn’t help but tense a little as the man came close, though he tried not too. He took the book
  48. [20:15] <Shadow> with a smile and read the cover. "Huh. Haven’t heard this one since I was very little. Can’t say it ever appealed to me. It might appeal to the boy I’m getting it for though. Thanks." Arden said politely, making sure to grab A Nightmare Before Christmas as well. -Everyone- seemed to like that one.
  49. 01[20:53] <Sue> Susan blinked and blinked again. "I think you need to come with me, up you go.' she said taking a deep breath. "Nurse Cutie Bell knows when she over her head." she said patting the boy. "Don't worry my boy, your going to ride first class all the way." She said in a cheerful manner. "Or I could give you a shot and see if that will help.. hmm sounds like you have a cold, or the flu or something.. we've been seening alot of that at the hospital." She brushed off his comments about her being odd instead she only smirked. "Would you perfer kitten ears instead."
  50. [21:08] <Shadow> Lyric whined softly as he was forced to get up and immediately held his stomach as they headed for the door. "Ovah your-... head...? You’re a bloody nurse... an’ I don’t think the cat ears would he-..." The boy continued only to pause suddenly. “M-Miss Bell, I-..." Lyric began in a surprisingly submissive tone, and then collapsed.
  51. [21:08] <Shadow> Arden came up the stairs just in time to see the boy pass out. His eyes went wide and he quickly dropped the books he was carrying to rush forward and scoop the boy up into his arms. He didn’t go to med school but he was pretty damn sure that things were getting serious. "Grab the books and bring the car out front! I’ll carry him!" Arden told her, already headed for the stairs.
  52. 02[21:18] * Matthew (PS@Test-7D503E44.lightspeed.miamfl.sbcglobal.net) Quit (Ping timeout)
  53. 01[21:24] <Sue> Susan blinked and blinked again. "Normaly when people pass out.. they pass out in the E.R surround by sexy nurses and bare shirt doctors." She said blinking a little as she pulled out her phone and rushed down the stairs to fetch the moter carriage. After a few minutes of swearing in latin, greek and a little hebrew for taste she got the thing pulled up. Without much though she open the passager size as she chatted away with the hospital. Having connections with the hospital counted for something, it also made her think. How best should she respond to this, she could treat somebody who was a total stranger to her, but she had a personal connection to this boy.. this boys life could very well depend on her. "Come on you lot!" She shouted as she rushed into the living room. "If we hurry we could get a room or something, don't want to put on the short list now do we!" She bellowed as her Anglo-Irish roots came out as she switched to her native tongue. Her Grandmother had been born in Ulster till he crossed the pond. Quickly she picked up a pillow and a blanket.
  54. [21:35] <Shadow> "I guess it’s a strange day for all of us~!" Arden responded in a strained voice as he hurriedly yet carefully carried the boy downstairs, unaware of Susan’s driving skills or lack thereof. When Susan shouted at him, Arden looked quite indignant. "Just who are you talking to exactly, young lady?! -You- try carrying this boy! He’s heavy!" The man announced as he stepped outside and
  55. [21:35] <Shadow> carefully put Lyric in the back of the vehicle. He then slid in beside him and buckled them both up. "I’m not worried about -rooms-. I’m worried about his health." The man told her when she finally got into the car. Now let’s go!"
  56. [21:35] <Shadow> Into the car"*
  57. 01[21:42] <Sue> "I'm worried about a room. No charge of mine is going to stuffed into a side room. Bloody lump of coal dust, bloody lump of metal." She said jumping into the drivers seat. "Hold on for dear life, where going to bust into that room like donkey cong." She said grinning like a she devil as she flew into the night. What followed was possible the most horrible fifteen minutes of the fellows life as Sue weaved in and out of traffic. "Okay, here the plan." She said slowly down as they neared the hospital. "I'll get the fellows to help with the boy, I'll get suited up ay, full dress, pin and everything. Then we roll the boy back there, get him seening. And also.. next time you call me a little girl, give me a chance to get all prim and proper."
  58. [21:57] <Shadow> Arden couldn’t believe that the woman was so worried about getting him into a proper room. The time to think about such prideful things was when there -wasn’t- an emergency! At least as far as he was concerned. "Hold on for-... You’d better be joking..." The man warned her. Unfortunately, she wasn’t. In fact, she drove like a maniac! So much so, that Arden asked her to pull over
  59. [21:57] <Shadow> several times and even threatened to spank her when this was all over if she didn’t! But of course, Miss Bell was one very determined woman.
  60. [21:57] <Shadow> "Oh... Well... Thank you for thinking of me..." Arden responded dryly as she finally slowed down and told him that the ‘boys’ would help with Lyric while he clung like a cat to the seat and car door. "Because I’m pretty sure I won’t be going anywhere fast..." The man continuing, noting that his legs felt like jelly after that ride! "And the next time I call you little girl... will
  61. [21:57] <Shadow> be when you’re over daddy’s lap for disobedience and recklessness..." Needless to say, he wanted to kill her. "Oh look... I think color is starting to sloooowly drain back into my face." Arden added very sarcastically.
  62. 01[22:10] <Sue> Susan blinked and blinked again. "I'll be sure to wear my victorian serect panties when I go across your lap, and maybe a maids dress too, a nice silky french maid dress." She said puffing out her cheeks. With that being said she reached down into her purse and fulled out a fiver. "There coffee in the waiting room and if you need something a little stronger, there a nice little pup down the lane. You look kind of pale, I hope your not coming down sick yourself." She said jumping out of the car. On cue two fellows in white coats came out to greet her. Quickly she pointed the back seat of the car and said something to them in a very stern tone of voice. Her words, could not be heard, but there must have been some force behind them for the two men gently lifted the boy onto waiting gurry and rolled him into the E.R, Sue followed. her head tossed back, her eyes cold as ice and every part of her body totally under her command. "Once you've collected yourself, come in. I'll get the boy checked in, and given a proper room. I'll be damned if somebody from my household is force to wait in the lobby." And with that she smoothed out her dress. A women fixing her clothing was a sure sign that she was getting ready to brawl.
  63. [22:31] <Shadow> "Good." Arden huffed, folding his arms across his chest. He looked very much like the little boy that Susan knew him to be. Of course, saying that was asking for it. "And don’t think you’re little bribe is going to get you out of trouble, missy!" He added as she gave him a five and left the car. "And I’m perfectly fit! Fit enough to deal with -you- anyway!" The man called out. Or he
  64. [22:31] <Shadow> would be, once he gained his sea legs again.
  65. [22:31] <Shadow> As Susan matched off to talk to the two men, Arden could help but watch her a bit longingly. She was a terrible driver and really needed to get her priorities straight, but she also had a heart of gold and a mind of her own. The way she commanded respect was quite impressive. When she called out to him, he gave her a simply wave to show that he had heard and watched her go in.
  66. [22:31] <Shadow> After a short time, Arden got out of the car, locked up, took the books and the fiver and went inside. From there, he sat down inside the waiting room with a cup hot cup of coffee. At first he was denied access to the room because he wasn’t family and if he was the guardian as he claimed, he would need to fill out paperwork but then, strangely enough, a blind woman who had been in and
  67. [22:31] <Shadow> out of there more times then she could count, helped him sneak passed the doctors and nurses until he finally researched the room Lyric was in.
  68. [22:31] <Shadow> By this time, the boy’s fever had gone down some and he was sleeping with relative normalcy.
  69. [22:31] <Shadow> "Miss Bell...?" Arden said softly as he entered. "Is the boy alright...?"
  70. 01[22:40] <Sue> "The boy is fine. He need some drips and I put those in myself. Give him three or four days here, always from house, I think stress finally broke the boy. A stranger in a strange land, no kip or kin to call his own like most boys at the house." she said sighing. "Its hard I know it, my grandfather never stopped missing Bellfast or Ulster." She took a deep breath as she reached down and squeezed his hand. "Don't worry there little one, Nurse Cutie Bell is here." She said peering over everything. "Everything seems normal, IV's are in proper order, no blood flowing through tubes that good. Drips are lowering his fever, That good." She stood up and signed. "I might need to work on my driving though.. honesty thats why I take the tram or the train."
  71. [22:58] <Shadow> Arden nodded. "I think so too. Although... He does have -one- kin. Nikias I think his name is...? Nikki? Nick? I’m still working on names. Not sure what a kip is." He admitted as he came closer. When she stood up and told him that her driving skills needed work, Arden gave her a soft smile and then gently pulled her close to him for a hug. "It’s alright... I know you were just frightened."
  72. [22:58] <Shadow> The man told her, giving her back a little rub before pulling back a little to look into her eyes. "Tell you what... I’ll help you if you let me. Or I’ll find someone else that you’d prefer to drive with. But together, we’ll make you safer driver, alright? Because when you drive like that, you put everyone from yourself to your passengers at risk." He explained gently. "To the point
  73. [22:58] <Shadow> where it might have been safer to combat the fever at home. And furthermore... I’d hate for Van to lose a good nurse and an even better woman."
  74. 01[23:10] <Sue> "Next time you'll drive then." She said blushing as she pulled into a hug. Quickly she broke away from the hug. "You should get some rest." She said taking a deep breath. "We have a break room with a roll out bed at the end of the hall." Without a secound thought she handed him her ID Badge. "Tell them your with Susan, they should let you in. There no sense in both of us going without sleep tonight." She said patting him on the shoulder.
