- Changing my theme, how will affect my rankings?
- So, if I have some posts in the good position, and I want to switch theme from one that scores 80 on gtmetrix to one more lightweight that scores 96, in the short term this will affect my rankings?

- I wanted to comment about this before Since you had it into consideration already. I'm sure you're ok.

- Actually any changes to your website will cause it to fluctuate a little in the process - be it comments or an update to the content or even your theme.
- But if the theme is actually better (less error in coding, load faster, or has better mobile support), then those factors can improve the ranking in the process - just don't assume that it will improve overnight - it may take 1-2 weeks or 1 month if your site is slow in getting updated.
- i don't think it will effect your ranking... you can do it

- No, will not affect your ranking. I had a site that got wiped out at the host and was gone from the serps for about a week. I recreated the site with a different theme but same content and boom it's back up the serps to where it was before.

- Agree! you might see a "bump"(even the smallest) in the beginning but an improvement might help you in the long run. good luck
- Still, I wouldn’t say that I have had a fall. Anything that has ever gone wrong has helped me learn and develop, although one of the things I do a lot is broken sites. I’m always tinkering away with them and more often than not, I break them.
- Indeed, I have learned the hard way on more than one occasion to back up!
- #10. Yourself writing content on your blog Vs. Outsourcing it to any professional writers; what do you say? Do you get from writers what you exactly have in mind, to present?
- As the old saying goes – if you want anything done right, do it yourself.
- That is because “what is right” is subjective so while it may be right for one person, it’s wrong for another.
- This is especially true in writing when there are literally millions of ways to approach the same task.
- But if you are going to outsource your writing – make sure you’re very specific with your requirements, writing guidelines, brand guidelines along with what the article should cover and what it shouldn’t cover in detail.
- #11. Do you think that Guest Blogging still has its significance?
- So before you start, know why you are doing guest posting in the first place.
- Once you know why you’re doing it, you want to find blogs to guest post on.
- Here are a few tips to help you:
- Emulate Successful Guest Posters
- The easiest way to find the blogs that accept guest posts is to find out who does guest posting regularly, which is common in almost all niches.
- You can find these bloggers by checking out a blog that accepts guest posters and looking at the author list and then searches their name on Google.
- If you’re familiar with your niche, you will notice the people who appear on multiple blogs. These are the ones you should try to emulate.
- Search for their name on Google. Better yet, search for their profile image on Google images because they tend to use the same image as a profile pic.
