Rules for the Shields

GOLDEN RULE. THIS IS NOT SOMETHING YOU WILL BE BANNED FOR, BUT FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DO NOT FLY WITHOUT A REBUY. Either get in multicrew with someone and get a bit more cash until you have at least one rebuy, or if it's more than what multicrew can get, buy a cheap ship, outfit it and use it until you have the money.

GOLDEN RULE #2: NO. FUCKING. COMBAT LOGGING. Cloggers will be banned, blacklisted and put on the KOS list. Period. If you're flying in open, expect to be attacked. It's Elite: DANGEROUS, not Elite: SAFETYPIN

1. While I personally have no issue with griefing, I will ask that those who are griefers do not teach new players how to do so. If you want to teach them to PVP, go ahead, but until they are more experienced in how the community interacts with everyone and experienced in how the game works, I will ask that you don't teach newbies how to grief.

2. Respect your higher ups. If they give you an order, follow it. However, if they, or moderator is abusing their authority, either go through the chain of command, or the council members. Provide evidence of this, screenshots, audio recordings, anything you can use.

3. Goes without saying, but no racial/homophobic/transphobic slurs.

4. Respect your peers. Newbie or not, everyone here is an equal. If someone is having an issue playing, help them out, that's what we're here for.

5. No spamming. Period. Also, if you want to promote your own group, PLEASE go through the council members or myself before posting anything.

6. Moderators are to be vetted by the council members AND myself, so if any of them are abusing their power, PLEASE inform the council IMMEDIATELY so they can be dealt with. When you do this, be sure to provide plenty of evidence. Screenshots, recordings, anything you can get your hands on. Corruption will be punished and dealt with harshly.

7. If you want to be a flight leader for a squadron, you are required to know the role you are applying for. IE: If you're applying for the leader role in an exploration flight, you need to know how to create basic exploration vessels as flight leaders are essentially teachers. If you want to be a leader of a squadron, you have similar responsibilities but you will be responsible for keeping your flights active within the group and doing missions (For an exploration squadron, it could be looking for certain codex entries within a given galactic sector, something like that.)

8. Rely on your fellow SPF members. If a mission or task is too hard for you to handle, or if you need an escort for any mission, don't be afraid to ask for assistance.

9. Regarding the KOS and Bounty lists: Listings are NOT TO BE POSTED OUT OF SPITE. The KOS list is meant for griefers (Primarily those who attack the new players) and combat loggers. This is not meant for rival groups. This is not meant for petty reasons. Similarly, the Bounty List is, of course, for those who want to put a bounty on Cloggers or Griefers. Bounties cannot exceed 1.5 million credits, unless you can prove that you have the balance to pay the bounty hunter that claimed said bounty. As of now, only Flight Leaders and Squadron Leaders can post in these channels, so if you wish to have a bounty posted, or have a griefer/clogger to post in the KOS list, go through a Flight Leader or Squad leader. Bounties are to be paid in valuable commodities.

Each bounty and KOS listing should follow this template when sending these to the flight/squad leader. Please provide evidence for these listings, otherwise it will be ignored. Note: Please send these through the DM's of said flight/squad leader to avoid cluttering other chats.

10. The mission board is for, well, missions only. Things like trading/miner escorts, xenohunting or bounty hunting wings. If the mission is deemed complete by the issuing party, PLEASE edit the post with "(Complete)" after the mission name, or delete the post entirely. When posting a request for help on the mission board, please post how many players you need, what the mission is, and the rewards (gold, low-temp diamonds, or if the rewards will be acquired during the mission.) Here is the template for issuing missions:

Mission Reward: Issued only when the mission is complete, if it's a bounty hunting mission, xeno-hunting mission, anything to do with CZs, or anything you earn money while doing the mission the reward is to be stated as the respective vouchers. Escort missions or missions you cannot earn money while doing are required to have a minimum of five hundred thousand credits worth of valuable commodities, including Void Opals, gold, palladium, platinum etc...

Any additional rewards are to be stated in the issuing post.

11. If you wish to be a moderator, please talk to the council. We will interview you and ensure that you can do the job. If there is no need for a moderator at the moment, please wait until a position is open.
