Anwar Ukitake - Frank's Arrest (10/18)

[02:26] Quite leisurely walking away from this situation, he then finds his path is blocked with a heavy gust, turning around he then gazed upon Moriya uncertain of the other peoples stance upon this particular situation.

He then just stood proudly and puffed out his chest before, grabbing the heft of his arcanium staff and slamming it into the wooden boards of the dojo. Causing a resounding echo within the silent building, other than the blowing winds of Moriya's Magic.

Thus he spoke forth in turn.

"Circumstances? I have done nothing but save your people upon the path to the golden horizon I see within my visions, and in turn reducing their suffering. And yes, we have built our homes upon the bones of your ancestors, but at least they have a second chance at life, although being a pale comparison of Azrael's perfect flawless beings."

A sigh escaped his mouth as even he acknowledged that the undead created were quite poor compared to those of the morninglord himself, but they were damn well working on it!

With that he retorted in turn.

"I will not stand trial, and I King Frank Fucking Armiger, The First, Hero of Agartha, Priest of Dawn, the strongest of Azraels chosen upon this continent will also not be apprehended, not today. Nor tomorrow by the likes of you!"

But he sensed the uncertainty of Yesiria and Zhuge, with that he spoke to them. Pointing his Arcanium staff towards the two indecisive young women, who had been inspired but his sacrifices.

"Do not interfere, If it is honorable bloodshed he wants for his own chosen ideals then he shall receive it. Now let us suffer the pain of Kraus design together Qilin."

[02:28] Zhuge Nanyang says, "If you do not leave as requested, Frank, as per law you're to be put under arrest."
[02:28] "The laws of... Lady Xaio? Moriya blinked through his mask, glancing to each of them, and while the name wasn't particularly clear in his mind...the Qilin was studied, and he spoke with a little more clarity a few moments later. "The General that sent a letter to the first expedition, long ago, yes? The laws you're referencing were not instated."

"In fact, I believe the only orders from Lady Xiao were to host a fair, democratic election. We will need to clarify this later, of course- but this man is a magi, an oscuri, a priest of the necromancers that currently have our people in slavery."

"War was declared long ago. Now..."

As Frank spoke, Moriya looked to the others that were approaching from behind - they had likely been directed by the same children that told him of the Oscuri.


"Heishi. Qilin Anwar. This man is to be held in captivity until the Lord Regent is available. He is dangerous- as you can see, clearly- an oscuri driven by bloodlust and battle. Let us be cautious in taking him."

[02:29] Reishi Guren whispers something.
[02:31] Jack had been watching on the sideline for a while now. At first he had arrived late and assumed a spar was starting between the Oscuri and the other two.

But now there was talk of bloodshed and an actual fight. The Oscuri needed to be detained. He let out an annoyed sigh, this wasn't a demon or a vampire so he had little care for them.

But he made a promise to keep Hua safe, even if he wasn't a Jianghu or a Fourfold soldier. Jack raises up from the seat before stepping into the dojo next to the Qilin. "I guess if nobody else is going to do their job, i'll do it." He says as he holds onto his greatsword.

[02:42] With that Frank Armiger breathed deep, once again feeling the latent high amounts of adrenaline Oscuri produced naturally that he craved. Feeling his certain oncoming death he smiled knowing that he would finally be free from all of this suffering he had withstood throughout his life, barring a miracle occurred.

Thus he erupted in glorious blinding Azrael blessed Rieka wings, feeling free from the shackles that binded him, as he felt his death was oncoming showing all of those within the dojo the majesty of Azrael's blessed Energy.

Then he raised his Arcanium Staff, channeling glittering cosmic energy that sparkled around him, his Rieka lines already flowing full of energy further on the verge of bursting as sheer heat could be felt running within his very being from the cosmic energy he was gathering, to the point that faint golden wings could be seen trailing from his back, from the excess being unable to be held.

Gazing upon the veritable crowd of Magi that gathered from outside of the dojo, he then made his final or first of many decrees towards Jianghu.

"Know that in the end, Azrael shall save all of humanity. I regret not this betrayal towards me as I know you all are flawed just as I. Now let us suffer together, within Kraus's Damned design."

Thus he charged at Moriya, the target of all that he felt was wrong within Jianghu, his body wreathed in cosmic fire. As he swung it in a glittering arc attempting to bisect the Qilin.

[02:43] Anwar's hand clasped his head as the building's name was revealed to be a Dojo rather then the prison they had been looking for. Yet, given his lack of knowledge at the time, these misunderstandings were to be expected every now and then. The blue haired man had walked into the Dojo, ready to turn around when he saw the gathering.

"What's going on-"

He started, then saw the Oscuri. Again the confusion of what he was seeing was evident, but as soon as the word 'Oscuri' already defined had been given to Anwar..

"Right then"

The staff is taken from the reborn's back as the light glows around him.

"We'll take him under arrest. Not smart just to let Oscuri wander."

The holy magic surges around the young Qilin, still adapting to his new life. Ikkaku had been an occultic water mage.. Surely Anwar would be similar?

[02:44] Appearing in the dojo, intent on training, the Kitsune instead finds that some sort of commotion -- a crazy one at that was occurring where the Shengese trained.

..So, he moves into the middle-room and watches from behind the windowed walls. His expsesion is detailed with curiosity, and fear.

[02:45] "I'm taking that crown." Jack said as the Oscuri started charging forward. He gripped the weapon in his hands as mana surged within the Ookami before exploding outwards into bubbling molten rock that forged itself quickly into armor.

Swinging his greatsword once into the stance of Ifrit, he rushes forward, moving to take down Frank as quickly as possible with a full frontal assault.

[02:50] Yesiria stared at what was going on in mild disbelief, but ultimately sighed. She didn't have much choice but to let the Oscuri engage in his suicidal charge against the forces of Huangzhou. Possibly the only Valmasian person in the room besides Frank, she was struggling to stand by and allow what was happening to one of her childhood friends to transpire, yet she could not act against the people of the settlement she decided to live in.

"Frank fucking Armiger..."

Instead of watching what was about to happen or interfering, she slowly decided to walk away, and unless she was stopped, she would continue on toward the door silently. The Naginata she was holding was set back in its place sheathed behind her.

Her steps were slow and filled with contemplation and perhaps even regret, but one wouldn't be able to tell her emotions from her face. When she actually left, she looked behind at what was going on for a final time and ultimately resignedto leaving the dojo. A deep, deep sigh left her lips as she pressed her hands against the door to the dojo and exited.

[02:50] A grateful nod was given to the ookami at his side as he assumed position, but Moriya had neither the time nor the will to doddle- the oscuri was charging him, the others were flanking the man.

The goal was to, of course, subdue the oscuri and restrain them- and Frank's was (probably?) to survive and escape with their freedom.

[02:52] Reshi places an arm on Yesiria's shoulder as the woman passes by her-- not as a means to stop the woman, however, but rather to turn around and walk with her to leave the dojo. A shimmer surrounded the hooded wanderer as a voice echoed from the entirety of her body, a soothing symphony of a voice which was in too low of a tone for anyone except Yesiria herself and Reishi, leaning on her, to listen.

[03:01] The brawl wasn't as finely executed as Moriya hoped. Azrael's damned were as formiddable as the stories told, though the Qilin felt as if this madman was a cut above the rest- searing bullets of lucid green energy shot out at them, coupled with its etheral cousin, cosmic, but the oscuri would not enjoy forever.

When they were on their last legs, the distance between Frank and Moriya disappeared. In a quick, graceful dash, the Qilin's palm slapped forward and connected with Frank's chest, and what followed were a dozen blows of rippling energy magic that cracked into his chest, taking the air out and fracturing the bone.

With their enemy on his knees, Moriya stared down, expression hidden by his mask - but his eyes were an intense gold, fixed down on the Oscuri.

"There were many ways you failed...first, bragging that you're a priest of Dawn, the murderers of our ancestors, wasn't particularly admirable. ...I will not pretend to know you- while Azrale's cursed magic might run through your veins, you still feel sadness and joy. You are human.

"...And yet, what I've seen so far only servess to reinforce the stereotype. Unfortunate. You should have come willingly."

The crown he wore was plucked away, slender fingers moving to remove it. ""You're no king. Just a man dealt an unfortunate hand," the Qilin whispered, inspecting the object for corrupt mana- if it wasn't tainted, he'd toss it over to Jack.

[03:02] Kotori says, "Moriya, there's oscuri runni-- oh."
[03:07] Fire.

It was the opposite of what the body was used to, and it showed. The command over flames was somewhat minimal, the Qilin every now and then giving himself a burn, or setting the ends of his cloak on fire. He frowns, staring as the already bloody thing was even more ruined. But in the end it was fine.

The battle ended, and the Oscuri had been captured. In his heart, Anwar felt a little bit of relief. Standing up straight he walked closer to his senior Qilin, and the 'King' on the ground.

"We should disarm him to make sure he can't fight if we're capturing. We should also take his armor or anything else that looks dangerous. Not sure what he drank but it would be best to remove any further of those as well."

With his part said, the Qilin backed up.

"Do we have a means of securing and containing him?"

[03:10] Oscuri. It wasn't that Kotori went out of her way to taddle on them due to distaste... she just wanted to be a good samaritan while she stayed in Huangzhou. Knowing that Moriya or Ikkaku would never abide such a figure dipping around freely, she had been rushing around to try and find either one.

As it was, the situation was resolved by the time she finally stumbled into them. Moriya appeared to have bested the oscuri. Kotori looked over, feeling a little relief flooding through her.

If the fight had been outside, her wares could've been damaged... she was a little disappointed at missing one of the fabled Qilin of Jianghu fighting.

[03:14] Full frontal assaults really weren't working out for Jack lately. Instead, right at the climax of the fight he ate an entire beam of Reika to his chest. It was a good thing he was able to deflect some of the damage done with his blade so that his injuries wouldn't be permanent. He just had a singed suit of armor now.

"Did we win?" He groans out as he lifts himself up from the ground, only to catch the fanciest crown on Agartha in his hands. He blinks, taking that as a yes as he adorns it on his head.

He was now the most fanciest Lumberjack in the land.

Jack lifts up his weapon, placing it on his back with a nod to the others. "I'll just let you two handle him. Not exactly in charge of prisoners here."

"Shu might have an anti-magic collar to keep him down. Only problem is they tend to make people stir crazy if you keep it on them for too long." Almost like he was talking from experience there as he scratched at some healing spike marks on his neck.

[03:15] More or less he was taken down by the mob of Jianghu people, It was a blur, being a single round. But he tried his best, only coming to grips with the movement of the trio of warriors near the end but by then it was far too late.

Thus he felt the Qilin's palm collide with his chest, as he took a fight against a large mob of people. He felt himself losing this battle at this moment.

As a dozen blows of crippling energy magic cracked into his chest came deftly from the Qilin, taking the air out and fracturing the bone. Sending Frank Fucking Armiger onto his knees.

Gazing up at the Qilin. He just spits upon the black kimono that adorned Moriya, the Qilin in turn plucked the crown off of his head.

Thus he spoke what he felt were his final words, before he would be freed from his suffering. The suffering of the uncountable failures that he had been forced to endure despite his bursts of fervor, pride, and his faith in Azrael guiding him.

"I have done nothing but fail, what difference does more failure within my life make? Just as I failed Astrid, and the many children under my watch dead thanks to my own weakness. I have failed once again."

Collapsing backwards, he laid upon his back pitifully. Then he just closed his eyes, knowing that he was at the mercy of Jianghu at this moment. Being completely incapacitated.

[03:20] Nanyang observed the fight and everything taking place with an apprehensive expression on her face, and one that just looked like she was hoping it to end before too late. And so it did. A sigh of relief came to her as she observed the Oscuri falling, and only then the red dressed young woman stepped forward, closer to the arena where it took place.

"Very well then, I will join the escorting of his to the jail and make it certain that at his trial, my voice is heard. I hope you understand, Moriya. There is more context and history to this man than what's immediately known, and I'll make sure to present it to Lady Shu before any decision is made. Fairness."

The girl sighed and nodded, apparently, not against what just happened, but absolutely concerned about what might happen in the future. She stepped forward a few more, going closer to the Oscuri to perhaps aid the Qilin to carryand transport him over to the prison.

That was going to need some major clarification after all.

[03:25] Moriya's eyes thinned out, wincing from within his fox mask as Frank spat on his black yukata. The slight was ignored, however, as his fingers instead slipped into the robe to pull out a few vials absentmindedly, while walking in the direction of Kotori.

"Please take this man to the prison, Anwar. I will follow."

The potions were offered to the young merchant without a word, and he turned around afterward, to meet Zhuge's gaze. What she had to say was taken in silently, with just a small nod of acceptance following the request. Then his attention was back on Frank- "We are prisoners to our failures, priest. And I will tell you this...your current path is rife with mistakes- each day you serve Azrael is another where you bring us closer to death and destruction."

"If you're to atone...you'll need to realizethe truth."

Turning, Moriya made his way out of the dojo.

[03:25] Kotori says, "A-arigatou..."
[03:28] Moriya Ukitake whispers something.
[03:29] One can almost see the small forming drops of sweat on Anwar's brow as the command for him to take the Oscuri to the prison is issued. Very quickly his hands reached down, holding Frank so that he would be unable to run, but such was not what he worried about. Instead his worry was placed elsewhere..

It is only with luck that Anwar is able to find the prison building without looking funny. He swallowed, leading into a cell before depositing Frank within. Quickly pale hands search over the Oscuri, looking to remove armor as well as ensure there are no more of the potions on his person.

"Prisoner secured."

Once satisfied, Anwar glanced towards Moriya and Zhuge.

"Do we have restraints?"

[03:34] Gazing upon Moriya, he then just simply retorted in turn.

"Indeed, our failures are a flaw of Kraus Design, from which we are prisoners of. My current path is the path that shall save all, as Azrael will free me.... and even you from all of the things we suffer from."

Thus he just spoke his two cents out loud, and then he gazed upon Anwar Ukitake with furrowed brows as she took all of his remaining valuables off of himself. Even his pants, until he was laying upon the floor mostly unclothed.

[03:34] Moriya Ukitake says, "I'll put him in restraints by the morning's end, Anwar."
[03:36] Moriya Ukitake says, "That is a very shallow way of looking at things, priest. How can you think that when you look around Dawn and you see hundreds of our people enslaved to undeath, hm? Forced against their will."
[03:36] Anwar Ukitake says, "I will be right back with some attire for him to wear during his stay."
