- Since I didn't see any notes available for this game, I wanted to post mine for those starting out with this game. This game is heavy on memorization, as to go fast you HAVE to know what enemies are coming up, and how to respond appropriately. In general, try to find visual cues in the background/foreground of levels to know when and where to run, jump, and melee attack. Minimize your walking whenever you can, unless you need to shoot, melee attack, or do a long jump. Remember, to long jump you need to walk, DON'T RUN AND JUMP. This is used during Clothesline 1 and 2 in Streets, and the Operating theater in Hospital.
- I found doing Hospital first to be a preferable route when starting out with this game. This is because you can take Gurney 1 and 2 (the bucket runs) more risky without worrying about your Health Points or totally memorizing where the buckets are. You lose about two seconds on menuing, but this isn't that big of a deal unless you are pushing a low 24 or a 23. With Hospital first, you can choose to go to School or Mall next. My level route is Hospital - School - Streets - Mall. After Hospital, each level selection is one input, as opposed to the two for Hospital.
- Which level is the easiest? I've seen guides (including the manual!) say Streets is the easiest. I find this to be a crock, and say Streets is one of the harder levels (at least in terms of speedrunning). Hospital - GWAR - Mall - School - Streets would be my difficulty progression.
- Starting out, you may do Couch Fishing after a level, but you shouldn't need it once you get the game down. Couch Fishing is super slow compared to death abuse to refresh your health bar. If you struggle with lives, route Mall earlier to get the 1UP in the aquarium.
- Both characters are identical, EXCEPT the jump push. Jump push pushes Beavis, so you want to be in control of Beavis most of the game due to this. If you need to adjust the jump push, switch to Butt-head and adjust accordingly. You can use this in School and Mall.
- If you are low on HP when entering a screen and feel like you cannot make it, death abuse. It's much better to do this than go through a whole screen just to die near the end of it.
- Despite being (at best) a mediocre game, the speedrun is fun and rewards precise movement and memorization. There isn't much randomness to this game (Tom Anderson?), it's mostly your execution.
- HOSPITAL
- Hall 1
- Jump at each double door
- Jump over hammer guys
- You will probably get smacked as you go into the elevator.
- Gurney 1
- I will post the order of events here. You want to run on the far right of the screen, so the screen scrolls as quickly as possible. If you can't remember where buckets are, just spam jump and pray :P
- guy
- two buckets
- space
- two buckets
- first xray, mid bucket

- one bucket by iv
- second xray, start bucket

- iv
- two buckets
- Operating Theater
- Remember, WALK to LONG JUMP
- there's a certain jump near the end of this section that is a bit tricky, from what I can tell, you need to make sure the screen has scrolled enough to make it
- Hall 2
- Death abuse if needed
- Try to get as close to the buckets before jumping over them
- Gurney 2
- Death abuse if needed
- guy

- nurse room 1, two buckets

- second sign, two buckets
- RUN
- Butt Nurse
- The idea is to smack the Nurse with the edge of your hit box. You'll smack her, back up a bit, smack, rinse repeat.
- If you get to the left edge, just jump to avoid her attack and finish her off on the right side.
- SCHOOL
- Hall 1
- Death abuse if needed by jumping into the first skater
- Red Skaters Ride along the floor, Green Skaters jump
- Try to Keep your Gun as long as possible, don't waste shots or waste time by shooting too much
- To hit Todd while he is on top of the buckets, shoot just before you hit the height of your jump
- Memorization is pretty key here to avoid taking too much damage
- Cafeteria
- You can practically just run right and never stop
- If you need a slice of pizza, stick your tongue out (hold up) when running past Daria
- Hall 2
- You can shoot Todd or jump over him as he comes to hit you
- It's worth reiterating, look for visual cues to know what's coming up (for example, the principle and teacher)
- Court 1
- Block Basketballs by holding up
- A few of these skaters are real cheap, when the screen starts to scroll, back up a bit and swing madly to hit a skater
- Showers
- Run past the first Towel guy to get a preferable cycle for the showers
- Be SUPER careful with the gym teacher, if he grabs you, you lose a 1/3 of your hp and several seconds.
- When doing the first jump push, switch to Beavis once he gets past the showers that never turn off. You will be playing as Beavis for most of the game because of this.
- You can run and jump right along the edge of the screen to avoid the crocodiles
- Good luck, this is one of the most difficult screens in the game
- Court 2
- Be careful of cheap ass skaters before the Todd fight
- Todd can be played risky or safe. Safe strategy is to smack basketballs and sort of pull in and out to smack him. Risky strat is to essentially be on top of him, smacking him constantly, and pulling in and out to avoid getting hurt. Play it by ear depending on your HP.
- STREETS
- Streets 1
- Bait the cane attack on the first granny
- The beginning of the screen is ridiculous with the number of enemies. You may need to duck for the birds, jump, smack to left or right to avoid getting hurt. Luckily, there is plenty of food along the way, but they balance this with WAY TOO MANY ENEMIES.
- Once you see the fence and the dog barking, be careful, there's a skater coming behind you. Just get ready to smack when the dog comes out.
- I use the fence and the background houses as cues for what's coming up.
- At the end of the first fence, a skater jumps over you, then shopping carts come at you. So you run, then jump, then smack behind you for the other cart. Your inputs have to be precise, or you are likely to get hurt.
- Clothesline 1
- LONG JUMP BY WALKING
- Go to the left edge of the last piece of clothing, bounce once, then jump across. Ideally for each jump that has an enemy, you only do two bounces on each line.
- There is a set of three clothesline you do not need to wait for two bounces
- Streets 2
- Make sure to pick up the stick at the start
- Jump over trike
- Damage Boost
- Run, release run, smack manhole, jump over
- Jump over trike
- Damage boost thru 2 hydrants
- Clothesline 2
- wait for dog to go down, then go across
- smack birds/jump over, or duck, Good luck with your execution!
- run to end at final wall
- Streets 3
- Make sure to position yourself in the right apples at the start of Tom to get Butt-head on the right side
- Left side Butt-head is worse and adds complication
- MALL
- Starting screen is straightforward, eat the food that falls if you need to
- Pet Store
- This is can be super hard at first to nail. Make sure to run full speed under the snakes, or they may chomp you. Otherwise, duck underneath them.
- Your classmate will drop a slice of pizza, but be careful of the dog behind him.
- Aquarium is R O U G H when learning. small jump to hit the triple fish. Pay attention to piranhas, they will jump over you. Pick up the 1UP if you need it.
- Post Pet Store
- Be on the lookout for payphones, if you press up you can get a quarter on certain phones, and use these before Billy Bob to get food.
- Run forward to avoid snake attacks
- Super jump over bully, switch character
- The chain ladies are annoying, just time your jump with their chain attack to give them a proper smack
- Super jump over bully
- jump over dogs
- eat food before pogos (two store fronts)
- pogo stomp spiders (yikes this is kinda hard, sometimes you want to short hop, sometimes you want to high jump)
- High jump as much as possible, this is a bit faster than short hopping around
- After final elevator ride, you can get a quarter, be careful of the snake and dog
- Cart Ride
- This is a lot easier than hospital, the potted plants are not as numerous as the buckets
- Make sure to shoot the two rent-a-cops, then run right on the screen scroll to keep them on screen and never have to deal with more :3
- Just jump constantly and pray, that's my strategy
- Pogos 2
- Good luck with the spiders, if you see them shake, just move out of the way. Dying to spiders is A HUGE time loss
- Billy Bob
- Use quarters on vending machine if you want to
- bait attack, walk right
- bait attack, go left,
- rinse repeat
- I look at his head/hat fully hitting the ground before moving in the opposite direction. This isn't a hard fight, but if you mess up the loop, things can get out of hand due to the stuff falling from the ceiling
- GWAR
- We're there, dude.
- These security guards have a gun, and they can grab and smack you like the gym teacher
- On screen transitions, just run right and go in. The guard will hit you, but you'll go the next screen
- Be careful at the audience section, you can softlock if one of the skaters stay on screen at the final part of the screen ( https://clips.twitch.tv/PowerfulFunnyPuppyJKanStyle )
- Final screen
- Run along the right edge of the screen
- Turn left to shoot the security guards
- If you can't survive the attacks of the singer, just wait for his kick animation to end, then run by.
- Get in position, say cheese, GG
