  10. Thoughts on Education
  11.
  12. 1a) After reading the entire article I am certain that the author is in support of publically-funded education.
  13. 1b) Moodie’s argument is not convincing at all to me because it seemed as if she talked more about god and god related stuff than about education.
  14. 1c) I agree with Moodie when it comes to the fact that publically-funded education is a benefit to society. I believe that publically-funded education is a benefit to society and no matter how many people complain about the taxes used to pay for it; it should always stay in place as it allows everyone to have the same start as everyone else.
  15. 1d) I’m not certain of who comprised Moodie’s original audience because the essay was so confusing and bloated. Moodie’s purpose of writing this essay was to tell the reader that publically-funded education is a benefit to society and that nobody should be complaining about it.

  17. 3) Dear Miss Moodie,
  18. The state of public education in my community in the present day is to my knowledge quite good. Every student has access to computers, books, supplies and many great courses. Your essay was quite hard to get through but I more-or-less understood the main point, well what I believe is the main point. I would have to agree that public education should always be a top priority for everyone; Thanks to the public education I’m currently receiving I’m beginning to be able to program in Java and design websites. I believe that, no matter how many people complain, public education should always exist and some tax money should go into the education system. I would like to see public education extended to include education after High school since nobody wants to go into debt just to get the education they need to be able to do the job or have the career that they want to have.
