"I don't think I can really catch any Pokemon out here, like these angry Shroomish sitting behind me..."

Teagan returns Caspian. "Thanks for coming through in the end, Cass." She turns to her companions. "Don't you think we should explore a bit more around here? There were supposed to be a lot of Deltas around!"

Rivi runs off ahead of everyone since she can't contain her excitement to explore.

Thrice:
As you approach the large, solitary tree that the Diglett...ran? past, you notice that it harbors a hollow, almost cavelike indention at the base of its trunk. The entrance is about the size of that of an average home's crawl space, but much darker. It's basically impossible to make it out, and even a flashlight wouldn't help too much - it'd still be difficult to see.

Innsma:
"Hmm, I can afford a l-little more time on f-foot...but it'll be hard without Black Moon by my side at the time..."

Katherine :
"Eh? Rivi, wait hold on!" She quickly follows.

Teagan:
"All the more reason to find something to catch!"

Rivi:
"What a strange hole in this tree. Hmm..." She tries to get a good view into the inside, but fails to do so.

Teagan:
Teagan does shine her flashlight in there, but it doesn't seem to help much

You can make out what looks to be a rough...pattern of sorts. It's purple, and looks rather rugged. There's also a couple of pale yellow spheres, reflecting the light.

"You never know! Maybe it's a haunted tree!"

"That seems rather silly...but..." Katherine adjusts her glasses...

The pattern is just a small strand - it's about four or five inches wide. It doesn't cover the floor, or anything of the sort. And while you don't recognize the pattern as anything, you do notice that it's rather segmented, and a little...hm, it looks sorta like scales, I guess?

Rivi:
"Hmm, seems like a snake." She backs up to let everyone else get a better view.

All right, with that, you CAN make it out. And also that the orbs are eyes. The snake woggles(that's a word now) back and forth, staring at the torch(that's a flashlight). It seems it's entranced by it...but it's also rather ominous. Also, it's a bit brownish, I guess

The light from the scan seems to severely agitate the snake, but it does reveal something. Or rather, it doesn't reveal something: the typing

When you get near the area the Diglett was headed for, you start to hear the loud sounds of ground being upturned or burrowed into. You can also faintly make out what appears to be a confused man shouting. When you pass by the old tree that stands by the path, you see that not only does it hold a...small rodenty thing, but that Diglett is there, as well! But at the very sight of you, it flees southward.
