  2.
  3. —full name: Tanaka Katsumi ; Tanaka Seohee
  4. —nickname(s):
  5.     ° Kat > it’s a shortened version of her name
  6.     ° Silver > “Silver Tongue: a tendency to be eloquent and persuasive in speaking”
  7.
  8. —dob (date of birth):13 October 1996
  9. —age: 19
  10.
  11. —nationality: Japanese-Korean (dual citizenship was acquired at birth, so, if I read the Japanese laws correctly, it’s not a problem)
  12. —ethnicity: Japanese-Korean
  13.
  14. —faceclaim: Luda (WJSN)

  21. —personality description: Kat’s competitive as hell, more stubborn than a bulldog [and I would know], and and hates to be wrong. She enjoys picking verbal fights because, not only is it intellectually stimulating, she knows how to both flatout win and turn a loss into a victory. She enjoys the sense of pride she gets from the points she comes up with, and, to be honest, gets a bit of a thrill from watching the other person flail around for words. You’d be hard-pressed to ever find Kat doing something she doesn’t want to and having that be known. It’s either her stubborn side will come out and she’ll just not do it, or be quite loud about how it was her idea the entire time.
  22.     She’s an “all or nothing” kind of girl. If she’s going to do something, she’s going to do it loud and proud and make sure it’s noticeable. She tries to give her all with everything she does, and she can’t stand people who half-ass everything [like me with the first version of her form, rip].
  23.     She’s not an attention hog, not really. She likes to be everywhere and do everything, but that doesn’t mean she enjoys interacting with people. She’s always felt a kind of separation between her and others, which is a main reason why she enjoys debates and competitions so much. She’s not having to challenge herself to step outside of her comfort zone while talking to people, and it’s just helping to reinforce the feeling of being different she’s lived with and become accustomed to her entire life (the difference is clear in these situations: winner and loser). It was honestly a bit hard for her to become as close to her fellow Mars members as she is now, and her trainee years were positively a nightmare of being somewhat loathed by her fellow trainees, because she would always try to challenge them, an act they took as her trying to undermine their skill, but it was really just her way of trying to get closer to them.
  24. She will take the spotlight or lead the variety show or interview they’re on whenever she’s with one of the more shy members or knows someone is uncomfortable. Similarly, she is incredibly protective of her members. She knows just how painful words can be, and she doesn’t mind giving them right back to someone throwing hateful comments at them.
  25. She’s not really afraid of anything, at least not in the moment. She’s pretty impulsive and acts on instinct (which goes along with her bad habit of swearing on camera...whoops). She’s the queen of winging it, and can usually make the best decisions under pressure. The problem is when she’s trying to sit down and plan something out. Given more time, she’ll overthink everything, and won’t like anything she comes up with. She’s much better with doing things right there and then.
  26. She, like most people, craves praise. It’s one of the reasons she’s so “out there” with everything she does. She doesn’t necessarily enjoy the attention, but words mean a lot to her, and positive words being said about her goes right along with that. She’ll also praise certain people quite a lot. These are mostly her members. She grew up with a younger sister, and she always could tell how much she loved the compliments she would get from Kat, and Kat feels as though this kind of this is the same with her members. She’s their number one cheerleader with anything they do.
  27. She’s particularly good at reading people. She needed to be able to gauge people’s emotions or be able to tell what they were about to say in order to properly win in an argument with them, so she developed the skill with ease. Being very close with her sister and fellow Mars members has helped this, as well, and she tends to be able to read them like a book.
  28.
  29. —birthplace: Kyoto, Japan
  30. —hometown: Kyoto, Japan ; Seoul, South Korea (“where you were raised” “you”? I thought you didn’t want people using your afs to make themselves idols?)
  31.
  32. —background: Kat spent the better part of her childhood running around her mother’s bakery with her little sister. Helping out with decorating the desserts was where she first discovered her love for drawing and design. Her younger years were fairly quiet. Nothing that different really happened to her. She was always closer with her sister than she was with anyone at school, and she didn’t make very close bonds with her peers.
  33.     She first discovered kpop when she was thirteen, and she was especially enamored with the rappers. Two years later, Block B debuted, and she immediately fell in love with them. She begged her mom to teach her Korean (her sister, as per usual, had joined her in her begging, so their mother had no choice but to agree), and she began to practice the songs she listened to and was making covers videos to post on youtube shortly after.
  34.     It was only a few months after this that her grandmother on her mom’s side fell ill. This was around the same time that the business Kat’s father was working for fired their CEO in the South Korea branch. So, with very little warning for Kat and her sister, the Tanaka family moved to South Korea.
  35.     Kat was decent with her Korean by then, but it was still a huge culture shock. She struggled a lot in school (something that put her off from the idea of ever going to college). She got much closer with her sister, who was twelve at the time, because of this. They would help each other with learning Korean and share any new mannerisms or different cultural things that they discovered that day with each other. For the next three years, they were each other’s rock, helping to each other to get more comfortable in this completely new culture. As with in Japan, Kat was closer with her sister than she was with anyone at school, although, she did make a few friends after she joined (and completely dominated) the high school debate team.
  36.     When Kat was eighteen, her parents, although they respected her decision, were trying to convince Kat to just give college a try. They didn’t want her to simply stay at the bakery with her sister for the rest of her life. They wanted her to get out there more. She was adamant about not going to college, but she knew she would have to figure out something else to be doing instead, in order to keep her parents happy. Soon after this, Stardom opened their company for audition (I’m not really sure if this is true, year-wise, but we’ll call it good). Kat decided that she might as well try it, considering she loved kpop and was, in her view, a pretty good rapper. By late 2014, Kat was accepted as a trainee into Stardom entertainment.
  37.
  38. —languages spoken: Japanese (fluent) ; Korean (mostly fluent ; she’s occasionally tripped up by accents, considering she’s only really spent time in one part of Korea)
  39. —family members:
  40. ° Tanaka Sooyoung || Younger Sister || 16 || Student || 5
  41. ° Tanaka Eun Hee || Mother || 48 || Baker || 4
  42. ° Tanaka Kazuhico || Father || 50 || CEO || 4
  43.
  44. —habits:
  45. ° swearing in more languages than she’s fluent in > she’s been struggling to tone it down, considering she’s an idol now
  46. ° choosing random topics when she’s bored, saying them out loud wherever she is, and waiting for someone to disagree with her, so she can debate them > she does this a lot when Mars is waiting backstage at a music show or is in the car somewhere ; the other girls usually appreciate it, because it keeps things interesting
  47. ° doodling on anything (or anyone) within reach > she knows this isn’t a good thing to do, as an idol, because some pen can be tricky to wash off on certain skin tones, but it’s just become a bored/nervous habit of hers ; if she doesn’t have a pen, she’ll just trace designs with her finger
  48.
  49. —hobbies:
  50. ° decorating cakes and pastries in her mother’s bakery > it’s soothing for her
  51. ° drawing > again, it’s something calm, unlike her usual “be everywhere, do everything” kinda attitude. It gives her time to just relax and take a breath
  52. ° tricking people > especially verbally, she enjoys confusing people with her words, making them second guess themselves, etc.
  53. ° writing raps > she rarely shows anyone these ; she’s much more confident in the stuff she just says in the heat of the moment, like during an impromptu rap battle or something
  54.
  55. —likes:
  56. ° debating > kinda obvious
  57. ° Block B, Topp Dogg, B.A.P., etc. > she loves electronic, upbeat music with good rap, and she especially loves the less popular groups
  58. ° colored lipstick > it’s bright and colorful
  59. ° bubble tea > she discovered so many good shops for it around her mother’s bakery, and would get at least two a day
  60. ° rap battles > they combine rapping and debating, and she’s actually quite good at them
  61. ° Block B > she’s a FANGIRL
  62.
  63. —dislikes:
  64. ° her dancing + singing > although less so for her singing, she’s really insecure about her skills with these two talents, because she feels that she was treated more as a rapper, than a trainee (because Stardom kinda knew that they would need to put more idols into Mars, and another rapper was something they needed), so she doesn’t feel as though she got enough time to practice and fine tune her skills because she was thrust into idol life, and expected to either sink or swim
  65. ° being told what to do > things need to be on her terms or she needs to find a way to twist it so it is on her terms
  66. ° being wrong > although, this does give her a chance to practice twisting words, finding excuses, and confusing people
  67. ° hot weather > it makes her feel sweaty and sticky, and she can’t stand it
  68.
  69. —talents/trivia:
  70.     ° would probably be the best con artist, if she wasn’t an idol
  71. ° Kat gets in trouble for drawing on herself and others quite a bit
  72. ° when “Make It Rain” by Block B gets released in the Versus world, that’ll be the only song she plays for months
  73. ° although she’s been asked multiple times, she hasn’t told anyone where her mother’s bakery is > she knows that Mars gets a lot of shit for stuff that’s not even their fault (like why they were debuted), and she doesn’t want her family to have to deal with any of that
  74. ° she can bake really well > she’s had a lot of practice
  75. ° she tries to talk to her sister every day
  76. ° she never turns down a challenge > even if she doesn’t want to, she’ll still do it, and try even harder to win, so she can be done with it early
  77.
  78. < ALLSTARS - MEMBER PROFILE >
  79.
  80. —stage name: Kat > it’s a shorter version of her name
  81. —stage persona: she tends to be kind of reserved when it comes to her time just to dance or to sing, but, despite whether she’s doing either of those or rapping, when it’s her turn to be in the center, she knows how to dominate the stage, and to get everyone’s attention
  82. —audition song and dance:
  83. ° Rap: Very Good by Block B
  84. ° Dance: Nillili Mambo by Block B
  85. —why did you choose the company you're at? Two words (well, one word and one letter): Block B
